im an erudite magician and when i get bored waiting for the boat sometimes i go for swims. I always see those stupid sand sharks on right side, over bag. They con green to me and you know what? THEY ARE EASY TO KILL!! so stop conplaining and get a better char or something.

I have had two characters play in Erudin Bay and have killed many sharks - the shark, a young shark, and the diseased shark - but I have never even seen the sand sharks. I've swum out beyond the end of the pier and to the left - no sand sharks. Are they out along the coast to the right or something?

Update 15 Oct 2001 - To find them, jump into the water at the shuttle landing dock, swim straight across to the south wall, turn left and follow the wall around to the sharks. They are near the island you see as the boat from Qeynos approaches the dock. Grendin Maze "lives" on this island FWIW. Never seen more than two.

Update 13 Feb 2002 - Discovered - quite by accident - that opening your inventory under water gives you as clear a view as on land. Thusly discovered that there is indeed a 3rd sand shark. It lives underneath the path that the shuttle takes to the Qeynos boat about half way between the boat and the dock.

Update 2 Apr 2002 - A recent patch has "corrected" the ability to have a clear view under water with your inventory open; this no longer works. *sigh*

Not really that tough...

The level range is about right. What makes them harder is that until you have a good swimming skill you're fighting at a big disadvantage in the water, which is why the greenies can waste you. Be careful when coming up for air too- if you jump out onto land, you lose aggro and the shark will swim off.

Probally cause the same thing happened to me. I was swimming, I'm level 1 mind you, and i saw a shark, so i swam away. Then i see one in front of me, then i see 3 more...in total I got attacked by 5. They might hunt in packs...

They are much higher that 3-5 more like 7-8 and they bite hard. They spawn right over loot bags that contain Odus pearls needed for Erudin quests. located on right side of harbor
