Chief drops "eye of rokgus" 100% of the time... does ANYONE know what quest this is for? its LORE ITEM / NO DROP... someone asked earlier, but he got no reply...
Can a 56 ranger weilding epics and uber *** gear camp the idol of thorned and not die. I want to know wether i would die or not because that is one hell of a cr and personally i ain't having it
Are you really this ignorant? Unbelievable.. do you people get on here to brag or are you really that sad... I'm askin' because I'm a 40 Ranger not totally uber that will try to kill anything reasonable.. This thing is max level 38 and you are a 56 askin' this question??? Just plain stoopid...
The chief isnt the problem its the many other mobs in the surrounding area. As a 40 ranger you prob wouldnt make it thru the front door, let alone to the chief room.

Ok anyway I just want to say that after the group made there way to him he drop the idol twice, ruckus 3 times but no eccsence (go fig) was a nice day for exp and loot sep i wanted a essence of dol (
You can really tell easy who the newbs are and who the high lvl players are on these boards. A 55 enchanter wondering if he can solo camp the chief is not a silly question, DROGA IS A VERY HARD ZONE! Only mid levels type groups will get experience there, but the zone is so hard no one goes in, that's why it's always empty. The only people who are gonna survive here are 50+, and if ya can't feign death then you will always have a chance of dieing in here even if you know how to play your class. Just shut up if you don't speak from experience I had to complete a quest in here I did it by myself at level 49 solo but nearly died like five times and I couldn't get back out too many nukers that were GREEN kicking my ***. Luckily a 59 druid came in and was able to teleport my beaten *** outta there.
Ouch! I feel your pain. I goofed once and fell off the ledge in lguk where the undead wizzards and the guy who drops the embroidered black cape (enbalmer? I forgot rare mob's name). I didn't know the place and I had to FD. I ended up with less than 10% life and I just had to stay FD and do something else for a long time while my health slowly rose at the rate of 1 HP every 6 seconds :( The good news is that I did eventually escape. I moved slowly along by getting up and running towards what looked safe(er) and then FD again before I died. Finally a shadowknight ITU'd me.

Agreed, a high enough enchanter can solo any mid level dungeon just fine. I used to farm Mistmoore at lvl 53 until I got bored... every single camp, even the ballroom was np. What finally got me killed was boredom not the mobs. ;)

It was posted to an enchanter who wanted to camp the room and that dork is farming. And I have a 57 warrior and now a 46 chanter soon to be 47 and there is no way I would take my chanter to camp this room. You need to learn the game a little you peon before you start berating others. LOL some people.

I'm sorry but you curse the high level people for "farming"..well if nobody farmed then you would be paying 40k still for items that sell now for just a couple. Besides, when Kunark came out a LOT of people were already out of the level range to fight for exp in this zone. So chill out!
As os 7/20/01, I camped him for 13 gours straight.
Out of 13 spawns of the chief:
5 stickers 8 essences 0 idols
Also, we killed all the Bodyguards and rares (burynai, stitcher, etc), Got 6 circlets of shadow, 2 Burynai Legion Gi's, and a Mountain Death belt from the burynai. Damned hard, long, boring camp. Bring some friends, otherwise you'll start to go insane.

As a matter of fact I now have a level 40 druid and a level 40 warrior along with a couple lower levels. My next is a chanter. I have never farmed and have not twinked either of them. My warrior still walks around in half plate half crafted. My druid is pretty stacked but 5 levels of hill giants affords great items. Twinking makes a game almost to easy. I cant see the fun starting of a warrior with a Tbb, fungi tunic etc. How is that fun. Plus take into account the people who camp stuff in groups who actually get experience and having a group of 35s who want to camp the chief have to wait until a lvl 50 is done camping the entire room. Get a life man. Its a matter of common consideration.

Posted:Jul 07 2001 at 4:19 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I really don't think I would be playing this game anymore if it weren't for the twink/alt making factor. Lets face it, there really is no reason for a 60 rogue to solo unless he is twinking. And honestly, I can't spend the 8 hours it takes a day for groups/raids. But as for hard work, been thier/done that. Which you obviously haven't, your just jealous, and when you grow up to be a big boy, you will find out how much fun twinking is. Or you'll quit...
#Anonymous,
Posted:Jul 06 2001 at 11:00 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) These high level people are unbelievable. Are you really that pathetic that you wonder if you can camp something 10 or so lvls lower then you. Unless you have absolutely no clue how to play your character. Get a life and stop farming cause you want to twink a lower level. Kill some dragons. Achieve greatness through hard work not twinking
This is actually a great item for any level to have, and a hard one for any level to acquire. Good high level players and groups will arrive stealthfully, check the scene and make sure nobody is camping the spawn, and provided it is available (they wouldn't rush in and bust somebody's camp, they're in the high levels and most people arrive at those levels through learning how the game is played) they have every right to camp it as any other level. It's not usually for resale, usually it's for equipping. And ANY character that goes in here alone, solo, has the right to camp that spawn, because they are treading on very aggro, very populous, very dangerous ground, *regardless of level*.
In any case, as was mentioned, the place is full of hidden doors, trap doors, and plentiful mobs with few good pull spots. The level groups this place was designed for don't show up much.

Yes a 52 pally should be able to do it, but it's still dangerous. You need to make absolutely sure you get no runners, or you're toast. You owuld need to invis up to the Chief's platform (a long run) and clear that. Guaranteed you will need LOH in that battle.
I was there helping a monk friend this weekend. Idol dropped about 30 seconds after I arrived (he had been there an hour). Random loot is exactly that -- sometimes you win, sometimes you lose.
we bow before u oh mighty uber one (snicker) from what i gather its a very tough zone yes these nice items (yes u can get very lucky ive walked into a camp after 3 hrs no show and poped the rare drop twice in a row and common after that) heh this is a game its doesnt matter whos uber who aint great so u got a bigger weapon so hes gonna be more dead than you at the end of a raid is he? 9 times outta 10 the one thing that saves ur butt is a good grp who knows what they doing not ac not str or saves it ur grp think about that i was grped with a friend he much moreuber than me he lent me one of his lammy's so we did more equal damage and could share taunting thats good playing using common sense and brains.
spawn time is almost 20 minutes..took me 12 hours to get my idol..you can stay on legde he spawns and not worry about rest goblins below..thers about 4 spawns up there his place holder is in the farback corner..took me 12 hours to get my idol :)
There are three spawns in the ledge and there in no room anywhere to be uninvis. There are tightly packed goblins the whole way to him, about 3 rooms p the dungeon there is a spot where there is only one goblin that roams, and pet classes can get there pets out and start pulling singles easily all the way down, its not too far only about 8goblins b4 you get to the chief room. There are healers, warriors, wizards, shamans w/ slow, and shadownights in this dungeon. The HT is a @#^&* I get em for 350 a pop and the sk's are all over the place. It's very easy to pull singles if they are all green to you. The chief has a ph and shows up a little less then half the time, i've seen the bodyguard once and that was in the chiefs room. I would goto eqatlas for a map, their map is very good as i did not get lost the whole way down to teh chief room. Nothing sees through invis. The chief is a war and hits for 80+ most gobs hit for 75. The wierd thing about this dungeon is the mobs neer the zone are not that much lower in lvl then the mobs all the way down to the chief room.
None of the goblins in the temple see invis, so it's concievable that you could get to his room. Keeping the room spawn clear as a 52 chanter is fairly doable, once you get there. There are a couple of other goblins nearby (maddened burynai, soothsayer something-or-other) that sometimes come in during fights that you'll want to be aware of.
try by yourself, but keep AE stun and gate up... i presonally wouldn't solo due to all the SK's arround and you aggro a couple that HT for 335ish and you're toast if 3 come right after you, just personal exp of a 50 ench
