Words of Capacitymy guild (Lowland Elites) was doing Fear today and this mob spawned while we were there, hehe, chanter happy ofcourse :)
anyway, to help with the ongoing difficulty of the spawn time discussion, here some more info which i hope helps:
spawned around 18:00... thats 6 pm GMT +1 hour (euro mainland time) and CT was not up (7 july)

In the Plane of Fear: Warrior; Wraith of a Shissar is the bottleneck in the Enchanter Epic. She appears in the very top floor of the temple between two phoboplasms. A Druid with maxxed out tracking skill was able to track her from the zone in.

In Fear Itself: Hits for a max ~11,500. Spawns from gorgons in the pit in the northwestern part of the zone. Note: For all map points of nameds in Fear Itself (for "thuledream.txt" map files), see this quest entry.

Ok, I have FINALLY finished my epic YAY!!! Just to help out, Shissar IS on a 7 day spawn time! Don't believe anyone telling you 2-3 days, this is what I have so far.
Saturday May18th-Shissar up
Saturday May25th-Shissar up
Tuesday May28th-Shissar up (one day after CT was killed)
Tueday June5th-Shissar up
The only thing that changes her spawn time (aside from any patches-can't confirm those) is the death of CT. They are still connected, regarless of what anyone tries to tell you. Once Cazic dies, one day later Shissar will spawn, and once killed, respawn 7 days later.

As a continued response to my post before about our week-long Fear camp to get the Shissir, I'll say that a week later we tried again. If you note on my post I said that CT popped on Saturday and we didn't have the force to take him. Sunday Shissir popped, and I got epic'ed (yay). The guild decided because we knew this, we would try again a week later. Saturday, faith CT popped again that night and was killed by another uber guild on our Server. The next enchanter and his hydra'ed druid camped for Shissir.
She ended up spawning on Monday morning, and unfortauntely the enchanter had fallen asleep at the keyboard and we lost the camp/spawn to another guild.
Again, she spawned up to 72 hours after CT died.
So from my 3 experiences with her personally I've seen her pop 2 hours after CT died, about 20 hours after CT died and about 42 hours after CT died.
Before people started claiming that a patch message said that Shissir was no longer connected to CT's death, it was said that it was possible for 2 shissir's to spawn after CT died. One would pop exactly 5 days after the first one was killed.
I believe this to be true as well.

I've been in Fear forever now trying to get this piece to complete my epic, and I can confirm she DOES still shout every two hours saying "I shall return". I do believe it can be heard anywhere in the zone, same as any other mob who shouts. Anyone with any more info on spawn times please post here. I've been doing quite a bit of research and have almost nailed her spawn times down exactly. Thanks!!!

Ok, my 53 Monk friend camped in fear for me (what a pal huh?) to get this last piece of my epic, the Shissar. I was talking to some other enchanters and they said that the Shissar doesnt shout at all anymore!! I kinda got worried, because the whole basis of him camping there was to watch for the 2hr shout. Can anyone confirm that she STILL does shout every 2 hours? And if so, can it be heard throughout the entire zone? Please say she does to put a worried enchanter's mind to rest =)

She spawned in between wipe outs on a failed CT raid. Cazic was up at the time.

I have been timing the times he has died since I went on a raid and saw him killed. He spawned exactly one week later, I have been in tells with raid leaders who went in and I KNOW he didn't spawn before then. One week!

Zoned into fear as usuall with my druid to check for my last epic mob this Sunday - And behold, on track: Wraith of a Shissir.
Got guild up there, started clearing.

What most likely happened to you is She was killed by Amy knights. Read in description, I saw a guild almost lose her to one once.

she says something along the lines of "i will return" when she despawns. about every 2 hrs she'll do this. hang out about 5 mins and she repops. hehe she did this to me after we had cleared everything in the temple but her lol i nearly died cuz it was like my 40th fear raid in 2 months. but sure enough she returned.

I started my epic when they first came out, almost two years ago. I must have been to PoF well over 60 times in this time, and the FIRST time I'd ever seen it was last week. Things dont' survive long after they pop, and over 10 guilds have mules parked on virutually every spawn point in the land.
Well yay for me... finally she's up while we're clearing to Demi's for the first time ever. 4 hour later the crap is cleared and we kill the first Demi. Suddenly, Cazic shouts his "come to my aid" message and repops the entire zone. Ever been right by fire circle in Fear when the zone instantly repops? It's painful.
Almost 2 hours later we finish summoning the last corpse and people are wiped... I've got 2 hours until my alarm is due to go off for work. Oh well, another sleepless night playing EQ with nothing accomplished.
Stupid Epic. Did I mention that last week I finally saw the Vamp Essence drop in Hate? I think I'm on my 4th full suit of Insid armour now... thank god I'm so sick of that place.

oh man so youre telling me the chanters epic has gotten THAT much easier, i was pretty worried too about haveing to take down cazic for my epic, now all i have to do is take this sob down... hmmm not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing, im sure she will be heavily camped, just like verina tomb is in neriak... but oh well, all i have to do is just take her down, and that is it.... i for one will be on the search for her now, this was a part of my epic that i was really worried about...

You make it sound like you're going up there to solo her and that there's enchanters sitting around waiting for her spawn. Though she no longer springs from CT's corpse, you'll still require a raid-level event to get to her.
I imagine groups raiding PoF will have little trouble finding chanters. :)

Did the Wraith move out to CT with everything else in Fear, and if so where does it now spawn in CT, or does it still remain in PoF?

Dude Shissar are snakeman and i doubt the 6 bane dmg on the Greenmist will do anything on her

Ok. Here goes. No one has posted how to kill this thing so I shall :)
First, It no longer despawns when it says "I shall return". It shouted this 5 times in the 16 hours we raided fear.
Now, This mob spawns in the temple. The temple is in the fire ring. Inside the temple are 16 amalgamenon knights (however its spelled) which can ht for 600 - 800 pts of damage).
First clear the area opposite cazic from the fire wall. If draco is up, make sure to time it so he is not roming on top of you when you pull.
You can not pull the knights like any other mob. have a cleric with divine aura up. The cleric runs through the temple, with divine aura, and gets spammed with HT message. Then the cleric trains the knights around the zone. make sure they don't get to far away, or they will train your group.
You now have 2 choices.
1. a Feign puller grabs the knights one at a time off the train, and your group slaugters it without much effort. or 2 or 3 if you are a good enough chanter to crowed controll them. They have a pretty high mr. 240 chr at 55 was able to mez w/o any trouble. After the knights are dead, whomp up on the highly mr shisshar.
2. have the cleric train the knights around while your group pulls and kills the shisshar.

The Wraith of a Shissar no longer spawns upon Cazic Thule's death. She spawns independently on a 24-72 hour timer inside the temple, and can despawn, in which case she will shout "I shall return." She is particularly nasty for a lvl 55 but we managed to smoke her last night pretty easy. We had 26 people present. She drops the Head of a Serpent every time. She is seldom up for obvious reasons.

She can drop vermiculated the same as any other gorgon, dropped legs last night along with her normal loot.

Usually when people post "your group doesnt know how to control agro" they dont know what the hell they're talking about themselves. Tell me Mr. "high end game", how does your group control agro? Explain to this poor idiot main tank how to taunt.

Its not that Main tanks dont know how to hit the taunt button, its that the other melee people in the group dont know when to stop attacking. controling aggro is much more then just taunting a mob.

FYI in the end taunt does so close to nothing that its not worth using it on big mobs.

I'm an Iksar SK..will I lose faction with Cazic fighting in PoF?
I dont know if she is a Shissar or if this thing is a completely unrelated creature but if she is a femal shissar they could have a least kept to the description they make of the things and make a model for this stupid thing.
