Owned Renux tonight with 60 Necro, 60 Druid and 51 Rogue. Renux is immune to fear. The necro cast Funeral Pyre dots and kept aggro while the Druid snared and I poked. She never took the Necro to more than 3 bub life and he had 60 mana the whole time. She did aggro me once when she broke the snare and got hit 3 for 179, 168 and 134. Renux did take the "rogue" pet out pretty fast but it went smooth "like butta", when we began the snare/kite. She dropped Mask,Skean,JDD and Belt as well as the note.Good luck to you my breatheren.

we did it with 2 groups wavering from 55 to 60 me being 53(the rogue) she died in about 25 seconds... main tank was a pally 59 and a pally 55 they both got aggro cuz of that dang stun but our two clerics kept them alive =) she is a sinch no need to kite if you have 2 groups

Took her down last night with a 60 war, 60 druid, 60 cleric, 58 ranger, 58 shammy and myself (51 rog), didn't even try to kite her. The warrior's epic was resisted the whole way through.
Took a while but eventually killed her, warrior was at one bub three times, make sure all are at full mana before getting it on.

With a high level cleric and tank, you can stand toe to toe against Renux. It helps to have a chanter/shammy around. I've been tripled for 300 in Velks so getting tripled for 180 by Renux isn't a big deal hehe.

SHE CAN BE TANKED... a friend of mine had 1 group of lvl 60's and himself.. noone died... Rogue got the stuff, lalala happy ending. She DOES hit for 200+, but the epic Enc mob that spawns in Cabilis hits 300+, and we tanked her with a 51 warrior (halfling at that). She IISSS tankable...... get dat in ur hedz

We took her out with one group. 60 Clr, 60 war, 60 SK, 59 Druid, 57 Chanter, 53 Rogue (me). No deaths but her.

We took her down with 16 people last night. 2 clerics, 3 druids, a 59 pally, 55 warrior, some rangers, 3 necros, myself, and a few more...
Things went a little haywire with the kiting so we just melee'd her. She ended up killing the 59 pally before the rest of us smacked her down. Just goes to show it is not even that difficult to take her down without kiting.

i would just like to say that Vexillarius and Torvus Vir took down this hussy tonight at 4:00 am central for our rogue Maen Vaer of Vexillarius.
it is part of the rogue epic quest. if you want more info look up the epic quest then. we had 2 or 3 groups of us and we kited (and i dont mean fear kited she CANNOT be feared we snare aggro kited) this hussy while combat rezzing the troops that got killed right away when she didnt aggro on our druid. she hits REALLY hard i mean hit me once i was stunned... i never became unstunned. but in the end she was meant to die at the hands of Vexillarius and Torvus Vir

Knights of Loyalty mushed her tonite. She died purty quickly. Did it wif 3 grups, even with one encumbered by yourz truly (I is 35 seasons at this moment). Had filterz off so not sure whut she hitz fer regular, but she did hit me once fer about 150. She dropped the rogue epic part, ravenscale piece, and the SWEET no drop sword (10/25 1hs, secondary only, proc poison) which made itz way to my hands.
Tactics were purty much like dis as far as I culd tell:
1. wait fer her ta git triggered
2. let 1 tank build up just a tiny bit of aggro (maybe 2 swings)
3. all melees engage (we had LOTS of melees)
4. druids, necros, mages, shammies, everyone else blast away
5. laugh at ded rogue
6. take stuf frum ded rogue
No deaths -- well, maybe sumonez pet doggie died.

Alas..she does attack pets. We tried to take her down in a very unorganized raid last night and she attacked our necros pet.

I snared her, dropped lure of flame on her three times and kited her around steamfont.
She followed me for a while, tanks attacked until aggro went from me to the tanks, i resnared, dropped another lure and she followed me some more.
She died real fast with minimal damage to tanks, a little damage to me, hehe.

The Norrathian Elders attempted to kill Renux a couple days ago using similar tactics as listed here. Primarily, we were interested in Fear-Kiting her. Unfortunatly, as of the most recent patch, Renux became immune to Fear (I recieved the message 'Your target is immune to Fear.' - or something like that). Needless to say, the bodycount she left behind was staggering...

Killed her last night 7-18-01 heres how to do it:
WE had a lvl 60 druid who landed snare right away, we then had a lvl 60 wizard nuke the livin crap outta her right away, this caused her to walk after the wizard the whole time while the assorted melee and pets walked after her flailin away, the wizard got hit twice otherwise noone else was injured, fight lasted under 5 min.

BTW she dropped a ravenscale cloak and belt, the triloch skean and the two quest pieces, jagged diamond dagger and translated parchment

As it has been said before, don't bother tanking her. She quads for over 200, rarely misses, if ever, and hits so fast (round after round) that even with a defensive disc a lvl 60 warrior would prolly die in a few seconds. Quicker than a CH anyway, I think. So don't waste your time trying to tank.
Get those classes, all as high level as possible, I'd say 55 minimum, 60 is a great bonus:
- one mage or shaman or chanter to debuff her resists as much as possible
- one ranger or druid to snare her
- at least one good pet class member (mage or necro)
- at least one fearer (the above necro would be fine. Get two necros for best results...one kites while other tries to fear).
Battle:
All casters stand as far away from Yendar as possible, withing casting range. Everyone is fully buffed, pets buffed, and sow on everyone including pets. Very important to have sow on everyone INCLUDING pets.
- Rogue hands in the items to Yendar. Renux spawns.
- Rogue or another melee aggros Renux with an arrow/throwing dagger and starts to kite her around.
- All pets engage Renux
- Mage/Enc/Shaman tries to debuff the MR of Renux until it sticks
- Druid/Ranger tries to ENSNARE Renux until it sticks
- Fearer chain fears Renux, pets bash her, she dies eventually.
Don't underestimate her. I killed her yesterday, took a long time, because I neglected the debuffing part. We almost failed. She has a lot of HP's (anyone know how many?), and two 51 druids casted maybe 200 snares on her, all resists. 0 out of 200 snares landed. Just so you know.

Renux is part of the Rogue epic quest for the Ragebringer.
She will spawn when you hand Yendar the Book of Souls from Hate Plane and a Scribbled Parchment. She will spawn where Yendar stands and he will vanish.
You MUST fight her with pets. If she attacks you.....you will die, plain and simple. I suggest two pet classes and a druid.
It is possible for a pet class to solo her but I wouldnt suggest it unless you're lvl 60.
Before the Rogue hands in the two items the druid sows everyone (including pets!) and gets snare ready. Hand in the items. snare and sick the pets on her as soon as she spawns. If she is not snared run like hell allowing the pets to smack her around as you keep her busy. Keep trying for some sort of snaring effect to help. She has a ton of HPs.
I suggest two pet classes because she does have some kind of small heal. We had her down to the "R" in her name when suddenly it would jump back to the "N". We didnt think we were going to be able to do it but we had someone lure her and all went well.
All in all she's pretty easy. She will NOT attack the pets so its anyone's duty who she goes after to just run around with sow while the pets do all the work.
She drops various Ravenscale items randomly plus a nice sword, diamond dagger (one of the three items to turn in for ragebringer) and a parchment that goes to Stanis in Highpass.
Also, to get Yendar to spawn (if hes not up) visit his brother in the wizzie guild in akanon and ask "who is Yendar" to get him to spawn.
He cannot be spawned until 2-3 hours after Renux was killed so you cant have a line-up of rogues waiting to do this unless they want to wait some.
To tell if Yendar is up just type /target yendar. If you get a message he's not near then he's up and about somewhere. If you get no messgae he's not spawned yet and you should try his brother in akanon.

They nerfed the ability to do that. Go into Oggok and type /target Nagafen and it will tell you that you don't see anyone around here by that name. Was nice before it was taken out, though.. looking for those rare spawns? /target rare_mob01

Dmg10 Delay 25 SvPoison+7 Effect Clockwork Poison, the poison in theory sucks cuz it only does 5 dmg but it also has a Stun Effect which lasts for quite a while and can give you the advantage of smacking the crap out of the mob for a while, This weapon is Secondary only so it is best to use it with Kunzar K'juch the DoT/Snare effect of teh Kunzar and the poison/stun effect of the trochilic's skean makes a deadly combonation espeicaly if you solo.

She is not hard when we killed her we Snared and feared till she died but you cannot solo her because you will run out of mana ;) She will only Spawn when a rogue gives the caster gnome in the smr the thing they pickpocket from DE guild master

Your facts are a little off here. The rogue has to hand the parchment he/she gets to Yendar and he will respawn then hand him the new parchment and the obok of souls from the plane of hate. This will cause Renux to spawn. The guild master pieces go to stanos for the combined parchment you first give to yendar.

In addition to the sword she drops, a high lvl rogue on my server told me she drops the new ravenscale pieces, I.E. Mask, Belt, Shoulderpads, and Cloak. Oh and before you think I am making these items up, do a search on Alla's site for Ravenscale

yep, its true. You need to kill Renux for the rogue epic quest:The Ragebringer. She drops the parchment needed, and various ravenscale items. Our rogue was lucky, she dropped the shoulders, cloak and mask, and the skean.
