I have killed Garou several times now. I have come to the conclusion that he by killing the shadow guardians around the tower you can get him to spawn. I believe Lodizal is on the same cycle as I have seen him spawn twice at same time as Garou after I killed the guardian mobs around tower. He has dropped the skin only once out of the four times I have killed him and then I was unable to sell the club for the 6k that I wanted for it, so gave it to my druid friend.

I'm a 51 druid. this is what i recommend.
1) put SLN all your resist shields and chloro on
2) mem sow chloro heal snare root starfire and fury of the air
3) SNARE FIRST!! essential.
4) then root
5) blast.
6) (i actually killed it with the 160 dmg root spell) :)
pretty easy...BUT....
his first volley HURTS (40% life) as long as you snare/root him, u can retreat to heal.
that's it, folks. yes, tough mob.

My self (Druid) and a Necro where fear kiting the Great Ooowomp (??) in Tim Deep from lvl 32. Works real well. Sux if fear doesn't take, but I dmg shield the Necros pet first it goes in build up a bit of aggro as we DoT (and they all stack.. awesome ) fear quick before pet dies. then keep the fears rolling in. Pet keeps beating on him and feared mobs can't gate. Try this on Garoo????

This guy is VERY tough i just saw him take out a lvl 45 druid, then almost take out a lvl 50 druid with only 40% life left over from earlier fight. It is true that he gates. This is a very tough mob even if you are a lot higher, so if your gonna fight him, be ready for a long fight.
This guy is tough. He is a shaman, so he can heal, casts his DoT (Scourge, the level 39 spell), and the 39 Frost DD (if there is one, might be 34). He has about 3k hp, not too much, but he does Gate when he is low on health, heals up, and comes back. Best method is Fearkiting, that way he cant heal or gate. I am a 51 druid, and I had some trouble. Finally gave up on the root+dot because he would just heal and i nuked him 6 times with Starfire (612 damage each), which took him down. Alas, he did not drop his hide, so it does not drop every time. I was just wandering and i saw him on track, so i took the chance.

Scourge is 34, as is Winter's Roar, there is no lvl39 Shaman DD cold spell. Does he cast Venom of the Snake(39)?

How do I get this guy to spwn? I have been kiting snow cougars at that Tower of Frozen Shadow for 2 levels now, constantly checking my track.
Also, I am only a level 35 druid. What are my chances of taking this guy, and if he DOES pop, how long do I have to get a group together?

My suspicion is that the Garou is a timed spawn. I've been hunting in IC for about 4 levels now, and I've only seen it once, at 37. I spent 35-37 right around the tower, too, so I was just near its spawn point. The latter part of 37 I spent near the igloos, 38 I've been on the south side of the Bridge isle (and so probably out of tracking range.)
At 37 it *stomped* me, very very hard. It was already weak, too, from just having killed a Ranger with druid escort. I, too, am a Druid. I couldn't root it, it runs as fast as SoW (no surprise there, it is a Shaman,) casts and hits very hard. Basically, take it on like you would a tough 39th level caster-- you need to be higher (probably significantly higher) than it to solo it. Grouping it probably wouldn't be too tough, but at 35 I'd want a well balanced, full group. Higher people would take numbers off that (so if you were grouping with two 38s, for instance, that hopefully would do it.)
