Figuring out if shell spawn
# Jun 29 2001 at 3:51 AM Rating: Default
Actually there is a exact way to figure if she will spawn or not. Atleast for us it did 8 times outa 8. Got 3 Staffs 2 robes 3 Symbols BTW. Just need a mage or necro. When someone pulls the bat, have ure chanter, if u got one, mez it then have the pet owner have his pet attack her. The pet will not attack if she will spawn. So if the pet wouldnt attack we would always mez her again and buff up and get to full mana. Easiest way i found was to pull to the mirror room. Our group consisted of 2 monks 49 and 53, 1 paladin 53, 2 clerics 52 and 54, 1 enchanter 45, and a mage 53. Just my input, hope it helps

Damn! She is Ugly! what a ugly *****! Damn, tell her if she has ever looked in a mirror!
More tips on her.
# Jun 26 2001 at 2:00 AM Rating: Default
Well my group finally dropped her for our guild's first time. First time going to lvl 7 and we took a lvl 44 Rogue, lvl 46 SK, 2 lvl 46 Chanters, 51 Druid, and 51 Pal (me). We really weren't hopin to get her with that group (lol what luck =P ) and on the second bat the SK's pet refused to attack so we knew we were in for it. Got her almost halfway down before evacing. So we picked up reinforcements. Final group was.

35ish War
39 Bard
2 46 Enchanters
46 SK
48 Wiz
49 SK
51 Druid
51 Pal

NO this is not a good group to try her with either. If we hadn't had a plan we were toast. Grouped the wizzie a chanter and the two lvl30s together with bard playing resist songs. The main tanks with the druid healer and the other chanter. Moved to the first familiar room and pulled the 2 wanderers and door guards. Tserrina was up wandering around since we couldn't kill her the first time and came on the next pull. The trick was to let the top two tanks attack alone to build up aggro for about 5 seconds, then everyone jumped in and the Chanters began pulling the Venril Sathir tactic of chain casting rune on the tanks. Druid went oom from healing about halfway through Tserrina's health. Chanters kept the runes going. We managed to stop her gating by having the pally (me =P ) and the 49 SK using 1handers and bash her and me attempting to get off a stun (I think 1 landed lol). All 3 main tanks came very close to death and I had to LH the 49 SK. Still the chain runing worked great to keep us alive so we could drop her. Was a great experience.... (yeah we shoulda brought some more of our lvl 50's but they all wanted to play in Seb hehe). Was about a 5 minute fight and very ugly. Don't recommend the group makeup we used lol. Have fun, a little brains and she ain't nearly as tough as she looks.

BTW, she's NOT an SK (no harmtouch) and not totally any other class either. She cast darkness, had a necro pet (blue to 51), but cast scourge and some other spell I don't remember necros getting. The Vampire Charm attack is a proc not a spell (same one used by VhalSera on lvl 6)

She now has a surname. From the May 30 patch. We have been killing her for a few weeks now for xp for our 40's in the guild, and to get the drops for the enchanters. She never had a last night, as you can see in the photo. Now, her name appears above her as well as in target window. We plan to do her again tonight, to see if anything new drops.

Tserrnia Dropped a Key Aswell
# May 29 2001 at 8:50 PM Rating: Default
Tserrnia Dropped a Key. The key was : Tserrnia's Key. Of Course.
It was rotting so I picked it up...well it was the smartest thign I did all night.
We went up the stairs, checked out all the purdy mirrors and ported down, the next day after everyone was gone I had Died about 3 times and decided to just have some fun adn find out what to do with the key. I identified it it came up :

Item Lore : The Gateways are yours to Control.

Well we all know the 3 mirrors on floor 1 and the fact that the one on the left on the first one, near the one to port up to floor 2,cannot be opened by any key...so I pulled out the shiny gold key Tserrnia gave me and clicked. Sure enough I pop up on the 7th floor at the room with all the mirrors. This could give way to some very quick raids on her and more loot for eveebuddy...just thot id post this seeing as the key wasnt on the loot table...I didnt read the posts above sorry, really tired...someone prolly already posted this too. Oh well hopefully this will benefit someone/s
Loot the corpse before pulling another bat!
# May 29 2001 at 1:29 PM Rating: Decent
Another thing about her is that since she can spawn from any bat, make sure her corpse is gone before pulling another bat. Last night we killed a bat that would have spawned her again but her corpse was on the floor next to us still and nothing spawned out of the dead bat.

Killed her with 54 War, 53 War, 54 Shm, 54 Clr, 52 Dru, 51 Enc. We had NO probs and had 2 add's with her. clr was OOM at end, but was barely at 80 to start the fight. Got her by suprise (HUGE aggro radius). Magic based spells, stuns, etc. are mostly useless, but shammy and druid dots/dd stuck pretty well. Just bring two tanks and a cleric and 3 others and she should be no problem for any 50 plus group. Dropped whip and gem for us.
Killed her
# May 21 2001 at 12:03 PM Rating: Default

We took her down last night:
54 Druid, 51 Ranger, 51 Paladin, 51 Mage, 48 Mage, 48 Shaman.

Druid cast circles of summer and winter and resist magic as well as everyone buffing up to max. When she popped (out of a green to 51 bat that the pets wouldn't attack), both the tanks popped discipline: resistant and resisted what she threw at us. We still took a bit to kill her and most were oom or near oom at the end but the tanks were about 60% health and the others weren't even hurt. Me, the Pally, never landed a single stun, but it helped keep the agro from her on me, and still had my Lay of Hands after the fight, never even contemplated using it. I noticed she chain'd darkness (at least 6 each time) then vampiric charm, repeat (with some other stuff thrown in). I had a 93 MR before popping resistant (so 103, I didn't check though) and was not blinded or charmed at all, as much as she tried =). She dropped the key, harnessed soul gem, and tserinna's whip.

Slashing
# Apr 21 2001 at 10:44 AM Rating: Default
Our group just killed her. I was a ranger and really wanted the whip. Tserr was slashing and in the middle of the fight i went LD. Once i got back on the people said she dropped only the symbol. Can she slash and have no whip? or is my group just lying and giving the whip to another person who wanted it. (i would have gotten back in time to roll)
RE: Slashing

yes, she can slash, pierce and crush without having associated weapons, one thing to look for however, is resisted procs... this is the only true way to know what she wields prior to dropping...

Regarding Tserrina
# Apr 20 2001 at 12:18 PM Rating: Good
The group I was in that went to the seventh floor was made up of a 52 chanter, 54 cleric, 52 warrior, 54 warrior and me, a 51 mage. The 6th member varied, at one point we have a 48 necro, then a 54 monk , then a 52 mage.

Tserrina has a chance at popping ever 40 minutes or so from one of the vampire bats. The chanter and warrior had been up here for very long so they correctly predicted when she would pop.. they would scream "ITS HER" and sure enough 4 times they predicted correctly, Im still not sure how they did it. One time she dropped the staff , 2 times she dropped the token. All four times she dropped the Harnessed Soul Gem, her fourth time going down this was her only drop.

How to fight her. The strategies here about running to the end of the "bat" hall are what worked for us. We fought our way to the Stair Room, went down the stairs, and at the back of the room there is a fake wall , with a tapestry, and a long corridor out of it. The only thing I noticed different from what people said here was that the bats do see invis, therefore, when running this "gauntlet" we would throw the barb warrior in front, all the casters in the middle, and the ogre warrior in the back and run like hell down that corridor. By the time we hit the room at the end of the hall.. very cramped I might add, we had incurred maybe 2 or 3 adds... these things hit hard.. but the enchanter likes to do what she calls "AE fun time" and they werent too hard.

Regarding Tserrina, she is, I am almost positive, necromancer class. I dont know that she charmed my pet but I know she Fear2'ed me. My pet, an air pet began wailing on the warrior and almost wasted him at one point, before the chanter stepped in, charmed the pet and had it suicide. I then recasted, and never got charmed again. Again, I am not sure if the pet was feared or charmed, but I was told she is a necromancer, remains to be seen.. I just know she is able to manipulate pets, and if you cant do something similar to a chanter charming the pet "back"... you will most likely get wasted by your own pets before she finishes you off.

Just my 2 cents.

Did it with fellow guildies of the following makeup:

43 Cleric
49 Druid
44 Enchanter
53 Wizard
50 Paladin
48 Warrior

The key is make sure your casters don't stupidly aggro and get killed. Don't start nuking until a good chunk of damage has been done. She is almost 100% MR, so even trying to hit her with magic isn't worth it. Our enchanter just chain runed on the tanks to help out the cleric. Fire was a marginal hit rate. Our 49 druid was getting mostly full resists even after Ro's Fiery Sundering. Lure of frost hit 100% so far for me, but regular cold seems like a big loser (only tried a couple ice comets before giving up). I'm guessing enticement of flame would have a 100% hit rate as well. Not sure about resists for disease and poison. Put a damage shield on your tanks and use CH to conserve mana. Lastly, she likes to cast fear and charm so have serious MR buffs up every time you pull a bat. Our paly had charm cast on him about 5 times in one battle.

I have done a number of trips in to this zone in general... and tons of trips directly up to the 7th level.

Note, if you don't have the key off of Vhal'Sera don't bother trying to get directly to the 7th floor, you still need the keep dropped off Vhal'Sera.

I've spent easily over 12 hours killing just Tserrina, and haven't had anyone die on me. Most often the group is made up of 6 people levels 42-55. Never had a group there of only 50+ people. You just all need to work together and pay attention. Never pull a bat unless you are ready for Tserrina, because you never know when she's going to show up.

A good method for moving in to the Tserrina's spawn area is to clear at least 1/2 of the main room from the outside (depending on which way you get up there... either directly to 7th floor or from 6b). Once 1/2 the room is clear move in and finish clearing it out. Then invis everyone and run to the end of the secrete passageway. NOTE... sometimes the bats DO see invis. normaly it might only be 1 or 2 TOPS. But be careful. You defetly want to be down that bat hall to attack her. to fight her from the main room, or on the other side of the 7th floor is insane, as she may gate, or you can easily get adds.

We have never had her ever gate out on us, and have never had an unwanted ADD on our hands while we were fighting Tserrina.

Good luck,

Tserrina taken out of the game?

On the Eci server Tserrina has been summoning people from the 1st floor up to her, not sure if other servers are having this problem, but there are rumors of her being removed.

It is a danger of the Zone. She only pops when someone kills a bat, so take a group wipeout killing her to ruin 1st floor fun.

Dont bother clearing the room before pulling her. If you goto the top door (from the multiple mirror room) you can pull her single easy. Also the mobs in the room and around it are on about 10 min spawn, so if you are not high 50's it will possibly end in you fighting her in the middle of room repop which can be a problem if she gates or warps.
If she is snared, she will try and gate back to her spawn, being quite MR you have fun stun'n her to stop it. We managed to melee interupt her once but the 2nd time ended in her succeding and her starting to summon us. Otherwise she will just walk. She seems to only summon from her spawn, so try and avoid her reaching it, as you will more than likely meet a full or spawning room, which is some fun when your in the middle of fighting this mob.

My guess on HP was about 8 - 10 k. At least she hit very slowly - just when she did hit it tended to be 150ish max. Being a monk of 47th level and buffed to 982ac and 2300hp I was able to avoid her melee very easily with.
We have some nice drops also, dropped 4 items for us. Quite worth the fun of killing her. 8)

Tserrina has got to be one of the coolest-looking mobs in the game. Nice drops too, our enchie liked his new neckpiece that's for sure. She put up a good fight for her level, but we were way too powerful for her - 58 war 56 clr 57 mag 51 shm 54 enc 59 dru. She didn't manage to or didn't try to charm the mage's pet, and all her spells bounced off of us. She did last quite a while for a mob of her level but we still ended up full health and cleric at 80 mana.

Other things worth picking up along the way are Student's Homework and Teacher's Syllabus (level 2), some warrior book and sorcerous bowl from Cara (level 4), and the Velium Spiked Skull Helm (Level 5).

Ok I want to set the record straight as I have both killed Tserrina multiple times and also have the Robe....none of the keys in the ToFS are no rent...all are no drop and you need a key for each level including 6-7. so NONE OF THE KEYS are no rent...they all stay with you forever but i'm not sure as to whether they are soulbound or not...since we never died there :)

Here's some GOOD info
# Feb 21 2001 at 11:25 AM Rating: Default
She is on the top (7th) floor of the tower. She spawns after one of the bats in the hallway is killed and is random -- it will be either her, or a male, or female vampire. The spawn time for the bats is almost an hour while everything else on the floor is 12 to 20 mins. She is a necromancer that has a mean charm spell (VampireCharm). Hits for up to 220 and has tons of hp.

Killed her no problem with the following group;

52 warrior (me)
51 enchanter
53 shaman
47 cleric (would have sucked to die with only 50% res!)
51 magician (earth pet)
51 druid

Think the whip and robe are the rare drops, while the symbol and staff are more common, with the Tserrina's key, and harnessed soul gem are dropping every time along with one or two of these items. Make sure to keep the torches and shadow beasts cleared before you fight her or any of the bats/vampires, they can cause problems.
