I was killing Othmir's for othmir fur and had a bunch of the new Defiant armor drop. Here's what dropped and what dropped them. Well most of them I wasn't keeping track of this stuff at first.
These dropped from either the warriors or shamans not sure which: Flawed Defiant Plate Boots , Flawed Defiant Plate Helm , Flawed Defiant Chain Bracer , Flawed Defiant Chain Coif
Found last night that these guys run as fast as SoE. One resisted snare, and kept up with me as I tried to get distance on it to cast again. Ended up rooting him, just so I could back off and heal. So, be careful.
lets clear this up regular harmony doesn't work on them but harmony of nature does i tried regular harmony on them and it said spell will not work on them just HON the camp and single pull them its much easier and safier
These can be quadded at level 54 as a druid. I started with Ally faction and i had to harmony the crap out of the camps to single pull at this level. Hell, if you are even the slightest worried about getting a multiple pull, harmony each and every one of those buggers. I accidentally had 6 on me one time because my harmony did not reach far enough and i almost died. I snared the two extra that were beating on me and was able to quad 4 of em, loot, and gate out.
The rule of thumb here from what i can tell is, If you can quad a pack of wyvern and be left with at least half of your mana pool you should be able to do these guys. At level 54 *with* KEI i can quad these and have around one blue bub of mana left. My wisdom is at 211 un-buffed and i have around 300mana in items. Never had a resist on my snare and amazingly i have always hit for maximum damage with my AoE target lightning spell. On the two occations i tried to root one, it was resisted both times. Not sure if that's normal or not but keep that in mind.
The key here is the pull. You mess that up and you are as good as dead, these run fast and hit fast and if you get stunned that could be the end of it. Also, obviously, don't kite them near the camps.
Hope that helps,
Ulver<veritas arcanus>, 54 druid on Mith Marr
*edit* um, ignore those guild tags on my sig...that needs to be updated lol.

And i can solo any mob below lvl52, just must be not caster (and doesn't summon), not immune to snare and located in large outdoors area. Druid does NOT need wis as cleric or shaman. Druid can med in fight, while mob rooted. or, if you run out of mana, just run away and med while he comes to you. I need only 20% mana (sometimes less) to kill something like wywern or cobalt drake by this way. Why do i need more wis? i prefer to be balanced, average hp/ac/mana, because sometimes you cannot avoid hits or casts on you, so you will die from a couple hits for 500dmg, "twinked" druids with 200wis, Muahahahaha.

ok if i want the crust armor, but have good dragon faction, will these things make me kos to dragons as well? it says it lowers othimer faction, but what about CoV faction?
dont know minimum level but every one of them cons blue at 57 so they can probably be solod individually in the high 40s. they can be quad kited in the mid to high 50s
I am a 57 Mage and I can single pull everytime. No harmony needed. I can even go 1 step further and kill the shamen if all the warriors are taken so really if you can single pull there always enough to keep the exp coming. Wizzies and Druids quad the warriors all day long but dont touch the Shamen at all. Its a shame cuz the Shamen are the ones buffing the warriors with sow and hps/STR.
You can single pulls Othmir Warriors/Shammys at lvl 57, but druids use Harmony to prevent pulling the Chief/Named once we're KOS with them. Even the pups will agro at that point. Reason druids/wizards don't kill Shammys is because caster mobs aren't quadable. Even rangers are impossible. Why? Because when one of them stops to cast a nuke, root, slow, dot or whatever on you or itself, it drops out of your 4 mob pattern and your AoE is only hitting 3 mobs. Given that most caster mobs will cast somthing every 15 seconds and you have 4 mobs doing this, you'd be real lucky to hit 2 on the same spell. So please, Shammys/Mages/Necros ect. if you do Othmir, kill the Shammys. Druids won't be upset at all, and you're leaving us Warriors to quad. Also, shammys have less hp and their spells are weak, just be sure to dispell their SoWs.
Why should I kill one kind of mob just so some druid can quad something easier? That doesnt make sense to me. Its not my "job" as a player to help some quadding druid, so I'm not going to go out of my way killing a slightly-harder mob when the warriors are just as nice.
By the way, in case you didn't notice... I hate when people quad. I don't care if its good xp for the person doing it, but when one person is pulling 4 (or more if they mess up) mobs at a time, it makes the pickings MUCH lower for everybody else.
How would those same quadding druids felt if for some stupid reason I decided to root and darkness every single Othmir. Then they're all "mine" because I landed a spell on them first, thus cutting anyone out of any kills because I can just petition you for KSing. Of course, its not like druids really care about KSing anyway.
Ok, I think he was simply saying it is helpful if someone else handles that mob. Your point is not much better. Well not really, Quading is a part of the game, the engine, the way it works. Since AE nukes intentionally hit 4 mobs. The 4 targets with snare are then engaged. They are being setup, just because it takes some time to group them properly does not mean druids are not in the middle of something. Thats like saying before your DoT finnishes, its not really YOURS. Thats insane. Besides the definition of KS'ing is once a mob is engaged. Camps, per sey are a bit fuzzy unless named, but just because they dont all hop together right away, does not mean we are not setting up.
And I think most here complain of BAD druids and BAD ideas or Tactics. With my sleeves and so on I can juggle 6-7 mobs if it gets ugly. At this time that is Spirocs in Timm Deep. But pushing 225 and with a KEI some clicking and I can handle it.
Personally if I get in over my head I can usually give a mob or 2 away, or work with others at camp, I dont know what server you all are playing on, but remind me not to go?
amen... the guy is a moron. I go out of my way to NOT help druids.. and bards. Typical necro day is as follows : finally get a good camp site. Set up camp for about an hour hassle free. Then some **** of a druid (or bard) comes takes all your mobs, runs over you while your medding, you get all the aggro and die. Then the dumb *** druid (and bards) ooc tell the whole zone that you are taking there mobs. DRUIDS AND BARDS, I HATE YOU, BUT MOST IMPORTANT LEARN HOW TO PLAY.
I'm sorry druids and bards have such a bad name, it comes from selfish people that only care about their characters, and nothing else. I make it a habit of not quadding in areas with few kills/low spawn times, or highly populated.
You all are just jealous that you can't quad.... Just like sometimes we druids wish we could get better pets, and be able to sit on our butts and just let the pets take all the risks. And it's not our fault if we take four of "your" mobs while you're medding. What are you medding for anyways? It's not like you had used up your mana with dots or dd's, is it? Zones like CS don't really have any defined "camps" anyways. I'm sorry, if I see four Wyvs all freshly popped, and somebody is sitting on their butt on the safe rock, not making a move for them, and I have mana, I'm gonna snare them. I've had to wait plenty for my turn. So, don't worry, I'll be sure to leave one for you to play with. After all, there are like 26 spawns in the zone, you just need to know where to look. Just stop being such big babies.
