Last night ToN took 4 lvl 60 wizs and used sunstrike on her not sure how many times but i think once and layed her out no problem
For those who wish to defend Gorenaire & can't understand why people would attack her, here is a short list.
Reasons to kill her:
(Bard) She drops white dragon scales, can you say Epic?
(Warrior) She drops that book thingie, I know it's for something important.
(Druid) For the sake of pete, she hates wolves, have some respect for your kind!
(Ranger) See the above line about those treehuggers? That goes double for you.
(Any) Loot, my god man, LOOT!
(Good aligned) Shes a Dragon & must be distroyed! For the sake of the Kingdom, CHARGE!

Gore hates illusions so dont even try doing it because he can agroe very far away. hope this helps

A torn, Frost Book is used to get the Book of Scale...Paladin Epic. I dont think it has any other use. And I would give anything to get it :)

Having just reached the 44th season, I proudly donned my Form of the Great Wolf as I set out to purchase my last spell in FV, through the ice cave I travelled, as I reached the exit, I cast camo, as I wanted to pass through unmolested, suddenly I lost control of myself, oh no, Gorenaire claws you for 560 points, and yet again, LOADING PLEASE WAIT....Moral of the story, you take your chances in wolf form in DL

She meleed me to my death before.
She nuked me, then meleed me to my death before.
I just got a resurrection, instead of running from Firiona Vie to Dreadlands all over again. No she does not eat people or anything. When you die, your corpse just stays on the ground... and rots if you dont come back after a while.

Just so everyone knows, 'wolf form' and other illusion-esque spells do not automatically make you KoS to her. All they do is lower you faction drastically. Me + Regular form = Gore regards me as an ally. Me + Wolf form = Gore is amiable to me. Although this won't help you if you're caught in AoE blast/fear. If you're not KoS and get feared it's no big deal, but if you get blasted you're done.

Was in DL the other day to help some friends. As soon I arrived went on Bear form illusion, and started to move outside KC. When I got to North wall of KC i saw Gorenaire was after me... and aggroed. Don't know but as soon I removed my Bear illusion he started to walk back again. Was very supriced that a dragon followed me all the way to kill a "Bear" since I thought he was only aggroing on Wolf illusions and only

I am in Afterlife a guild in Mith Marr. We have killed this dragon plenty of times. There is no reason why you shouldnt kill her. She hates wolfs.

I was leveling all day in dreadlands. Gore walked over me a few times! and never touched me. Next thing you know my whole group is in wolf form. 1 hour later we all finally got our exp rezzes and started hunting again.
I'm not sure about this but shouts were going everywhere that Gore hates wolfs.

God are you all a bunch of freaks? nothing in the game "eats you", you'll die and your corpse will stay in the same spot you died. And if you dont get it w/ in a certain amount of time it desolves, tough ****.

You have to kill her to retrieve your gear, or follow her around for a week after she eats you and hope for the best. Feeding her a lot of gnomes is rumored to make your equipment come out quicker, I haven't personally tested this out though.

I am Shenyesh from Firiona Vie, a young half elf bard for now, and a follower of Veeshan. I will raise up my ring of scale faction, as they are Veeshan followers, and so I must be wary of all bard quests.

You may have a change of heart as you need to kill dragons for your epic. 2 at least, usually 3. (Red Dragon Scale can be gotten without killing a dragon)

This is the true story of gore, i dont care if you dont believe me because i am fat irl and i will sit on you. Once upon of time, in a land far away, there was a camel named barbie, i mean gorenaire, she was a potatoe chip. She was walking down the street and out popped a big andy's dad and punched the popsicle in the face. Then he cast a spell on it called go get the grocerys!!! that turned it into a dragon. Gore turned into a big loaf of bread and sat on the couch. Then he went to dl and hunted joey's soul and got punched.

First time through this area trying to get to the Field of Bone to help a friend. Was a 39 Druid at the time. When I round a hill and run smack into this fellow. Well lets say I #%&@ a brick. I stopped dead in my tracks and stood there like a dork. When I could finally move and remember to breath. When realized I was not being attacked I was greatly releived. Then I did the stupid newbie thing and started to send it a message and well forgot to hit [Enter] first and the first letter I hit was the [A] key and well Loading please wait.....

at 39 u had a weapon on u to attack her with? if i hadnt given up my vel stone mace at around 29 in favor of a spirit tome, i would be dead many times over from hitting 'a' by accident. luckily, u cant hit someone with an old dusty book very hard.
I'm amazed that niether of you has yet reprogrammed your attack key so it is not the A key on your keyboard. I programmed the ` key (In the corner of the keyboard, by the 1 key) to be my attack key, and A does nothing. Much better than giving up your weapon. After all, what would you do once you got your epic?

I am a 42 druid and everytime I enter the DL's Gore has her fun with me. I have done nothing to her but she seems to love to kill me! Doed half elf druid have something to do with it? I have not levelled my druid now in 6 weeks :( because of her. However I have become an excellent porter...sigh....HELP anyone

It says that Gore drops the white dragon scale... But does it also drop the Book of Frost for the paladin FA quest? I'm told it drops off of Vox but since its rumored that this guy also drops Vox's loot.... I was wondering if I could actually level above 52 without worrying about the book piece

I am also looking into getting book off her, my info says she drops the book of frost only, not the burnt one. Faydedar In Timorous Deep is known to drop both halves.

Yes he does drop the frost book for paladin FA. This is how VI made 52+ ppl get paladin epic.

How large a raid group is needed to take down Gore? My guild is approaching the levels needed, and although there are better mobs for difficulty/loot, I think Gore is a good milepost for us. I assume that a few high level tanks are required, as well as significant buffing ahead of time. Anyone care to share their success stories?

My guild took out gorenaire and i gotta say she is hard. She is jsut about as hard as talendor. Basicly what u need is about 6 groups. You want to have camp sw of KC. There is a place where there are NO monsters, only problem is she roams in that area sometimes but it's better than the BW zone area. For people, you want everyone with full BD gear and lots of MR gear. Her cold aoe is not that powerful. You need a fair amount of 58+ tanks along with about 4 enchanters. YOu also want lots of druids, mages, and wizards. Gorenaire is VERY weak against fire based stuff. Gore's fear is proally the worst thing ever. Her fear is worse than wuoshi's. Have enchanters start sieving early on so she doesn't CH. At about 50% start nuking. About there she will start to CH. No problem. she will run oom and she will only CH so all tanks surround her. Druids mages and wizards nuke and she will go. Don;t cept to win the first time. It takes several tries. My guild now took gore while we were buffing with NO rogues. Gl with gore. IF u beat her you can get bard epics which help alot and paladin epic which rules deals alot more dmg.

AOE is 750, easy to resist but when it lands it puts a 70% slow on melee. And FYI when you %s IT, the server returns IT. SO i'm not so sure why people call it a she.

Illusions have little to do with whether or not she aggros you.
Most illusions drastically lower your faction, so if you're only apprehensive, add wolf form and she hates you. However, if you're an ally to her, add wolf form and she's still warmly. Illusions just lower faction a little, if your faction is low in the first place, you're dead. If it's high, she'll disregard you.
