Today, I came upon this guy, looking for a merchant to sell to, and everyone in the room with him conned indifferent. He turned out not to be a merchant, so I hailed him. He quickly told me that he's gonna show me the exit, and wailed on me till death. When I came back to Kael for CR, all the giants were KoS to me, even though I hadn't attacked or hit this guy. Just a heads up, I'd hate to see anyone else take this kida faction hit for nothing.

If you took a faction hit for dying without killing anything you should have petitioned. I don't recall being beaten to death as something that results in faction changes.

Not necisarily a petitionalble thing. I can think of at least one other NPC that you get a faction hit for hailing.

We were fighting in Kael today and our ranger noticed that despite having maxed his giant factions in the bad direction that this guy still conned Dubious. Dunno if anyone knows why or really even cares, just thought it was interesting.
