While sitting just outside his room, Gynok Moltar, who normally is seen walking around on the 1st floor, suddenly appeared running down the tunnel and jumped me. He was an easy kill, but a bit unexpected. I don't really see how he could path down, must fall through a trap or something to get there, but how does even get aggro in the first place ? Odd. Aggro in Befallen is really bad, I have to say.
So after spending a few hours camping this guy, I noticed that a couple of his PH's are bugged. If the PH is "a dreadbone skeleton" or "a willowisp" TWO of them will spawn, one just inside the wall and one in the room. Ghouls and the other skellies only spawn one. Interestingly, the necro theurgist does not seem to be one of the PH's. They'll spawn in the other two spots in the room, but not his. Pretty low spawn rate for him, the mobs are all on a 9 minute cycle, and keeping them clear the SK shows about once an hour.
Befallen was once the stronghold of the Order of Marr's Fist. Now it is home to an evil energy that seeks to destroy all light and life, a mighty force that tempts the evil and power-hungry of the world with promises of power whispered to them as they sleep. In truth, these promises are a trap, for even the blackest of hearts can not compare to the darkness within Befallen. More than once, a villain has been lured to this fell place and bound permanently within it. Within this underground tomb living creatures are slowly, inevitably driven mad, and the dead are given a second, vile semblance of life. Creatures trapped within Befallen have their own hierarchy based on their relative power and the favor of the darkness that dwells there. Currently Befallen is commanded by Redak Brokenskull, an undead troll who came to the bunker in hopes of taking its power for his own. Once trapped within, he had to overcome the original agent of darkness (a zombie called Gynok Moltor) and its dark elf agent, Lord L'Rodd. Once in control, Redak made a pact with a group of gnome necromancers to trade their service for the secret of granting unlife. Since the dread gnomes have moved into Befallen it has been remarkably quiet, yet no one trusts that to last long.
I was in the Warrens recently on a raid, and was the same level as a drood group member. Several of the Mobs that hadnt agroed on me for a few levels were still agro on him, and when we conned the tougher spawns there (if there are any there :P) he was consistantly conning blue and yellow to stuff that conned green and blue to me..
Ok, bein a troll shadowknight (lvl32 ATM) I know fer a fact shadowknights DO get buffs at the level of this mob. They have grim aura, which for me always gives 13 extra attack points, they also have vampiric embrace which procs occasionally for a lifetap when u hit, at this level i believe for a shadowknight it procs a 13pt lifetap, they can also summon a level 12necro pet at this lvl which should be dispatched with ease. These are the only buffs a shadowknight of this lvl can do and should not cause much of a problem.
When entered hidden cave area, follow right wall, you will end up in small room with 3 spawn, one of middle is his spawn spot, most of mob in Befallen's spawn time is 20 to 30mins... if you didnt know this will help you a bit.

Only a half wit could buy into a 10th lvl ANYTHING taking down a 25th lvl troll SK, and only a complete f**king moron would write crap like that and think people would believe it.
Sometimes he drops bone bladed claymore, 17dmg about 45 or so delay and -8agi. He can also drop bronze claymore which is crap unless you still sell bronze weapons. Sometimes he has no weapon. He will always drop all three keys tho. When stuck on the third floor you have to kill him or the DE SHD in another part of the third floor to get the 'no rent' smoked glass key which opens the door on the third floor.
I was camping Gynok last night, got bord and started pulling this guy to the top floor. I let a 25th level enchanter kill him and she got no exp- he is very green to her.
If you've ever grouped with people of simular level, you may have noticed by now that the same monster may condifferently for different group members - what's blue to my troll shadow knight at 13th level is actually red to someone elses dark elf rogue who's also 13th level - that's because a 13th level troll SK is tougher and deadlier than a 13th level DE rogue - I bet this guy will probobly con atleast black to me by 20th.
Heh. That is incorrect. The only way that the same mob can possibly con differently to two people of the same level is if they con different spawns of the mob. /con does not take into consideration your weapons and equipment, or your race/class combination. It is based purely on level, and will only represent level differences. You have to understand what that means based on the type of mob you are fighting. Some cast, some quad, etc... take this into account when you are deciding whether to fight or not. A mob one level down at level 4 is more likely than not an assured victory. For a mob one level down at level 40 this is not necessarily true.
Oh contrare! My 25th Paladin was conning yellow things, when a 22nd Warrior friend of mine was conning them blue! Same Mob, smae time. The computation used must be very complicated because it seems to take into account many different factors. My armor was better than the warriors by the way, but our weapons were pretty even. I THINK its HP's + Level (and maybe abilities) vs the Mob. But it IS possible to con different to different characters of same level.
I agree I have a lvl 12 Necro and a lvl 12 Monk. MOB's that con blue and black to my Necro con yellow and red to the Monk. Might be because the Nec has a pet.
I soloed him with a level 23 monk and he barely hurt me the secret is to hit him right away before he can buff. and since he takes forever to spawn he is rarely there before you start to camp him
He (or she, can't tell with trolls, they are all ugly)is a ShadowKnight. ShadowKnights get buffs like: Resist Cold, Resist Disease... Even if "buffed" this troll shouldn't be much of a challenge. He lasted, oh about 30 seconds with me. Dont get me wrong. I saw him wipe the floor with a level 26 player.
