No, it increases it, he is a corrupt guard. But beware that if you kill too many gnolls you may get KOS to corupt guards in Qeynos, I always con them, I am either an ally on they are foaming at the mouth wanting to kill me.

This guy conned white to my level 15 warrior. The only reason i beat him is because i already had a blackened longsword and dual weild and attack. Good experience and no prob on the faction hits.

Ebon Strongbear will not accept the Studded Coinpurse.

You have to turn in 3 perfect gnoll skins along with the Studded Coinpurse. You get the sword and the Coinpurse back (no ideal why you get it back). I did this quest at lvl 11 with some help from a high lvl Cleric. He conned red to me. The thing I don't get this is suppose to be your first magic weapon but you are suppose to do the armor quest first, and you need a burned out lightstone. I guess warriors are just destined for a hard life.

He is part of the Battlemasters armour quest important mission ...you kill him for the battlemasters blade given out by strongbear in the warrior arena area. he he he gonna go kill him cause I get Xp whoottt . he he he funny though , thought this was anewbie thing maybe not though who knows.
Strongbear says the guy stole his sisters coinpurse well Now that wasnt nice....

he is a corrupt guard, doubt it will lower faction with qeynos. Purse is part of a quest that noone knows info about yet, gonna do more reaserch on it and edit my post in a few days. night all
