As a 44 Necro: Dooming Darkness Send in pet even if it isn't Darked Cast Dooming Dark till it sticks Fear Asystole Chilling Embrace Apply Dooming Darkness after Asystole Runs out (Generally, it takes me one or two attepmtps to get Dooming Darkness to stick)
Total Mana Loss (Without using CoB 1 1/2 bubs of mana)
These things are not that tough for a 47 bst, unless you are fighting the 40 or 41 level ones. Pet usually can take them down in under 3mins but it takes a but ton of mana even with kei. Yes I said a butt ton. These things must have a good amount of hp because even while doting and pet procing and the times that ice spear decides to land with full damage they fall. I would say as it goes these are pretty easy compared to what the other mobs that give the same exp are like. So, if you are a bst then hunt the scouts first tll they are light blue then these other wise you will think you are getting nowhere with exp. I plan to hunt these til 49 and most probably past 49 real good loot and as a remider to the shawls quest people that the toes and the heads are needed for the first two shawl quest so they are even more worth the hunting.
I did the same went inside Kael, thought hey theres a berzerker with a cool looking sword. As Iam a druid of 49 and easily solo'd the ones in GD I thought to my self im gonna get that sword. started with snare and root then proceeded to dot..root broke..retried...root broke retried...I ened up taking over half of its life before OOM and having to zone with my tail between my legs.....these giants inside Kael are deffinately different from the ones in GD.
From what the postings here say, they well may have fast regen, if they were easy for someone with scourge. At 38, I couldn't fear or dark them often enough to be worth it, but with a mid-40s shaman on the team (so I can drain and feed him the hp to cannibalize) the ones in GD fell so fast that I didn't even dot.
I don't think so, the ones in Kael are probably tougher, I can drop Frost Giant Berserkers in GD like crazy as a 41 Shaman. I only casted Scourge and Venom of the Snake x2 plus pet damage and he dropped, a little more HP's than Scouts but still not that tough. They probably have around 2K in HP's in GD.
They are clearly two different beasts. The giants in GD are pushovers. Myself (48 Warrior) and partner (46 druid) could clean the berserkers in GD. We tried one at the zone boundary to Wakening Lands in Kael and got him down to 50% before the mana ran out. I would peg them around low 40's considering the hit points.
Come on they arent so tough myself a 44 Warrior and a 43 cleric healing me took them down with the cleric have 80mana left. Yes they hit hard (around 106 was the hardest)but not so bad.
Welterwar Hearmeroar 44 Halfling War <Glowing Hands> Seventh Hammer
Me and my, a lvl 43 cleric, and my friend (lvl 45 palladin, took off about 4k worth of damage before I went oom. And the sad thing is we barely got it to around 75% of it's health :(
these buggers are tough, 5 of us myself 48 mage, a 50 mage 48 paly 46 rogue and a 42 wizard took em down. suggestion let the pets tank and keep the casters sowed, let the tanks move in after 50 health keep everyone dam shielded, nuke alot and bring a chanter. the fear and snare system works good here too
These guys arent that tough, im a 45 necro and all i do is cast dooming darkness, send pet, fear and cast a random dot and they die within a reasonable amount of time with no hp loss and very little mana loss for me.
Agreed - the berzerkers are at worst a little tougher than hill giants from Old Norrath. They hit a bit harder than HGs (up to 106), but don't have nearly as many hit points as the elites.
God, i solo these at 45 druid easy too, what the hell couldnt the groups do them for, in GD they are a simple snare root dot, root dot root dot root dot, med in between of course
GD Berserkers and Kael Berserkers are to complete differetn Gaints. This GOD I soloed them crap at 45 in GD is true. Go to KAEL and he will have druid burgers for lunch!
Well, try one INSIDE Kael Drakkal and then you see.. as 46 druid i can keep 2-3 berserkers rooted-dotted in Great Divide, but i sure got beat up by one inside Kael. At first you don't have a lot of running space, at second they have a HUGE amount of HP's... And i guess a very fast regen too..
The ones in GD arent so bad but as a 44 Dru with 202 Wis and around 150 in mana gear they use most of my mana everytime. Lots of HPs and resist root oocasionally. I dont know why people feel its macho to exagerate but I can guarantee you dont root DOT 3 of these at once or in a row for that matter at lvl 46 and Im talking the ones in GD, forget the ones in KD.
Aww they aint that bad I am a 51 mage and all I do to solo the ones in the WL entrance is nulify magic to single pull sick earth pet, buff pet and ds and I only have to use maybe 3 heals and 1 810 dmg nuke before the sucker is down. my pet is almost dead but hey I just summon another and pull another usually with 201 int I can pull the beserker, and both the low lvl whatchmen before I have to med
