"Your flesh sears from your bones" for 500 dmg

In under a second, I was able to turn around and see him i thnk, and he did:

and a dot

I was dead so fast... he came up from behind me... just as i was going to gate, to camp for the night =/

considering Veeshan's Peak is nearby, this guy must be easy to whats in there.... less than 1second =/

#Anonymous, Posted: Oct 27 2001 at 12:30 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I might be wrong but i think if a wurm or other thing on miniouns of scale faction agros on you he will assist it. that could be why he agros when he cons warmly or whatever
#Anonymous, Posted: Oct 12 2001 at 4:57 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Perhaps an other possibility to be attacked by an amiable or warmly dragon is to be grouped with someone who is kos to him.
Great for getting Haste gear
# Oct 04 2001 at 6:20 PM Rating: Default
He drops RBB and CoF. So asll ur tanks will get either. If ur guild can master him they can cream trak and he drops cloak of piety so all ur tanks get VERY powerful haste gear.

Nasty piece of work. With 180 buffed FR and 120ish buffed MR, I didn't even partially resist his 500 damage ae or his fear, but I did resist his DoT two or three times. It's nice that he doesn't dispel though, no one would even try him if he dispelled too. Next time I go for him I'm taking my MR stuff - that fear had me running for almost 40 seconds - I'd rather get the DoT early int he fight and actually be able to hit the dragon while I'm dying instead of running away and slowly die. =)

Take your MR stuff as a priority I think, and FR stuff on any slots left over.

232 MR, 267 HR., resisted his DD twice, landed every other time. Pretty mean draggy, we still dropped him though.

Someone is making some stuff up....267 fire resist? The cap for resists are 255. So 267 cannot be true.
RE: Talendor
# Jan 09 2002 at 4:42 PM Rating: Decent
I hate to burst your bubble, but the 255 cap on resists was lifted four or five months ago. I don't know what, if any, the cap is now, but it's at least 300.

Seen resists well over 300... only problem is that the resists have a soft cap on them, so after getting like 100 or so, the effects of the resist gear drop dramatically. getting 300 will help, but having 300 resists isnt necissarily 3 times as effective as having 100 resists. So sacrificing all of your armor of HP to get more FR isnt exactly a good choice. Get your resists up to a minimum of 100, but after that, stick with your AC and HP, especially if your a warrior.
#Anonymous, Posted: Sep 14 2001 at 4:48 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) the first time i tried to attack it.. i sicked in my pet and buffed it before the fight.. of course all of necros should that.. my pet emissary of thule was in trouble.. he was getting jacked... his hp was at 30 percent.. i decided to make another one... i casted it again while the pet was still killing it.. when health was at like 11 percent.. i told it to get lost and i made a new one.. 1100% health and it killed it.. the things i didn't like about this guy was because it resisted 5 of my darkneses!! i promise never to fight him no more.. :)!! plus i lost a peridot

ok, so let me get this straight, you tried to solo this guy? Most people with half a brain would'nt consider even thinking about soloing a level 60 named dragon. Also, your pet would have died in about a round or less, but before that he would have aggroed you from the pet send in, and you would have died in the first 2 hits for 500.

Actually, I would have survived until the 3rd hit for 500 (assuming that they all hit for max damage and that none of them missed) if I was only on my own buffs. And my pet would have lasted at least 3 rounds if he was my 49th pet and at least 2 rounds, again, assuming that he get's both attacks each time and all of them hit and hit for max damage. You'd be surprised, I have survived some crazy situations... but I admit it's the exception.

Besides, he said he accidently pulled him.. that's what you get for not looking what your pulling tho :)

He was fun to kill but his AOE dot is a killer =P
He droped a cloak of flames, and 2 druid spells and a shaman spell sheild and a bracer also. I think more people died after the fight from his AOE then anything else :)

I was soloing in Skyfire when I saw this wurm walking close to the BW zone. I targeted it and hit it was darkness. It resisted it and hit me for 550 damage. Then i looked at my targeted screen. Oops, I actually saw a Taunting Attack Master from my pet before i heard the sick sound of bones crumbling. The next this I saw was another 550 and a bite for 500 then loading please wait.
I swear I heard Burp sound as I was going back to bind point.

Lords of the Dragon on Mith Marr dropped him with about 6 grps of 50+, dropped him pretty easily too. Only the Rogues died =) He has:

-AoE Fire DD for 500, with added DoT that will kill you unless you're healed like crazy or annuled.
-Hits for around 500.
-Drops everything Nagafen will drop
-Has an AoE fear that can turn things ugly

Was scouting Skyfire with my favorite crack merchant today. We were being very cautious, hugging the zone wall with levitation and camo, and checking my druid radar every few seconds to check the con of criters in the area. Suddenly, my "buddy" says follow me and heads towards the center of the zone. From there I see a great view of the dragon statue holding the sun and decide to take a screen shot.

As I come out of full screen mode, this bad boy is clawing me for 520 a pop. (Yes I was in wolf form, someday I'll learn.) As he quickly sent me back to hell (45th), I heard him shout:
"Yum, extra crispy, but still tasty"

I guess that half elves do taste like chicken.

I killed naggy 23 times before I dinged 53. closest I ever came on a CoF was third highest roll.

I raided this dragon along with 60 other guildmates, unfortunately we were destroyed. With about 10 lvl 60s, and 50 lvl 50 to 59s, we were murdered. He casts a AoE Fear that is casted over such a massive area, I was barely able to see Talendor and I was feared. A lvl 60 warrior with 280 magic resist was also feared like the rest of us. We only got him down to 50% before the last of us died. His DoT is a MEAN fire based DoT. I was hit with it and i had not been buffed with FR yet, so at 100 FR the DoT, having been hit with it only once, killed me (2500hp). Take alot of precautions before messing with this guy, he'll fear the casters, and take down everyone with his DoT. Make sure you have at least 30 lvl 57+ with 255 resists or above to magic and fire, it'll help.

your guild must suck. Try looking up tactics in the dictionary. It may help you take out a dragon with 60 people.
Info on Kunark dragz...

All the named, level 60 Kunark dragons are basically the same in terms of loot. These are Gorenair, Severillous, Talendor, and one other of whom I cannot remember the name. They all have different skills/spells, and are different classes. They drop different quest loots, but they all drop Nagafen/Vox loot, along with Faydedar in Timorous Deep. They drop their own loots as well, which include; Dragon Hero Bracer, scales, spells, various blades, etc. They also each drop a drag-specific shield - Green Scale Shield, Red Scale Shield, etc. They reside in Skyfire Mountains, Dreadlands, Emerald Jungle, and Burning Woods.

Talendor DoT do 1268 damage 144 per tick so if u got doted by him u say bye bye and die hehe

Heres how to deal with it
# Feb 01 2001 at 5:44 PM Rating: Good
Easy way to deal with the DoT is to make sure you have SOW/JBoots effect in first slot, then cancel it just prior to engaging him. When you get hit by the DoT cast cancel magic on yourself to remove it.
RE: Heres how to deal with it
# May 29 2001 at 5:25 PM Rating: Default
i tried cancel magic 7 times while trying to sup heal myself, couldnt get the dot off, oom b4 the dot wore off. better to just have an extra cleric in the zone, not in the fight or near it, to come in and start rezzes

# Oct 10 2000 at 7:20 PM Rating: Default
On Drinal sunday the 7th the guild i am in killed him.We had around 50 of us in the zone all 50+...His Fire AE hurts like a ****,his fear is real bad,and he hits for low 500's.Basically your MR/FR need to be over 150 if you want to resist some of the fire and maybe the dragonroar...anyway we killed him and lost about 15 in the fight..he started to run when we got him low...and...a....paladin...killed...him../sigh!

anyway same loot tables as nag im pretty suire seeing he dropped nag loot and around 5 spells.

Uh, has anyone tried hailing him?
He's warmly to me..

I would have tried but he was surrounded by many mature wurms.

Please post your findings if you hail him and get info out of him.

He cons Warmly to me as a Bard Iksar (Veeshan is Not my God).

I went up and talked to him, he did not aggro. No response to Hails or Questions about Vox, Nagafen, or Veeshan. Couldn't think of other things to ask yet.

Talendor judges you amiably -- what would you like your tombstone to say?
he is amiably to me but atacked me ... so .. try if you want to .. i do not believe that he is a amiably ))
RE: Hailing?
# Feb 12 2001 at 7:01 PM Rating: Default
I Dont think something that is amiable will ever attack you without provocation. but there are a couple of options for explanations.

1. you got caught in his AOE thereby putting you on his hate list(not sure if you have to return attack or not).

2. you got within aggro range of something else like a wurm who is different faction but that will cause talendor to aggro you on you if you are on its hate list.
