At level 43, I have been fear kiting the wooly mammoths in EW. I find that they are a bit easier and yield more exp than that tundra mammoths though the tundras have alot more HP.

When fear kiting, I have found that if I kick after I fear and then kick again and count to three, I can almost perfectly time refearing them.

They are giving one blue for every three or so that I kill.

These definetely under con a bit. I can solo them but it takes alot of HP; fear kiting is much easier :)
Good hunting.
Not that Tough

I am a level 35 wiz came to EW to quad ulthorks found that the Ulthorks are pretty well camped and could pull singles. Too many PPL huntin to quad.. So i head over to the bridge and wait for a mammy sure enough a group of 3 goes strollin by so i tag the last one in line thinkin i will just pull him. No such luck the other 2 turned and charged.

I booked it up the bridge thinkin to zone. When they were out of range i started hammerin on My BOF (bonds of force spell) and presto 1 2 3 all bonded so i start hittin them with my AE fire spell and had to run back past them to finish then off.

The AE spell i used COF (circle of force) costs 175m and does damage of 205 to each critter i can only cast it 8 times from FM so with using the BOF I got 7 casts and i killed all 3 so i would say that they have about 1400hp not 2000.

I did get 2 partial resists on the same critter and finished it with a shock of lighning.

Just did this today and came here looking for info on these beasts didn't think i would end up providing any.

Do these beasts drop the same valuable tusks as their Everfrost cousins?

They aren't that weak. Just the other day i killed one that was blue to me. I was fear kiting and it hit me for colectovly 500 damage and they didn't get much time to hit me. These bad boys have about 2000 hit points.

Just like home

The first creature I saw in the Eastern Wastes was a Wooly Mammoth. I instantly thought, "Nice. Just like a second home. hehe." Theoretically a person could hunt mammoths in Everfrost and EW for quite a few lvls, though it would be very boring hunting the same mobs over and over for 20+ lvls it would be interesting to try.
