I love reading all these posts about how people killed the mob with no information on how to find/spawn it. No one cares if you can kill a mob.
Thanks

NOTICE the dates of the posts... back then, it was a BIG DEAL when you killed a mob like this! No uber gear and such... not even the defiant gear was out then.
So why don't you but them a break, huh??

Cazel can be soloed by a 60 enchanter (and potentially as low as level 46). On the TLP Lockjaw server, I just killed him solo. There is an NPC next to the Swamp of No Hope zone line that you can charm with Allure. His name is "Andad Filla" He might wander though, I have seen him directly north of the "Orc Camp" (and East a little bit of the Sand Giants camp, where the abandoned tower is). Any way, Charm him with Allure and he will kill Cazel in about 20 seconds or so... Easy. Tash him, charm, haste... Thats all you need on him. My CHA is 242...

Cazel spawns directly West off both the Wizard spire and the Orc camp on your map... Up against the wall. At level 60, Cazel did not resist any of my spells. Not that i needed to cast any but i did.

Extremely easy fight - as long as your charm doesnt break. his respawn timer from what I have read online is 2 - 23 hours.

Good luck,

Confirmed. I just soloed him now on Phinigel as a L50 enchanter. The first time charm wore prematurely and I was vaporized. But I came back and gave it another go. Charm lasted the whole way through and Cazel died.

Came into zone on my Enchanter for spoon and saw there was a lvl 100 grease ball farming the sand giants.... why? Less than a minute later I get a message from them offering to sell me the spoon for 5kpp.

And they wonder why not very many people are playing anymore.

look at Departments post about the spawn location... as of 8/14/2012 he still spawns there... (west of the wizzy spire and orcs just like Dep says)

a bit weird though... he spawns, runs towards the wall hangs out for a minute and then disappears (scared crap outta me and made me think i just missed him being up as i was prepping for battle) he then respawns about 20 feet away and runs back to the same location. He did it about 3 times while i was buffing up and stuff.

Pretty easy kill... Im a 62 enchanter using a healer merc (and mostly defiant gear since thats all the rage these days). Took about 3-4 mins. Used my pet as well. Hit usually between 60-200 but nothing the healer merc couldnt handle as i didnt drop below 80%. Started w/ root, then dot, then nukes from there on out, no problem at all.

I also didn't notice any regen that people were talking about. Other than that, all i can tell ya is he started to run at 20%. Not quite sure what he respawn timer is as he was up when i got there.

This is where he spawned, right in front of me, after I cleared the sand giant camp twice. (There was 11 sand giants).

I popped into the wayfarer's camp in South Ro with the intent to find ank kill Cazel. I ran all over the zone finding only one giant which my companion (70 Beastlord) removed out of this life. I wasn't sure how to spawn Cazel so just started killing everything. Then I noticed 'sand giants' marked on my map. Cleared there camp and no Cazel. I started running South and there he was, directly west of the wizard spire and north of the wayfarer's camp. I have my spoon. 56 Chanter, tash stuck, so did every other debuff I threw at him. Of course I was just playing around. I was, after all, with a 70 lol.

OK, had my 65 warrior ( 12 aa's & no time gear etc.. 9300hps & 1432 ac) running to south ro to farm sand giants and burn up the remaining time on my conviction. I spotted Cazel standing just north of the wayferer's camp and thought he was just another named sand giant( like Gregan the overseer or Husam). I saw the LB con and thought...wow i will actually get exp for this one. I didn't worry too much since all the other sand giants were cake. It wasn't long after I engaged him that I realized this was no ordinary sand giant. I was swinging my Edge of Envelopment for all I was worth and watching my hps going down just as fast as his, only problem was that when I would pause to take a health pot his would go up as well. 5 minutes, 3 health pots, and a whole lot of frustration later he was at 15% health and started to run. I wish i had snare. He headed for the other sand giants and with me being at 20% health and waiting on the recast time on my health pots I didn't like this idea. I finally dropped him right before he reached them and all he was carrying was the spoon. His regen is insane, but my wife is happy to have the spoon for her chanter alt.

Heh, I underestimated him.
# Oct 20 2006 at 4:29 AM Rating: Decent
I was in South Ro just this morning (an hour ago) and Cazel was up near druid port in.

I seriously underestimated this guy. He's LB (the new LB) to a 61 Druid. He didn't resist anything I threw at him, but with my meager DoT's, he was regening anything I could take off of him.

So I nuked, 1200 damage, did about 8% Hp, when he summoned me I said ***** that! And zoned.

Fun times. But yeah, this guys not a push over, stupid regen!

I was wandering around Oasis on my 69 chanty with my 59 rogue friend, looking to spawn the Ghoul of Takish-Hiz. This guy was up and I kept going around him because I figured he'd be a pain to kill.

Well, he finally started to get on my nerves. Hasted up my pet with Salik's and the rogue with Vallon's. Pulled him with a slow which he did not resist. Kept him good and mad at me by chain-nuking Psychosis while the rogue backstabbed the bejeebers out of him.

It took me about 2 minutes to kill him. He was a serious joke. Slowed, his damage was laughable. He went through one ethereal rune on me (1950 dmg). I casted a second one and he was dead before it wore off.

The rogue wields his epic and a Soulpiercer. His dps (without backstabs) + my pet's was about equal to Cazel's regen. A backstab or nuke would then make a noticeable dent in his hps.

Rogue and I are NOT time or even elemental geared. We both are holding epics and wearing a bunch of stuff bought from the bazaar. So if you're a higher level person don't be afraid of this guy. Just bring DPS with you. :)

Ran across him with my wife (58 shammy) and my Wizzy alt (53)
His regen is so high that Bane of Nife and shammy Epic dot barely covered that.
Between her pet and my nukes we took him down but it took a while and he did run but not till 10% health. A 1000ish HP DMG nuke does 1-2% damage to him I am no math wiz but that = TOO many hp LOL
Passed spoon off to Wifes Chanter alt.

Chain Fear
# Dec 16 2004 at 5:02 PM Rating: Decent
Was strolling through Oasis long time ago (just after luclin) with my brand new spec pet, had just dinged 59. Saw this guy and thought to myself "Im a big bad necro I can take him.
Forgot he summoned, Loading Please Wait. Ok that was embarrising, lets try this again. Grabbed a rez stone out of my bank and my fear stick (staff of the dreaded gaze). Ran back to my corpse, rezzed it and when I had the mana got another pet up.
Medded to full loaded dooming darkness and a lot of DoTs, sent pet in then snared Cazel. Then I started chain casting invoke fear with my stick. In between fears I dropped my dots on him.
Took forever but eventually he dropped, gave the spoon to a passing enchanter. Was pretty proud of myself that day.
Trick to him is to chain fear and keep the dots on him to cancel his regen and let pet do most of the grunt work.

I must be getting old. This guy hits for about 250 and double attacks. Now when I had a 44 warrior I was well geared and couldn't take this guy. But your undergeared 44 warrior could solo him? With very weak weapons?

Maybe it's just me...

I was in a group that was goin to Nro LDON we were all 55+ and we came across cazel and my group thought what the hell lets kill him.we sat there hitting him we got him to 82% then in one tick he was at 99%. Oh and BTW somone told me he only had 300pt regen pet tick but believe me i was doin over 300 a tick alone and we couldnt get him down 5% again. We all died cept 2. if anyone ever kills him tell me cuz i wanna laugh at that stupid giant.
