# Feb 15 2004 at 9:33 PM Rating: Default
Last night, I and 8 other members of my guild cleared Veeshan's Peak. No clerics, no warriors, no enchanters among us.
1 Bard
2 Paladins
2 Druids
1 Mage
1 Ranger
1 Rogue
1 Necromancer

Phara dropped claw, shroud and crown.
A fun time was had by all.

Intro movie?

(quote) I believe you people have seen that intro 130 times! And heard 'The Great Crystalline Dragon' 130 times! (end quote)

Ok, I realize that all of the messages that I just finished reading under this topic are from back in 2000, but what intro are you all talking about? I've been playing EQ for 2 years, and I've never once seen or heard any intro that described any dragon, crystalline or otherwise, creating Norrath. Is this something that they used to have only in the first couple of years the game was out?

Veeshan created Norrath. Its under lore on the website. And veeshan is a crystalline dragon according to lore.

IN THE BEGINING!! (heh had to) when you started up EQ there was this short movie that kinda talked about the creation of norrath and such, but they took it out about the same time as SoV was released.

Dropped her Saturday night with a Warrior, Rogue, Cleric, Enchanter, and 2 Necromancers. Congratz to Corpuss from EMarr on his Robe of the Azure Sky.

Other loots including 6 spells ith Torpor being the best dropped, Claw of Phara Dar and Katana of Flowing Water.

Robe is pretty awesome for Kunark loots.

Take a look gents at how refined(another word for edited to fit someone's motives...)
http://www.gentles.milestonenet.co.uk/BibleHistory/BF2.pdf
which version did God give his/her stamp of approval to?
This is why religion is based on faith. There is hardly proof of any thing just a faith based believe. And as we are about to see/feel/hear/live we are going to war because a man(saddam) says God/Alla "told" him he was going to crush America. Any time you hear a person justify there actions based on there gods will "watch out"!! some one is going to die.

annoying AE stun. but tanks did well in keeping aggro. Only a few times did she hit the clerics. I believe the max hit I saw her for is about 650 or somewhere near there. keep your clerics away from her, because the DD is annoying also. Have your druids stay far away too and use chloroblast (not sure if that's the right healing spell, but it's long range). good luck. dropped shield of elders, robe of azure sky, and some kantana. :o)

I just wanted to say that I'm reading the bible for the first time in school and it is one of the worst books i've ever read. I mean i guess I can understand how it might have impressed people two thousand years ago when like one in fivethousand people could read and people still thought dragons were real. Really tho, now it makes me think of people following that book in the same little cult group as star trek fans. The only difference that I can tell is that a star trek fan has never started a war or been a jerk to me.

What are you in second grade?Im not really sure and im not an expert but i dont think the bible has anything to do with Eq. I also dont think the bible says anything about dragons. I could be wrong though i guess that one time in church when i wasnt paying attention the preacher could have told me all about dragons and monsters attacking baby Jesus. Im not really sure. I really dont like the way that you talk about the bible to. If you dont like it then dont read it and dont write stupid posts about it either because you have no idea about what you are talking about. Well i guess im done flamming now.

I was just wondering what dragons have to do with the bible in that it says nothing at all about Dragons anywhere in it. If you have such a problem reading it maybe you should not go into it deciding that you aren't going to like it, it is written in proper English, and if you need a different translation to understand it then say so instead of saying it's half cocked dribble that should never have been written. The bible IS the most historically accurate document in history, so don't beat it down because you didn't like the way it was written. Oh, and if you're Stuck on the first chapters of Genesis when God is creating the heavens and earth, then let me just ask you this. If the big bang created the universe, who created the big bang? There is no scientific evidence that supports either Evolution or the Big Bang Theory, both of them are just that Theories, not scientific fact.

have no idea how "The Bible" got into a discussion about a freaking dragon, but please....To all "The Christian cultist" out there, keep your Bible thumping to yourself...

The bible IS the most historically accurate document in history, LOL

Please...actually its the most historically INaccurate book not document in history...
about the only thing in the Bible at all that has any basis in fact is mearly the mention of a few historical names and cities...the rest of it (easily 85%) is a complete fairy tale...

There are litterly 1000s of pages/books/documents/scientest/noble prize winners/blatant tangible in your face facts that possitively prove without any doubt whatsoever "Evolution" over "Creation"....

So i assume you must believe that the earth and everything on it was "created" in a few days by some mythical being just 6000 years ago eh?

Maybe you think if you strap a bomb on yourself and walk into a crowded area of completely innocent men/women /children that you will go to "paradise" with 24 vestal virgins waiting for your martyed **** to...
for the last several 1000 years Religion has been and continues to be the leading cause of Death/Famine/civil unrest throughout the entire world, all because of approx 1/3 of the worlds 6+ Billion people "believe" in some ridiculous fairytale, the other 2/3rds suffer..
Religion is nothing but a fantasy and scapegoat by the small minded that cant handle reality.

OK, to each his own.....keep your lil fantasies to yourself though...

Actually, theres plenty of Scientific evidence that the Big Bang Theory & Evolution are accurate. However, when peoples opinions are questioned, they have the notorious ability to overlook evidence against them. And for your information, friction created the big bang by inducing atomic fusion. Chain reaction and you have a nuclear explosion the side of the current universe; which is defined as having matter in it. However, this has nothing to do with EQ.

On a side note: Perhaps you know this THEORY.
The Theory of gravity.

Gravity doesn't exist now either?

(I agree with the origional poster that the Bible is horribly inaccurate and belongs in the Fiction section of any book store. Since when do you read the Bible in school?)

Ach, its a collection of short stories that shouldnt be taken too seriously - I mean the Old Testament.

People try to read too much into it.

The New Testament is a load of rubbish.

An accurate translation of the Old Testament would be a nice thing to have, just to see how corrupted it has become through a couple of millenia of translations.
#REDACTED, Posted: Feb 09 2003 at 5:00 AM, Rating: Unrated, (Expand Post) You've obviously never heard of the Dead Sea Scrolls. They showed that the Bible has been preserved (not at all corrupted) through millenia of translations. Do a study on how accurately preserved the Bible is. Compare it to anything else from that time period. The Bible completey superceeds everything.

So you thought about saying something, then thought against it.. Then told the person both things, even the one that you decided not to say? Hmmm, doesnt that seem like your trying to make yourself look like a good christian, the one who is all nice and stuff by changing what you thought? Well if you were all that then I guess you wouldnt think it at all.

You could have just said "I will pray for you" cause that sums it up without indirectly telling them to rott in hell. Even though hell/satan is a immature way of explaining bad things in the world...

#REDACTED, Posted: Jun 14 2002 at 9:37 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I think the information regarding Veeshan's size is in terms of game space... Progamming, time and resources, in game mythology and religion etc. Seeing as Verant, the makers of the game, state that Veeshan would be impossible to put into the game (providing you keep within the framework of the mythology of the game itself, which I assume you might want to considering your role playing bent) then I'm willing to believe that Veeshan is too big to put into the game.
#REDACTED, Posted: Jun 23 2002 at 7:57 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I think the post you are criticizing is only trying to make one (1) of four (4) points. One of which is that: size can be deceiving. The example he uses is that Jesus (for those who believe) was a normal man, but possessed within him the power of God. I think the author of the post was not trying to extrapolate Veeshan into RL, he/she was simply citing a RL example.

Just a thought here...but I know you've all noticed it at some time when porting into Skyshrine. That huge black dragon that looks like it about to eat Norrath whole? I think that's why Veeshan isn't in the game, personally.
#REDACTED, Posted: Sep 08 2002 at 3:21 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) And BTW, Kerafyrm the Sleeper is more powerful than Veeshan. That is why Veeshan didn't want dragons to breed, or they'd pop out something like Kerafyrm (which I believe in dragon means "almighty son"). Makes me wonder why she gave them genders or even the ability to reproduce in the first place, since she's the mother of all wurms.
Why do I bother...
# Nov 20 2002 at 6:35 AM Rating: Default
/sigh
I don't know why I get myself into these conversations, but here goes:

/rant on
Kerafyrm is /not/ more powerful than Veeshan, lets do the list, hmmm?
1. Sleeper is entombed... by who? Mayong Mistmoore, none other. Sorry, no gimpy little thing that can be put down by some upstart smurf necro with his own cult, is EVER going to claim more powerful than Veeshan, a goddess and the creator of ALL dragons.

2. Kerafyrm vs. Veeshan, round 1, Veeshan swallows Kera whole and burps. Veeshan is friggin' HUGE. When she first planted her brood on Norrath (and a number of other planets from the sound of things) she struck the planet with her claws, leaving huge rends in the surface. That's what Cobalt Scar is, her claw mark. Hence it's called a scar.

3. Kerafyrm is IN the game, and can, as such (in theory mind you) be beaten. Veeshan doesn't even exist in game... Prolly too big, but the net result is that UberGuild_15356 WON'T be trouncing her one day... we can't say with 100% certainty the same thing about Kerafyrm.

/rant off

For the record, I don't really care one way or another, so flame away. Just wanted to share what I've learned in my time online.

Oh, and to stay topical, how is Phara'Dar's shade in Dragon Necropolis, and Phara'Dar himself sitting in Veeshan's Peak? Is the bugger dead or not? Clearly, he needs to make up his bloody mind.

Wasn't too hard the Stun was annoying but the AE wasnt bad. Hits for 500-600 according to our tanks. Didn't heal or regen. Fight took a couple of minutes, and our clerics didn't even run out of mana not one time =)

Buffs are the best for all tanks. But, you have LONG LONG LONG road ahead of you before you even make it here, I mean a LOOOONG road, wouldn't be expecting to fight him any time soon honestly. But either way GL if you ever make it hehe

As a Shaman you would be increasing the abilities of your party members and decreasing(hopefully) the abilities of your adversaries. You also would be helping out with healing and curing during the battle.

#Anonymous, Posted: Oct 22 2001 at 11:17 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) You've got to be kidding me? This is one of the hardest dragons Verant can create and it drops a Poor a$$ weapon like this? No stats/no procs/almost 5 wt/only 4 classes can use/ and barely below a 2 for dmg/dly ratio. PLUS it's secondary only and NO DROP? What a complete waste. You think this would be useful to someone's lvl that is UBER enough to kill Phara? Sounds like a 2 word mission to me "Loot & Destroy".

It procs Yaulp IV
Increase Attack (ATK) from 14 (L53) to 16 (L60)
Increase Armor Class (AC) by 15 (L53)
Increase Strength by 40 (L53)
Decrease Stamina Loss by 10 (L53)

Doesn't seem to such that much.

He is the most uber drgaon in the game and has ae kill everyone death annihilation spell of death! He wears pants OMG! He drops a big wooden stick with a foot on it and he wears clothes made out of pita bread and jelly. Somemore of his loot is the promal andy's house war sword and a stick of punching joey in the face.

#Anonymous, Posted: Oct 01 2001 at 8:13 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Ok monks, and anyone under lvl 50. We are all sick of hearing to grip about the fact that you dont have jack in the equipment line (the fact is that you have more then most of us). it is not our fault that monks are best with their fists and are not in the tank catagory (they are dmg dealers). i never hear rouges griping cause most of their high dmg Backstabing weps are so slow. The people of Norath would just wish you keeped your oppinois to yourselfs

#Anonymous, Posted: Aug 28 2001 at 7:08 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Watch out guys, when I was trying to find my way to the bard guild so I could put some practice points into flying kick (I just made level 8), this guy jumped me near the big clock. I tried to run, almost outran him and made to zone, but for some reason the guards jumped in and I died quickly. Anyone know if he is on the same faction as the guards
