Actually I've quinted a bunch of these by now, all types, and I believe every type of Syldon can be snared/rooted and doesn't summon, except of course any nameds, if there are any. I haven't seen a named yet...
Some are sk's because they harm touch but I've resisted it every time so they're not very good at being sk's.

Can be snared and rooted, does not cast and there's a whole passel of them in the zone. Got 3 aa's for killing one with no Lesson running. Solo with no dps enhancements, took 3 mins and used 20% of my mana bar.
