In the non-instanced zone, Principal Indagator Gordianus (click for map image) spawns in the western room of the first floor: PH "a bored indagatrix materia".

Too long to spawn Gordianus

It took me 79 placeholder kills (a bored indagatrix materia) to get Principal Indagator Gordianus to spawn. That's grossly ridiculous.

edit: then he spawns twice in a row.

Just need to kill the PH or named. The PH is always an enchanter class. Radiant cure will remove mezz as well as Pure spirit, so be ready with that. Named is a warrior and can do spikey damage. My tank usually never drops below 50% (rarely even 80%) with last stand going because I have a real cleric, shaman and healer merc up, but this guy spiked and my warrior went to 30% so be ready spam fast heals.
