Hi Does anyone know where one can there spawn point? Oh by the way the red cockatrice feathers are used by shamans to make Fine Steel Armor Dye. The beaks are for the following quest:
Holly Longtail's Replacement Parts; starting in the PoK.

Fine Antique Ring
LORE ITEM MAGIC ITEM NO DROP
Slot: FINGERS
AC: +3 HP: +30 Mana: +20
Weight: 0.1

You can get beaks off them which I can sell for 1pp 5gp (as an lizard who is amiable in Cabilis). Unfortunately they do not stack.

Recently a merchant has showed up near the pond, who, while being a lizard, is indifferent to everyone. Selling to her I get about 9gp, however often the convienience is worth the loss of gold since it can take 15min just to get to Cabilis.

Very rarely they will drop gems (so far topaz and pearls) worth over 3pp to an amiable vendor with base lizard PC charisma.

They will also drop Lime colored feathers with are lore and are +1 to CH worn on the head. Not sure what they are used for.

Finally they will drop normal feathers which are not worth that much...a few silver I think.

Are the beaks used for anything? They look like arrowheads and a friend of mine has heard rumors that you can make an arrow with the right components. One of these would be pretty sweet to fire at a mob. Any ideas on the recepie would be nice.

Hmm, what are you fighting at 41? Something that hits for 32 damage is not that much. I'm a 17 enchanter. Try running into a sabertooth tiger (yellow) and it hitting me for 38 points each. I only have 270 hp's. My health went down pretty fast. Don't complain about something hitting you for 32 damage, especially at 41.

I am a 17th lev Nec, and as much as I dont like it, I get smacked for 28-32 by these often.
I take it and dont complain.
They take my pet to 30-50% life quick, but by then they about dead.

i can take 32 damage and i'm a lvl 17 ranger. *L*

What he/she was trying to point out is that a low lvl mob, which at 41 shouldn't be able to even hit him, hits him for its max damage. Basically, as he/she said, rangers suck and are just set up to get the crap beat out of them even though they aren't really tanks.

Darkfenix, 17th level Enchanter of DF on Rodcet

P.S.- I have 270 hps, and I get hit max of 3 times per mob, just pull to city wall. Have the lvl 16 pet following you closely and run like hell to the wall. Pull with tashan, then dot when you get to pull point, and root, then dd the hell outta it. If you are a twinky, like me, pull yellows and make sure pet dies, you will find you get a ton of exp and not use much mana - god i love breeze =).
