been camping him to get warrior epic 1.0 done, finally found him, but no red scales dropped only 2 wurm scales. Is that normal?

It’s much much easier to get the scale by killing Echo of Nortlav in the Hole.

checked. checked. and checked again. harbinger always up. 6 hours, 20 hours, 1 day 4 hours, 1 day 12 hours, 1 day 22 hours. 2 days 3 hours. Harbinger always up. low on track so no one used it. Finally, 4 hours later ( 2 days 7 hours) Talendor was up. This leads me to the presumption that Talendor does not reset for server outages. I killed Talendor on 8/18 at 11:21 AM. and now, after a patch, 2 days 7+ hours after server up but 3 days 5 hours after last kill, on 8/21 at 428 pm, Talendor was up right in the normal 3 to 3-1/2 day timer.
Talendor paths around the zone. being non-kos and having found him up today, I followed his circuit. picked him up about 1000 units north of the port in. it went north west to the zone wall then north along the wall, east along the wall to nearly center then dropped at an 80 degree south easterly course to the center of the zone ( in the huge lava pool) and promptly made a u turn and followed its path in reverse. I did not have the time to follow it all the way back and killed it in the north area. its a huge path and at level 100 the agro range is still a few hundred feet

Came across him today when collecting pieces for Cleric 1.0 epic. Easily soloed by a 61 cleric with tank merc. Fear landed on me 2 or 3 times.

You killed so easily because of the defiant stuff. It totally unbalances the game.
I just killed Talendor on my way into Veeshan's peak a few days ago (Dec 2008). He was MUCH easier then I remember, I could have sworn that even as a 65 mage he was a huge threat. I distinctly remember zoning into Skyfire years ago getting summoned and killed really fast by this guy.
I am a level 76 mage now, my profile is 14000/15500 HP/Mana Spire Servant Pet focus etc. I didn't even need to cast a single spell, my pet soloed this guy without even needing a single heal. Not even close really. So... it almost seemed like something was wrong. I thought he was way way harder.
Anyways, he dropped TONS of stuff. He dropped like 5 items and literally like 12 spells. 4 of those spells were doubles (two copies). I don't remember old world raid targets dropping THAT many spells...
Anyways, like I said I was on my way into Veeshan's Peak for some soloing. Took out Silverwing once in there again... still no mage staff :(
EDIT: One more note... his aggro range is HUGE! Seems like at the point when you can barely see him on your screen he's already running to you.

Solo'd this guy yesterday for my epic piece. There are no level restrictions on him.
Does this guy still have a level restriction on him? I believe it was lvl 52 but not sure please let me know.

Fought with a 75 PAL, 65 PAL (me) and 57-ish PAL. He had a total of 30,600 HPs (surely that can't be right?) and a DPS of 80. I prolly coulda soloed him...

just raped solo him, 75 ranger, was actually eq windowed out on aggro, came back and i was at 40% hp, wiped him pretty simple. just use of 1 HoT potion and couple heals, slow didnt even proc. hope that helps.

well, after spending a few hours runing around the zone tracking ive come to the concluseion if you see this sob up and are able to kill it, go buy your self a lotto ticket cuz youll probbaly hit that too..... will try again tammrow, i need a few drops for my alts :(
haha looking for my bard 1.0 piece, was runnin around tracking and found him. Killed him rq just for the drops. Dropped 1 of 5 spells, 4 of another. 1 of those mystical pouches (I was happy to find) and some Red Dragon Scales, Orb of Tishan, and that Eye Patch.

There is a Volcano behind Veeshans Peek where the Dry Sapara is, Talendor spawns directly in the Volcano, but wanders right away. Unless someone agro's him he wanders the zone clockwise I believe. As for spawn time, its 3 days afters he's killed plus an additional random 0 to 12 hours.

Just killed him again today, he spawned three days and 4 hours after the last time... finally dropped the torn, burnt book... also dropped cloak, orb and three spells, and red dragon scales... duoed with a 70 druid, fairly easy

he spawned 3 days and 8 hours after last kill this time so that 3 day timer is correct i believe. he spawned near the burning woods zone line and he didnt drop the book this time.....maybe next time then

just killed him he was in the burning woods zone area when /ooc Talendor is up...me (lvl 70 pally) and 70 war easily duoed him...took about 2 mins but he didnt drop the book just a few 60 spells and a couple trash items and the red scales whitch the war was happy to get :-) hope this helps will be camping him again in 3 days....
Was mass pulling zone with my brothers 70 warrior maxxed AA's partially GoD/DoD raid geared to farm some clerics thier pearl thingies for thier epic. In one and a half hours, we got all 3 clerics all 9 shards they needed.
Anyways, while setting up another train, boom. This guy pops right in front of me. I never seen or heard of this mob, but it insta agro'ed. I was only at 40% HP's when I engaged this mob, or it engaged me anyways. I beat it with still 19% HP's, just went full offensive, looted corpse and continued with the train. Clerics were very happy with it. It dropped 3 scrolls of DI, 1 for all three clerics and 1 spirit of oak spell which I kept along with the rest of the loot. 1 red dragon scales, one dragon hero's bracer, 1 mystical puch, and 1 cloak of flames.

70 pal, buffed to 11.2k, 2050 at the time of kill (all hp + defense aa's thru PoP).
Maintanked Talendor recently, killed him with 4 in group - 70pal, 70rng, 70enc, 70clr ungodly overkill.
Used fearless disc 1st thing, but once it ran out, at 298 MR with GoD etc, i resisted Dragon fear w/o it(someone told me fearless not work on dragon fear anyhoo~ i play safe :P).
Hits ranged from 132-240 mostly, with one hit of 500, and one 520; landed a few doubles, triples on me.
He lasted all of 60 seconds or so, with 70 elem-geared RNG as main dps.
I would say duo this guy, he tried his AEs, but FR 232, MR 298 kept it all off of me.
Chanty said nothing she cast landed (she wasn't under belly hehe :P), but melee worked wonders.
Just pull him to a wall or ZL and pwne him.
Could easily have duo'd this with any healer or strong melee dps class.
Mebbe solo.. but woulda been a challenge, and probably taken 15-20min with paladin dps :P

did wuoshi xabibat ferr or however u spell it with not using more thne 50mana moast but i never saw him up well the fabled one but he kicked my *** in bout 3 sec just wish me luck or him the next time hes up on bayle
