I was hunting these for Unicorn Meat (yes it drops from these). Double faction was involved this weekend, so these values should be halved: Gelistial -20 Lithiniath +2

Must be higher than lev 37, Rapticor is light blue to me but black unicorn is dark blue to me. With my 59 druid and a black unicorn pet we took out the mist panther, lev 37 would not be possible to do that.
Black Unicorns are higher level than the white ones and have the opposite faction hits. They are yellow and red cons at level 41, so I would say at least lvl 42-45 or so. And they are nasty, they like to fear.
as a druid L61 - I cast Sense Animals - result was to target a unicorn standing right next to me.
So if they were'nt before, They are now
VERY MR - Snare DID stick - but resisted Call of Karana 7-8 times I tried casting.
Been taking Rapticor (when up) charmed to the geonid caves and killing the geonids. Doing this because I'm working on the 8th Prayer Shawl. Rapticor works pretty well.
I can clear a series of 6-7 geonids in a cycle, where-as, Root dotting can only get 4-5 spawns in a cycle

Unicorns aren't on Tunare faction. They're either on Lithiniath (Black) or Gelestial (White). Not sure about what they'll think of you. They're also opposing factions. You kill one, the others will like you.
I'm not quite sure about amiable, but I play an Agnostic Dark Elf and they are Dubious. I'm "assuming" this means I might be safe to visit the Plane of Growth without getting jumped right away. Does anybody know the answer to these two questions?
Dudes, WTF... just cause this guy says Pegasus instead of Unicorn, you all have to get in a frenzy and post like mad about it, and the Mythical History of the Beasts Resistances?
I dont know which is worse, that guys mistake or everyones else's **** POOR excuse to waste space in the POST Section to Flame him or discuse Magic Resistance, Well.... maybe the Resistance part.
Back to my point, if one post says Hey HE RESISTED my spells.... well, why should you waste POST SPACE saying WELL Pegasus / Unicorn Are magic creatures and there for are HIGHLY Magic resistant, B A H !!! STFU already... i think thats what the POST was talkn about in the first place, get over it, GO PLAY EQ !!
Sorry, Stupid People just bug the HE** out of me, get a life, wear a condom and use excessive BIRTH CONTROL !! We the People of Higher intelligence are tired of your ignorance.
The Easiest way to find those stupid people is to look into the mirror. The minute you say something like "We the People of Higher intelligence are tired of your ignorance." you have proven your own ignorance and stupidy to the world.

So wait, was this guy trying to say they are really magic resistant? He must really like mythology. hes so smart.... I like unicorns they are pretty, oh... and kind of magic resistant...
Actually If you want to be REALLY lame, nerdy AND technical. The unicorn is a mystical beast that's horn grants purity. It clenses poisons and toxins and yes, spells that harm.... yaddie yaddie. Somehwere in the game there is even a unicorn horn, or a fragment that cures 2 times?
Anyways my point is... It *IS* a *fu%$ing unicorn. Sometimes these things DO have a historical, mythical backing. IE - high MR, because as legend states they have a HIGH mr, if not magic proof all together. So sometimes there is logical backing to it. Its not like it would be a unicorn with the powers of a Chimera....
And, as far as Pegasus, that was the winged horse of the gods. Created by Zeus. They might be a tiny bit magical too. And I am sure I will be flamed for comparing eq to mythology or D&D but lets face it... it is.
so... was this guy saying they have high MR? *evil grin*
I'm a Lvl 51 SK. Luckily darkness took. However only one fear out of about 10 tries took, and it lasted one round. I guess I am not meant to solo this creature.
The white ones are of the level indicated, and yes, they are highly magic resistant. At lvl 52, my necro was lucky enough to get off one darkness, and splurt and envenomed bolt hit well enough, but after that, everything was resisted. Hits in the 80s. Seems they're indifferent to just about everyone, even people with bad Tunarean Court faction. The black ones seem to be a higher level, close to lvl 40, and are just as, if not more, magic resistant.
Well, Pegusus are more or less imune to magic in many fantasy novels, so maybe thats why this one here also has a very high magic resist. Just a guess...
Heh...THIS is a unicorn...a unicorn is a magical horse with a horn...A pegasus is a winged horse. Please get your facts straight before you post. And yes traditionally in mythology unicorns are magic resistant, but aren't most things from myths?
Just because I like to correct people trying to give lessons. A pegasus is not correct. Pegasus is a winged stead true, but Pegasus was its name. (you know the one that spawned from medusa when she was killed) So there can't be a pegasus, its not a species just a name, reason there is no plural form. And traditionally most things aren't magic resistent from greek myths (AKA were pegasus is from) because magic was very rarely mentioned or used in greek mythology, and then almost always it was an item, not some spell.
Just an idea. I had same problem with different mob but it turned out that the mob was already snared by another player that had run off (he was hunting something else and just wanted to get rid of this mob). So it seemed that the mob ran slow and resisted all my snares but in fact he was just snared already, found that out when he finally broke snare and hauled but after me - my snare then worked.
If someone has already cast the same spell on something then it will tell you 'Your spell would not take hold' however if it is resisted then it will say '*blahblah* spell was resisted'
Actually, there are two checks that have to be made there. First check is: "Would it be resisted?" if not then then you proceed to second check. Second check is: "Is it already snared?"
If he passed the first check, he would have seen it was already snared.
