Found Shardtooth at location n4815 n634 n401, The HP may be there. But keep in mind that Shardtooth may
spawn anywhere in the zone. Dropped a Chrystaline eye, Shard wurm fang, and 2 wurm meat.
PH may be an ancient shardwurm or an elder shardwurm.
Also, before Shardtooth spawn, Vluudeen and Blizzent I killed them, thinking that they may prevent Shardtooth from spawning.

This is a pretty reasonable take on Shardtooth's spawn. I basically ran through the cave, in a circuit, killing any pathing wurm. It took a bit of time, but it eventually popped. I did kill Vluudeen and Blizzent, just in case it did have something to do with Shardtooth's spawn. They were not up when Shardtooth popped. A pathing Shardtooth was coming from the area that was marked on the maps when I caught up to them.
Dropped a Rune of Al'Kabor.
I was on my way to Plane of Mischief when I noticed Shardtooth was up so I killed it. I didn't get any Crystalline Eye as I had expected but instead I got Rune Etched Icewurm Fang
Never seen that one drop outside Kael before so no idea if it was a fluke, someone from Kael dropped it, or if it's just rare drop.

Killed him yester day, 62 ranger, only had V. Dotted and whacked away, very easy, was down to like 50% at end of fight. Dropped the eye.
Also picked up a couple spells killin greenies on the way.

I was heading to Velkator's Lab, from PoK book in this zone, and I saw him wandering around the enterence to VL. He was walking all around and was blue to my level 48 cleric. He doesn't stay in one spot.

Killed this guy today solo at level 46. He resisted quite a bit but kept Fear and Dooming Darkness up with Asystole and medded while pet chewed away at him.
He was only difficult because of his much larger HP pool than the other Wurms and his tendency to resist but all in all he's a fun guy to play with.
He spawns just outside the Wurm tunnel as you head down the river from Thurgadin and for me he dropped the Flayed Skin which will be nice for my level 8 Pally :)

i found him just inside the cave entrance coming from thurg
I was hunting for wurm biles when I ran into him last night. I was told that he nukes hard and has a ton of hp, but since me and the dog were buffed and I was FM I figured what the heck. He dropped like a sack o' taters, and at the end I was 3M & both myself and the hound were around 90% hp. Took a couple BoN's, 1 Plague, and 2 BoP's, so around 4-6k in dots/dd's + hasted pet damage. He didn't melee hit over 120, and his nukes were around 90-ish max. I don't believe he cast wrath though, which is typical of the young shardwurms. He dropped the eye and a research page.
Nuked me today for the typical 150. Proced faster than I'm used to. Also was good at resisting my about 1/3 of my casts. No wrath cast this time (fortunately).
This Guy was a joke! 49 Beastlord, no buffs cept Spirital Light and C3. Died with 40m left over, and that is SOLOING. Broodmother was a little harder than him.. Haven't tried the other named Wurms yet.

Today I was doing the Kromrif Military Leggings quest, and some friends from my guild were helping me. I am a 38ranger, and my friends were. Eagletalon 51druid, Tiese 42cleric, and Emmylou 43warrior. We took him down no sweat.. Of course your all thinking "DOH, you had a 51druid for nukes and DoTs etc." But he was resisting almost everything Eagletalon had.. He hit him about 3times during the whole fight for 300+ I think.. But it was Emmylou and I that did the real damage. Tunic dropped. Giving it to my guild bank for a lower lvl though. We all had KEI by the way. Hope this helps someone.

Well tonight decided to take the council down to GD for some fun. Brought 7 of us along and a chanter from ex. who will remain nameless either way 8 men, lvl 31-38, and a whole bunch of shardwurms. Started out with the warmups on the elders. They fall down too easy, followed up with a few single pulls of ancients. Put up a nice fight. Accidentally got a double pull of ancients. We ended up at around Half HP by the end of that one. Cleric still had mana tho. And then comes THE shardwurm.. Shardtooth. honestly it was an accident as I didnt figure we could take him down. Hadn't really reasearched that much on him. didnt really care as he was aggroing our monk. ran him in with two groups one group had a druid 2 chanters and a mage, second group had a ranger, monk, warrior, and a rezz monkey. Fight lasted about 4 minutes most of which was the last minute. Keeping in mind that we werent expecting shardtooth. We werent at full HP, werent fully buffed. and really didnt realise what we had our hands on. Either way Drood had KEI and short term god complex started poppin DD and died, at this point shard is at around 80 percent. Continueing on we beat and beat and beat and beat for a bit. get him down to 10 percent. cleric goes oom. Monk falls down, 5 percent, I fall down. boom shard is dead before I even get back into GD. All in all i would say moderate difficulty mob, decent AC and lots of HP as all velious mobs are. got the flayed skin off him. no eye. If we woulda prepared a little for shard's appearance I believe there would have been no deaths. and honestly it would have been no more difficult than the 2 ancients. Good mob either way he is a fun kill. Gonna be smokin him much more often now.

Me and some friends were playing our alts and decided to give this guy a try. We had:
43 ranger
34 ranger
34 enchanter
34 cleric
34 rogue
I was the chanter and was lucky enough to land slow right away after tash. Of course he chased me a little, but the 43 ranger was able to get aggro back. Then it was a simple matter of chain casting beserker str/rune on the ranger. The cleric was casting heals to the point of being oom after it was done, and the ranger fell at the end because of that. It was a fun fight. We were moderately twinked--not sure untwinked toons could pull this off. We casters had 240+ wis/int, and rangers were using cof and rbg, with fb's and jade mace/lupine dagger. Anyways, was a lot of fun, kinda makes you feel like a noob again :p

OK, lets night i went in and killed him twice, both times he droped the tunic, now the clencher, i am a lv 50 druid, using my best nuke a 612 hp nuke, i watched how much damage was done, one nuke does under half a bulb of hp, so i caculated it out, hes got somewhere between 6,000 and 8,000 hp, luckely i wasnt alone doing this, had 3 necros with me, :), pets rock

I have a lvl 39 druid who happened to be exploring and walked into a cave where this wurm was running in after another player. The local campers and I all jumped and helped him kill it (was red to us - all of use were 39-41 except the guy who we rescued he was 45). I was stunned that my fire based spells did full damage to it even with the level difference. Snare did not stick but he didn't seem immune.
Anyway the rescued player let us roll for the loot and I won and lo!... druids seem to be the only class who cannot wear the skin! I laughed and tried to give it back but no one wanted it so off to the bazaar it goes. I was shocked to find it had good value. I guess pure casters like the stats and the option of wearing something other than a robe! Heck I am wearing a crystal shroud from CC so I know the feeling.

He must be level 42, he conned even to me last night. Our group consisted of 48 Monk, 45 Druid, 42 Warrior, and me a 42 Shaman. We did fine, but we made sure healers had near full mana before we took him. It didnt really take all that long, and I dont remember it being all that difficult. The monk pulled him just outside of the caverns so there were no adds. The eye droped, and I won the roll, barely. ;-)

Level 42 mob? I don't think so, he just about mowed through a lvl 40 tank, 31 pally, 41 druid, and me 40 mage. If some lvl 50+ hadn't have come by and snared it, we'd all been walking from bind spots... the thing has insane amounts of HP. I nuked the thing for 390 contantly, I used an entire mana bar, and I only did about half it's life. Don't mess with him unless you have a full group of 35+.

Well it might not cast any nuke on you but it does GATE!
Me, 46 shaman and 48 mage friend pulled him and sick our pet on him; DoT and nuke crap outta him, and it was low on health, it just gated!
My mage friend was so pissed cuz we all OOM after a long fight, YES it does has double or even tripl hp than an elder wurm

You might have been out of aggro range. I, a lv48 druid, ended up having to melee to death. went oom with hardly any resists. One thing that helped is my Warden Symbol of Tunare (right click root) He stayed in place with snare long enough for me to beat him to death.

He's an easy kill, just has a LOT of hps. Hit me max for 109. The guardian wurms (inside on the left) hit me for 115, so standing up to him is easier than his lower-level friends. You just have to stand up to him for a bit longer, because of his HP.
Cleric used CHeal exclusively during the fight, for mana efficiency, and I think she had to hit me with it twice before he went down.
All in all, not a tough fight, just a long one.

Charmed him and had him kill 8 elders(light blue/blue) and 3 ancients(all blue) before finally putting him down. Dropped the flayed tunic. Took me about 2 hours to kill him soloing, but would have been shorter if I had been able to find more ancients. He killed the elders way too quickly.

This wurm wasn't that hard, I soloed her at 49. All my mana got her down to halfway dead, from there I had to keep rooting / medding / DoTing. Took about 20 minutes but in the end she was dead and I had the Crystalline Eye.

Arggo'ed, snared, dotted, and kept close enough for him to want me while pally whacked at it's heels. Dropped only the Flayed tunic, and there was absolutly no faction hit as with all wurms in GD. BTW I am a 52 druid and my brother was the 37 pally.
