Zoned into WL this AM and got greeted by a slam of something that hit me for 812HP and stunned me but only for 2 or 3 seconds. Saw Wuoshi on my target screen so I didn't wait for formal introductions and Exodus'ed (he conned even to my 64 Druid so that is right). In addition to effects listed, she must have a DD like Breath of Karana.
65 Monk, 65 Druid, 60 Beastlord. Monk practically solo'd him, because the Druid and Beastlord were stunned 90% of the fight. I got feared once, had to mend... druid got one heal off I think, maybe two.
Today This Dragon acted very weird I think total in 3 minutes only did 5 total rounds of combat. Wuoshi was very cast happy I guess you can say. Dropped 3 scales 2 crappy piercers and bow
Those classes are the best solo'rs u could say OVER TIME.............There are some fights where usualy a Pally just cant be beaten where as a necro or somthing would get owned. But ya know even with OoW this guy cannot be solo'd purely cause of the ae.
Have watched Wuoshi solo'd by a tacvi cleric, and intend to try it myself as a pre-elemental cleric...oldworld, kunark, velious mobs aren't nearly as frightening as they were in oldworld, kunark, velious days. Will let you know how it goes.
I am a 65 Paladin on the Al'Kabor server (Macintosh Server). Our content only reaches to PoP, so we do not have much of the other uber gear that is in GoD, LDoN, and the myriad of new expansions. Our guild is currently raiding Ssra, Tier 2 PoP, and VT. I soloed him with 12 buffs and 300 AA's...
My Magelo is 1014548 and the name is Corinth Soulfire. I am the first and only person on the server to solo him. Before our Necromancers, Druids, Shamans, etc... Just learn to play your class and you can do awesome things with it. If we were able to get to level 70, I would attempt Rhag2, but until we get EP gear I am sticking with the Dragons, Lodizal, and Venril Sathir is next on my list.
I was buffed to 269 poison, and 267 magic. The poison aoe never landed on me. The druid had 209 poison. The poison aoe never landed on the druid either. The battle was easy. I had the drgaon down below 70, before I even needed a heal. But at that point the dragon seemed to run out of mana and started to melee. Druid got feared alot and couldn't land hand of ro at all on wuoshi. I was feared maybe 5 times, for 1 or 2 ticks. I only took maybe 20-30k damage the whole fight. Which lasted maybe 10 minutes.
Note: wuoshi dropped Cani4 which isn't listed for spells
I think wuoshi could be solod by a smart VT equiped or better paladin as long as he got buffed before the fight.
Awwww.... Wuoshi is too pretty to kill. If you are already non-KOS to CoV dragons, there is no real reason to kill this lovely dragon girl.
None of the gear she drops is all that amazing by today's standards. Wuoshi drops spells and such yes, but all of them also drop from other mobs of similar level, and without any faction issues to worry about. CoV faction takes so much work to max out (bleh), that I personally simply "bow out" on dragon raids most of the times (with the exception of NToV). Besides, I love Velious dragons hee hee.
Anyway... if you are determined to go after her, be sure to have some decent resists up... DMF from necros is nice, and basically buff up the same way you would for Severilous on Kunark, or Trakanon. Her melee is fairly rough but not too bad... 500's or so. She does summon.
Wuoshi does not have many HP's and is only lvl 64. Since she was written at a time when no one was running about being level 65, and twinked out with Ornate or better PoP gear, she is hardly much work to defeat these days. If you are looking for a better challenge in Velious, I suggest taking a shot at NToV mobs, or getting keys to Sleeper's Tomb and having some fun in there.
Wuoshi is in place to remind folks that without CoV faction, you had better not even think about traveling to Western Velious. That is why she sort of haunts the dragon portal in WL... to catch the unworthy. I love that idea, and thus I leave her be.
Perhaps. A few things though, you'd have pretty decent poison and magic resists yourself to keep yourself from getting feared and dead from the AEs (and pets use your resists too if yours are better than their normal resists which I would hope yours are better than the pet's by 65). Keep the Valiant Companion spell up on Bob at all times. Chain cast pets. I wouldn't worry about LoH really, even with it and the 64 pet heal you aren't going to be able to keep Bob alive with a mob that hits in the 500s, chain casting pets is the only way I'd say. I could be wrong though. Try it, it's only death.
Unfortunately chain casting pets is a strategy that won't work when the mob summons, which Wuoshi does.
I suppose you COULD wait to see Wuoshi say, "You will not evade me, Jabober," because that means he just summoned your pet. At that point you would have 20-30 seconds to summon a new one before Wuoshi could summon again.
You're timing would have to be split second though. I think a lot of luck would have to be involved for you to pull it off.
His first AE would kill your elemental pack unless your resists are just insanely high. Also if he has a damage shield then your elemental pack is toast.
Any mage won't be able to do this. Enharjaren is one of my best friends, and he's probably one of the best equipped mages in EQ, and definately one of the most skilled ones too. :-)
he spawns in the port in "dragon circle" lol sadly for me and a raid"headed to PoG" i was in we dident know that. well he hit for 520 and rooted for 260. and can see invis. :(
Not very many, I would think it wouldnt be hard for a single group of 65s to take him out. I was going to PoG with a group yesterday and he/she/it was up, and they wanted to give it a go, so we asked a few others to join us, only 2 came.
Took a long time cause most were stunned for 3/4 of the fight, but it ended with a dead dragon and no rezes needed. I estimate it took 7 to 10 mins maybe more.
We had 65Shaman(me),65Chanter,62Paladin(tanked it),65Cleric,62Rogue,58Shaman,57Wizard,56Wizard.
I resisted all of the damage from the AOE, but was stun'd quite a bit and feared several times.
Hope this info helps.

And the definition of proc is a process that automatically happens during melee combat (or has a chanse of happening). Clickies aren't the same as procs.
I've killed enough frost giants that the Coldain consider me an ally in normal half elf form and warmly in wolf form (they start out hating wolf form). Is that enough for the Velious dragons to con at least indifferent if I haven't taken any faction hits with CoV?
CoV is definetly one of the slowest factions ive had to bring up in the game.
Start to try to get CoV faction up one nite, started at threatening, and spent 5hrs or so camping the Giant fort in GD with a 65 Mage, 53 Necro, 54 Cleric (Me), 51 Bard, and 57 druid by the time I logged I was still conning Threatening.
So either the GD Giants and Wolves add almost no CoV faction or CoV faction is tuff to get.
However once you are up to dubious you can turn in the Giant Warrior Helms from giants for the faction.
A quick way to check your CoV faction is to con Kardakor in Great Divide. He is the only wurm in GD on CoV faction, I believe. All other wurms in the caves have no faction (young, elder, ancient, guardian, cyrstalline, Matriarch, Broodmother and Shardtooth). He lives in a back room in the wurm cave. Most mobs there are lvls 34-42, and a couple of the roaming elder wurms see invis.
Be forewarned, Kardakor is lvl 60 with some really powerful cold based magic so, of course, becareful getting too close. That sounds obvious, but he has been known to agro through walls and AE for 1250.
Once you know where this guy lives, it is very easy and quick to check your CoV faction (that is coming from PoK).
Not likely. Claws of Veeshan is a rather slow faction to increase.
Safest way to check CoV faction that I know of is to get invised, get a port into Cobalt Scar, make sure nobody is kiting near you, turn off invis, and con anything up on the same plateau that you ported onto (er, specifically con Wyverns and Drakes. As it is possible that someone dragged up a Bulthar or something that are not on CoV). If you are worse than dubious, port out, or kill the wyverns for good experience and average loot. Only assisting in killing the named Drake(Azureake) or Wyvern(Yvolcarn) will affect CoV faction.
Get into Kael Drakkal with 2 or 3 strong groups and kill everything you can handle. There is not a more fun way to get your CoV faction up.

Hello, 40 ranger here, and I was just wondering could a lvl 50 ranger, a 65 rogue a 61 SK a 61 druid 51 bard and a 55 maybe higher chanter take down Wuoshi.. I want the blade of luclin =P
Killed Wuoshi tonight on our way to KD for Vindi. We plowed to arena, around the 12th or 13th mob we killed I was already back to max ally CoV. Not a big hit at all.
Does noone roleplay in EQ. I mean you spend hours and hours in Kael Drakkal building up faction with veeshan, presumably so you can go and get dragon armour. Then on a trip to KD you see Woushi up, and so you kill her (yes her, I believe, not he as so many seem to think). She'll have been sitting there ignoring you all coz you're all amiable to her, and what do you do, you shove a knife in her back. I know its only a game, but if it was all about killing everything you see, then we'd all be able to go and kill home town guards, and guild masters. Ok, so the faction hit is small, and easily repaired...................so what................if you don't kill her then you don't have to repair that faction.
Sometimes I wonder why all the people, that go around killing everything that moves, don't go and play Doom, or something similar, that would more fit their apparent intellectual level.
Kill something that hates you - or something that you believe is corrupt - not just anything that moves
I can verify this. In regards to CoV faction, the hit is quite small. I was max ally when I took a Wuoshi hit, on the way to Kael. By the time we got to the ramp to the arena, I was back at max CoV faction.

Posted:Nov 23 2002 at 5:10 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) my guild on Mith Marr was finishing up some kills in UP and started to gate people down to WL to kill Statue/AoW in Kael. This little dragon happened to be up, Luckly our Main tank was one of the first ones down, and proceded to tank the dragon until a cleric or two zoned in...then after about 15 or so of us have zoned it was all ownage. Gotta say pretty weak dragon for nice lewts.
My stratagie for heading into WL to by ports ect is to go in with SoC up zone in cast it and run like the Cheeta, never once have i died from her in a nuke or direct hit only once from a dot.
