51 Ranger here. I just zoned into TT zone for the first time today. Nobody else was in the zone. I checked track and saw Trakanasaurus Rex on track. Didn't know who he was but was hoping he was the one who dropped the trak tooth I had seen for sale many times. I tracked him down and ensnared him, I had on wolf form. He is VERY fast. He came at me about as fast snared as most mobs run when not snared. Luckily the first ensnare spell stuck and I never let it fall off. I used panic animal and was weilding a wurmslayer + green jade axe and FBSS (I know, hurts the stamina, but it's worth the damage it does till I get epics). Took almost all my mana to take him to almost dead. He resisted a TON, I'm guessing he was lvl 50, 1 level below me. Panic animal also wore off each time quickly, even when it stuck. When he was almost dead (and I was also almost dead), I ran a little too far and I lost aggro. Took me about 30 seconds to track him down again. He was almost full life all over again, and this only after 30 seconds! So don't lose aggro on him, he will regen FAST FAST FAST if you do. He does not regen if you don't lose aggro. I spent the next 20 minutes letting him chase me as I ran ahead a little bit and medded, stood up, ran ahead, medded, etc. Takes forever to do that, but I didn't want the people who had now entered the zone and were asking me about him to take him, so I kept aggro. Eventually I build my life and mana back full again (I had on an iksar regen CP which I had bought for 9k long ago), while keeping ensnare up. This time I didn't get too far from him and I slowly wore him down again till he died. He dropped the 10/20 tooth, and I was pretty happy about it to say the least. So YES, panic animal works on him as it does on every dino I have met on Kunark and Velious. Also, one other very important thing to note, which made it possible for me to solo him: You can hit him, and other large mobs from a HUGE distance away after hitting him with panic animal. You can even hit him from far enough away, that when panic animal breaks, he won't be in range to hit you back and you can get away without being hit. It took me a lot of practice to get the range down and I would take 250+ damage every time I screwed it up from his double attacks. So use the range to your advantage. It will say that "your target is too far away, get closer", in between your swings, but you will swing at him from a long ways away nonetheless. Try it out, it works on giants in Velious and any other big mobs that I've encountered. He is on the froglok hunter's cycle I was told by many people in the zone after I killed him, btw. I didn't think to get a screenshot of him, will do that next time and post it here. Looks like all the other "dinos", but bigger.
