Just dropped this big guy with 3 people. It came down to the line..but was a lot of fun. Necro, Pally, and Ranger.

How did you do this, any details?

I tried with a 65 Cleric, Monk and Beastlord. Got him to about 50%, cleric missed a CH to heal rampage, could not catch back up after that. Rampage and unable to be slowed seems to be the biggest problem. Another healer and I would of won easy.

Took Lord Bob down the other night w/ 3 2-boxers and had a level 58 warrior tank him =P only one death due to my lazyness healing my warrior (pfft bob was at 3 pct and i was at 30 pct w/ my warrior ) anyways, 58 war, 65 cleric, 59 ber, 65 shammy, 65 rangerX2, and a 56 chanter took this guy down like cake first try.

Lord Bob on Ec'i
# Oct 26 2003 at 7:08 PM Rating: Decent
On Ec'i server as far as i know we call him Lord Bob for short. Friends and I took him down easily the oher night. We had 2 65 bards, 65 pally, 2 65 clerics 55 war and a 58 druid. The 55 war and 58 druid did not do anything tough, they were just watching =). The 65 pally was tanking. I was playing 1 of the Clerics and only healed 3 times, other cleric healed twice as far as i know. We took him down in about 3-4 minutes. Good Luck to whoever tries this and have fun!

Hi,
i did this guy with a friend who was playing 65 war/clr and my 2 toons ( 64 bst 64 druid).
wasnt too hard after we managed to debuff him with Druid Debuff line and Incapacitate and did a ch line with cleric and druid. ( took us 2 death to learn it ). He Flurrys almost every 2nd hit and cant be slowed. took aus about 5 to 7 min to kill him.

My guild pwned him a few nights back. We had maybe 2-ish groups. I tanked him and he was hitting for 400ish average, and after the cripple and Ench. debuffs laded, he hit about like any teir 1 pop mob. Lord Donjkhjhjkhkjhkjhkjhkjh can be crippled, though he cannot be slowed. Looks like from what our 65 Ench. was saying pretty much all Ench debuffs stack.
5 People
# Apr 04 2003 at 12:21 AM Rating: Decent
Killed this guy tonight with 5 people(6 if you count the 39 Monk that came along for the loots o.O). When all was said and done we had: 1 Dead Warrior, 1 Dead Shadow knight, 1 Dead Rogue, 1 Dead Druid, 1 living level 39 Monk(FD in corner) and 1 living cleric. The druid dotted Lord Bob right before he died and Bob died while beating on the cleric.

OMG thats awsome. I would LOVE to have been the Cleric there to watch. HAHAH... or the druid to know that I killed him and saved the Cleric and made it possible to get everyone back in one piece. HAHAH... great story.

down with 3 groups
# Mar 25 2003 at 10:33 PM Rating: Decent
18 people exactly, average level 56.
one 60 chanter
one 60 cleric ( and a 51 cleric )

was a bit of a close fight with that, he mauled thru a few MTs, including me a 56 monk ( and hey i listed a good minute or two.)
he flurries a LOT at the beginning of the fight, and hits 450+ and very quickly, for he is a 65 monk afterall.

unfortunatly we got shafted on loot, one wristband, one ax, and no spells, that was it.

he is on a 3 day spawn and not too heavily camped.

Good luck to all you Lord Bob hunters :D

Killed this guy tonight, and according to our L61 shaman he cannot be slowed now (immune to changes in his attack speed).

6-bot kill
# Dec 27 2002 at 1:54 PM Rating: Good
Ran 6 toons to Bob's lair last night and whacked him.

65 SK, 65 Shaman, 65 Cleric, 65 Enchanter, 65 Druid and 65 Rogue.

Crippling him early is key; drops his DPS considerably.

And before all the ubers say how gimp this mob is with 6 65's, let me elucidate by stating that I was running all 6 toons, and that made things... interesting.

HEHE, turn off the computer and step away. Slowly open your door and look outside. That thing in the sky is the sun. At night there is a pretty thing called the moon. WOW!!

Have you ever seen the sun?

Don't get me wrong - I am truly impressed. But somewhat unnerved at the same time.
Spawn Time
# Nov 25 2002 at 3:02 PM Rating: Default
just wondering what his spawn time is?? considering leading ariad there & there are enough items dropped to hopefully keep all classes happy w/ drops, however, don't want to have to sit there all night waiting for him to respawn.

This report is unconfirmed, but i was grouped in velks and i was talking to a guy who is in one of the most uber guilds on the server (they all have primal and ToV / Kael armor and such).

The guy said that Lord Bob here could be done with 1 group and was commonly done so. i pressed him further on the topic and he said that it wasnt just his guild who did Lord Bob with 1 group, but just normal Velk groups (of im guessing 56+).

when i did VSR, that was cake (i know he's only 55) and VSR hits for 300+, but he was toast in less than 1 min with 2 groups of 51+. this guy doesnt seem to be much more than that...
RE: on Ec'i server
# Nov 08 2003 at 11:18 PM Rating: Default
this guy flurries ;) makes him a bit harder then vsr, but he is easily done with 1 group, did with a 65 sk, 65 clr, 65mage, 61 enc, 61 druid, and 51 warrior. no deaths.

I believe when finding a name for new mobs for an expansion, SoE calls in the experts. 15 chimpanzees from Africa all name *ob (Bob, Cob, Dob, Fob, Gob, etc.) these highly trained proffesionals work their magic on the keyboard, or just throw it on the ground and jump on it, in the case of this guy. In fact I have highered one of the team to come here and give a demonstration, meet Xob one of the best. Go Xob, heres a keyboard, do your stuff:

Zyxfcudilnobjahibor

Amazing aint it? He came up with that in like 5 seconds, these monkeys are amazing...Thank you Xob, and good luck, expect to see that name in an upcoming expansion.
