Not sure if this references a different version of "Ruins of Old Paineel", however during Classic and Kunark era of Rizlona TLP server, these ranged from level 41 to 47.
They drop all types of Loam Encrusted armor, including Loam Encrusted Robe.
Also, as noted by another user years ago, they can drop Smoldering Brand too.

how hard do these elementals in 'the hole' hit for?
I was getting hit for 70-140 in the earlier areas of zone, as we got deeper it was more like 110-170. Think the Rock Golems hit for even more, don't really recall.

We raided the hole yestorday and i got lucky on my roll and looted the Loam Encrushed Amice, This guy drops not bad stuff but the best are the shoes and the shoulder pads which i got lucky on the shoulder pads =P. You can just stay out side of cassel and pull them here or just go inside a bit till you get to the safe hall the stairs. just bring a enchanter along you need them =P.

Dropped Holy Dirt of Brell (no drop) no stats, looks like a white version of Cystallized sulfur.. anyone know what this is for? Also droped A speckled piece of Granite.. selld at merchants for 40pp, figured it was just for selling but it doesn't stack.

Dropped smoldering brand last night. He'll be wielding it if he's got it, which will make him look like your enchanter with an illusion up. Don't be confused, as he'll double-hit for 105 :-).
Most of the elementals have a rare chance to drop any large number of items. We got the earthen blade, the brand, and a bunch of elemental binders in about 3.5 hours of camp.

fighting near the zone, pulling the first 6 warriors and the odd crusader from down ther stairs, one night my mage friend and i got 2 loam shoulders, and 1 loam shoes. im wearing the shoes and shoulders, and he sold the other pair of shoulders for 4.5k on tmarr.
