Me (Aumdayr the Wizard) and my buddy (Schadenfrude the Necro) ((both Dark Elves)) duoed this guy earlier today, just to say we could. Now, he was level 12 and i was level 11. So what if he was twinked out the hoozah, with 1k hp 1k mana 15 mana regen. We still did it. MAJORLY high magic resist on my Shock of Lightning spell, but Cold and Fire did fine.
found on 4th floor in kt, tried with 2 toons, both lv 18, both with maxed skills and twinked with gear selling for under 100 pl, warrior had no chance, forced to zone, cleric nuked him to death, ended with 2 bub health and 2 bub mana, he seems to be placeholder for thick boned skel.
Easily soloed by a level 15 mage. Used the water pet - maybe not the best choice, he ended up dying. But cast a few Burn spells on him and down he went.
I solo'd this little guy today at with level 21 necromancer. My roommate watched a level 24 melee class get chewed apart yesterday by it... I don't understand!!! As all of the other posts say, he hits for 65 damage. I had pet tank while I DOT'd it 4 times and lifedrew it 3 times. Between pet and I it took 639 damage to kill it, so it has quite a few hitpoints. I killed it in almost exactly one minute because it died a few seconds after my first DOT wore off (my gear helped a lot though). Melee classes beware, he hits hard and fast. This little rodent wasn't as worrisome as he is made out to be though, I didn't have to kite it and with spirit armor my level 20 pet didn't even die.
i attacked with my lvl 19 today and he beat my butt. he hit me for around 65 to 74 yikes killed me in about 5 minutes but i got him down to 76 percent lol
Took me a temp and an cloroplast and a cuple other smaller buffs but i killled the dam thing at 16th lvl, just got to get there and run (sow) right up to the top and kill the stragglers that follow, rest up a sec then go at it if its there (i checked first), you will get pounded on as it trys to run away but if your not alone (i was) then the others can clear out the skeles while you do your thing or befor (dont take too long dont want your cloroplast to fade befor you get the job done) and hay,, it was a close call with all that solo,, but worth it.
I love this little guy. He used to worry me when I was a little enchanter but now, at 52, I make him pay.
I cast Discordant Mind and bring him down to 13% and he starts fleeing. My 49 pet takes care of skelly adds as I follow him downstairs. Every now and again I whack him to keep him on the run. When he passes in front of the entrance, I mez him, blur him, Incapacitate him, then give a lower level character a chance to beat the snot out of him.
They love the xp and the collar and I love the vengence. Win/win. :)
im a lvl 18 bard kitty, i was wondering through Kurn's saw the little bugger and took him out. it was np he hit for max 65, pretty much cake was a 2 min fight
I have 3 characters that have played in Kurn's from levels 9-20 or so. Only 2 of those characters have seen the odd mole. My Cleric was level 19 when she encountered the Mole. She was in a full group levels 19-25. The Mole was the smartest NPC mob I have seen so far. It promply rooted the Warrior, Shadowknight, and Monk in our group and went after the Wizard. It was triple and Quad hitting for 45-65 (most were 65). The wizard dropped quickly. It then turned to the Monk and against my best healing quickly dropped him too. The mole was at about 40% health at this point, although I don't know how because he resisted almost everything we threw at him. At this point he healed himself up to full health. This is when we all got really nervous. The SK, War, and then our Shaman dropped soon after. I was still at full health and had about 30% mana left. The mole had about 5% health left. Convinced I could beat it, I started casting on it. It resisted and ran into the hallway where it promply GATED out. Needless to say it was disappointing at the least. My second experience was last night was when it got trained onto my 13 Ranger and company. As you can guess, it went a lot worse, not to mention quicker. Be careful when messing with this thing folks. It may have the hitpoints of a level 20, but it has the spells and power of something much higher.
My level 20 Beastlord soloed this today, only took 3 pets all my mana and a bout 2/3ds of my hps this little bugger is a beast, hitting for 65 most of the time, sadly i couldnt find the corpse, cause i let my 3rd pet chase him down to kill him and i didnt want to get agroed by a skele and die. , could have used the belt just to have a no drop item in that slot =( (i play on Ralloz)
At level 19 he was blu to me so I gave him a go. He dispatched me and my pet like we were ants.
Level 25 I come back and try him again (green). Well he is hacking up my pet somethin feirce and having an aego on I hop in to tank some for the pet. Not good my health was droppin pretty fast. So I back out and root him root breaks real quick. Darkness spells dont stick to him and my pet is about to die time for this Necro to fly out to the zone I go with this little guy a chasin me and me prayin the dots damage him enough to put him in retreat so I can finally kill him. No Luck I got to zone or risk losing the aego if I melee and die
Level 30 back I come for this little green guy again no aego this time. Result pet dead and little mole chasin me out to zone. (got to love jumpin off the balcony for a quick exit)
Well now I am 40 and me thinks it is time to go pay this little guy another visit and see what happens.
A group of us took the little anklebiter on and probably would have crushed him without loss, save for too much DD done by a careless chanter. None of us are over lvl 17 though... we had a 11 paly, 14 chanter, 12 shaman, and a 17 chanter... Only one of us got killed, or hurt for that matter... I think they may have made this guy a bit less powerfull... but not any slower...
It does seem like a lot of things changed with Legacy of Ykesha... Especially difficulty and XP in a lot of zones. I noticed it a lot in Field of Bone and Kurn's Tower. A lot seems dumbed down...
Does the pathing of this guy take him down the stairs? I was looking for Solists Ice Wand together with a Ranger friend, and at one point, we were whacking some skellies on one of the stairs, we suddenly see the little guy scoot by. My friend yells KILL THE MOLE!, so we ignore the skellies, Snare&Root the little critter, and a few quad hits and nukes later, I was wearing a Tiny Collar on my waist, instead of raw silk ...
