Hey! Stick to the subject!
# Nov 16 2001 at 3:49 PM Rating: Good
Hey, what's wrong with all the subjects?? I mean, subject's are suppose to give info to players who gives a damn about this guy, not to hear yall guys whine. I can say(was in a raid and whoped him), that it got to be realy organized and ya got to know what your doing. Hard to kill, even with a guild, since the guards and bodyguard cream ya for lots of hp. The most thrill(i think) is the time right befor the battle. You look down on the ground, raise your head slowly. One blink, which feels like a lifetime, and you realise that the battle has already begun. Then, you truely know if you're the right man for the role which you play in the group. Good luck to yall.

Btw, boots seam to be realy good. I didn't get the head, /ran 100, got 23.. that's a *****, isn't it? 8)

Woot! We did it! well, okay we had a level 10 necro, so we were a bit higher than you, but it was easy. Necro kept him feared and we kited him. For some reason the big group of high levels got the exp. surely they didn't KS us. The high level people kept the loot but gave us a couple sacks of FS and velium weapons, so woot

#angminas, Posted: Dec 30 2001 at 5:30 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) He could have been serious- similar things have been tried, and there are plenty of people reading these pages who don't know anything about King Tormax- that's probably why they came here. Ever read about Afterlife's raid on Emperor Crush with level 1 characters? But, to the person who started this post: my level 22 warrior with a Shaped Darkwood Compound Bow, Iceflame and Jboots could probably kill 160 level 1 people. Just one big poke each, then back off when they rush me. Would make a great fight, though...I'd love to try it ^_^ \/ Oh, but I just thought of a way they could win...would work against a PC, but not against a mob...not telling how, though...heh heh...

Ammmm, not sure if i should waste my time. Only this: A lvl 1 would not be able to do any damage to a lvl 22. You can twink em as much as y want. He would not be able to hit em. The fight would not be so hard 8)

He will regen more damage in 6 seconds then 160 level ones can do to him, so he would never lose any health :) He also rampages which will kill 5 at a time :). Did i mention with 160 people in the same room the lag will be so bad no one will be able to move. heh

Need Info

OK - now that we have looked a tthe possibilites avaiable to the soloing classes in general - is there anyone out there who can add some information here about the following:

How many people/levels required to access the throneroom area? (I suspect a lot of high levels - obviously. Can anyone be specific abut the composition of their raid party - ie how many tanks, what level, how many clerics...etc..)

What techniques are used to break into the throneroom area? How long does it take? Is it likely to be a multi-pull of non mezzables each time when trying to break into the throneroom area? How many pulls before you will be able to set up for an attack on Tormax?

What's the best way to enage the king? Can he be single pulled? What's his aggro range and what's the aggro range of the guards? Are there any healers near the chamber who need to be killed beofore he can be tackled? How do you deal with his bodyguards?

What's his magic resistance? Is he vulnerable to a specific type of DD spell? When should casters nuke - at 50% as usual?

If anyone could post information that relates to any of the questions above I, and I am sure many others looking at this section, would be grateful for the information.

Warrior epic is blade of tactic and blade of strategy for one hand; these two blades combine to make the warrior epic two hand slash

**details..details..**

When you turn in the King Tormax Head to Lord Yelinak you actually receive "Clawed Griffin Sword" which you then hand back to Lord Yilinak and he gives you in return "The White Dragonscale Boots".

The Clawed Griffin Sword is a pretty nice wep if you are melee. Info on that is included with the quest info @ graffe.com

King Tormax Head
# Aug 22 2001 at 6:30 AM Rating: Good
White Dragonscale Boots!

Its hard to believe that no one mentioned the main purpose a caster would want to kill King Tormax for.

His head can be turned into Lord Yelinak in Skyshrine for Uber Boots.

Being a caster, I see no other reason for killing him, besides of course, The Ring of Lightning.

When you turn in his head to Lord Yelinak you get White Dragonscale Boots.

Item Lore & No Drop

Ac: 15
Wis: +17 Int: +17 Hp: +85 Mana: +110

Probably the best boots in the game for a caster.

Tee hee... if these boots were AC0, any self respecting caster would fall over themselves to get them. AC doesn't really matter in the face of +17INT/WIS and Flowing Thought II! ;-)
it IS a warriors axe...

not all warriors are main tanks.
theres only one MAIN tank.
other warriors can still inflict a silly amount of damage with this babe.

keep in mind: NOT EVERY WARRIOR ON THIS PLANET IS MAIN TANK ALL THE TIME.
SOMETIMES WE ARE DAMAGE DEALERS TOO!

i think what he means is : one tank (the MA) gets all the aggro and gets beat on, other warrior's that are not MA are just in the foreground whacking the mob while the MA is bait. good thing you have dumb in your name, fits you
#Anonymous, Posted: Jun 27 2001 at 9:43 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Your gay. Dude, how the hell can you say you cast anything on him when the cast limit is 7 lvls for PCs vs NPCs. Dude, if you are gonne lie, try to make it sound real... And, if it was a joke, it was gay as hell

I just wanted to see what happened if i aggroed him and i can say he and hes 2 friends came and Tormax himself did NOT hit for 400 rather 700 and his 2 friends hits a lot faster but not quite as hard...good luck
#Anonymous, Posted: Apr 11 2001 at 11:36 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) shammi was right! i almost did it myself!
#Anonymous, Posted: Apr 04 2001 at 2:15 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) This guy is actually pretty easy. Even though he's level 70 he has really bad resist to pierce. So I strolled in to Kael with my 40 ranger, got to the throne room by sneaking then proceeded to take this wuss out.

#Anonymous, Posted: Apr 12 2001 at 4:41 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) hmm he said he used a raincaller? or something like that, am i mistaken, or dont you need to be able to go to planes to get it? I MIGHT be wrong, and im definately to lazy to go look, but thats what i think i remember reading
#Anonymous, Posted: Apr 17 2001 at 11:38 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) hehe, calm down idiot. first of all you ARE wrong. Raincallers are not no drop and i've owned one on my rng twink b4. second of all, the guy was jokin so give him a break
#Anonymous, Posted: Apr 10 2001 at 10:59 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Exactly HOW much crack have you been smoking anyway? Yeah, freakin' right, you took this guy out, at LEVEL 40, SOLO, WHERE ALL THE BIG PHATTIE GUILDS HAVE FAILED, on your FIRST TRY, with a RANGER! Did I ever tell you guys about the time I took out Tunare with my level 4 bard, using only a rusty short sword and large supply of pecan logs? Come back when you know how to lie convincingly, and when you know how to spell ("leet"?)

#Anonymous, Posted: Apr 06 2001 at 10:51 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Weird... You cast on a mob 30 lvl's higher than you, wow thats really amazing, i mean its practically imposible, wait a sec..... ITS TOTALLY IMPOSSIBLE. (1) 30 lvl diffrence (2) your dots won't do jack (3)YOUR AN IDIOT, even if you showed me a screen shot i still wouldn't beleave you, If the Lord Christ him self came to me at this moment and said, "DJBOUITI, that anonymous n00bie who posted that he killed Tormax, is telling the truth." i STILL wouldn't beleave you. and further more, no one else beleaves you, who do you think you are trying to fool any ways???
#Anonymous, Posted: Apr 05 2001 at 9:17 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Funny considering he has over 250k hp and u would never be able to kill him consdering hundreds of guilds have tried and guild raids last over 2 hours against him

he drops his head ..wich when given to dwarven king rewards one of the best belts in the game ..same also works in reverse ..give the dwarven kings head to king tormax ..same belt recieved. Look under the quest "daines head"

Wrong, turning his head into the dwarven king rewards you with the trigolden hackle hammer, not the belt of dwarf slaying which you get for turning in the Dain's head to Tormax.
