a protector of growth

The Protectors of Growth or Pogs for short, are on a 25 minute spawn timer. They have a single static spawn, which can produce one or two Protectors. They will appear about 25 minutes after their death, and no - there is no breaking the spawn.

The interesting thing about them is that they have a zone-wide aggro radius. They will attack anyone KOS to them, no matter where they are in the plane. They do not train you with other monsters from the plane however (by virtue of faction).

They do not see invisible, so remaining invis on breakin or CR will keep them from attacking you. They take 2 minutes to run to the south end of the zone and three to run to the north end, and that can be sufficient for casting of pets after invisibility has been dropped.

They have very high magic resistance for their level, the 53+ ones can only be crowd controled by a level 60 enchanter with dictate.

First off, they are on a 29 minute timer. Like clockwork. Have someone timing them, make sure you stop pulling in time to be ready to handle them.

A decent raid party can handle 2 at a time by having one group tank one while the rest of the raid takes out the other. That's worked much better for us than trying to kite them around.

They seem to be about 50/50 melee/druid mobs, but I've never seen one gate. However, they will try to run and like many mobs in SoV, they will occasionaly hit a pathing bug and unable to run they "port" back to their home spot.

IF this happens to you, camp out immediately. The pog will begin to summon your party one by one across the zone for some personal attention. Go to a chat room, give it a few minutes to heal up, then all log back in together and be ready to quickly grp up for the fight.

Gotta love these guys. Pain in the *** from what I hear. Tip for you all though: make friends with 51+ SK's. Sk can invis, zone in, hide, and wait. After some other sucker kills em, call your corpse and bail.

Of course, it's expected you port them out...
ba ba bad

Hi there,

First level isnt 55 always,it can range from 54 to 56 what i´ve seen yet. These will agro on every evil race from everywhere in pog,no matter where you are they will come and get you once invis drops so make sure to loot quick, invis quick and get your *** outa pog till they show up.We had no chance to mezz them since our chanter was "only" 56,he got no problem to slow them or dot them but he got no chance to mezz or blur, from what i heared 60 chanter shouldnt have a problem with them.Same to snare our 56 druid wasnt able to snare them at 57 it shouldnt be a problem.

They can spawn single or up to three so make sure your set and ready to fight once you went up since every evil race and anyone else who is kos in pog will agrod them asap.First time we killed just one with one group but after we got the rest from us up 2 showed up and one of these horse and since we had no chance to control them they took a nice frenzy to us....

have fun and enjoy ;-)

Gala....
Watch Out For These Guys

Might wanna watch out for these. I went in there (agnostic high elf enchanter) just to look around. Everything there was indifferent to me, so I walked around havin' a great time. I walked all over the place, then I ended up near the south wall temple where the guardian walks around. Suddenly, out of nowhere, two of these came at me from the north and beat the dog **** out of me for no reason whatsoever. I couldn't figure it out. I went back in, dragged corpse, looted and gated. I have no idea why these things picked me out when none of the other MOBs did. I was the only one in the zone so they weren't aggro from somebody else either. Very wierd, but these guys are obviously on some faction that the others aren't.

I was a 52 HI Wizard, Solusek Ro follower. I know that Sol Ro are KOS but i went in invisible to look around. Everything was fine for a bit as I moved up to a near by slope to walk around. Once I was high on the zone wall, invis slipped off and I didnt immediately do anything about it.
In about 10 seconds 2 or 3 of these came and ripped me up in a second. After being ressed by by someone in the zone, I was unable to build enuf mana up to invis before they were on me again. I finally had to bind outside of zone, and invis in to my corpse. I had to loot 5-6 items and gate. The last time i saw them coming as I gated. I assume that they got me on tracking and thats how they found me. Once I was no longer invisible they aggroed within a few seconds from somewhere in the zone.

These seem to have different faction, wood elf druid friend of mine is apprenhensively to them while amiably to everything else in the zone including Tunare. I am the other hand half elf druid worshipping Karana is indifferently to EVERYTHING in the zone (I was watching people raid and healing during downtime i conned everything). I still haven't dared to explore just in case I die in front of a see-invis mob hehe well hope info helps!

Incorrect, I act as a scout for PoG raiders as a 57th druid, and they have conned white to me and blue to a 54th level druid (also a scout with me). So they are AT LEAST 53-57th level, might have a lower minimum
