This named crocodile is much tougher than the regulars on the beach of the desert. He is usually taken down within seconds of his spawn.

someone cast invis vs undead on themselves and placed the vest in the mummy. You can do this with any creature thats not KoS to you. I once saw someone following a fairy for awhile and asked what they were doing. They were filling it up with goodies for the newbies in the area. Sorta like a pinyata.

when noobz **** me off I start summoning spear of warding or modulating rods and hand them to orc pawns in FP or gnoll pups in Qeynos

Remember that you were a nooby once too. Patience is a virtue and it may prove worthwhile to teach them rather than seek revenge on them.
Yesterday I was in Oasis killing DW crocs and caimans, hanging around by the docks. Someone shouts "Lockjaw at docks!" I'm a level 22 pally, so I don't mind just thwacking LJ even if I don't get the kill... well, yesterday was different.
First of all, I walk up, behind him when others were already blasting/hacking at him, and he bites ME, who hadn't even attacked him. Some caster threw a spell; "Lockjaw blinks.", and LJ heads due south with his tail on fire.
I chase him (he bit me, I have the right and duty to thwack him :)), and got there in time to witness a strange series of events;
First, I see LJ fighting a crocodile (charmed) - Lockjaw wins.
Second, the enchanter charms Lockjaw! She gave him a hug and said he was the biggest pet she ever had. It was highly amusing.
Third - three seconds later, the charm breaks, and Lockjaw starts biting again. I attack, as do others around.
Fourth - while it's true I can do 80 points of damage if my two-handed practice sword double attacks, I didn't think I did enough damage to get the kill and EXP, which I did - got the vest.
The AC on the vest was 12, and the sta +5, but I have a banded vest that has 15 ac. My guild said it was worth 15-40 pp, but no more. I sold it for 25 to a halfling... guildmates said that halfling got a good deal...
My guess is that the enchanter(or druid?) "lost" her share of the credit when her charmed pet (the croc) lost the fight and her charm on him broke?

how is that lucky...you mean exp? ;)
Somethin really lucky is like when i killed him 3 times in a row..he spawned 3 times in about half an hour, and i got 2 vests/GWC

uh, ok, that made absolutely no sense... you cant attack another character that low even if your on a blue server, its 8 levels above or below y ou. and you can no longer cast fear on players anyways. but nice try, it was almost a good lie.

If you are a tank your chances of killing this thing is close to nothing considering how all the casters will KS you while you take the hits its so very annoying!!!

I was roaming around oasis killing sg's when i get this lockjaw guy on track. So i got up at this time i was duel weilding a lupine daggar and wurmslayer & he got wasted easy.

I thought he spawned about 1/hour or so.
i wouldn't worry about having to kill his placeholder. Nothing lives very long in Oasis. I have been on at 5:00 a.m. central time & there were about 18 people hunting there. That keeps the beach pretty much cleared of mobs.
He hit's hard!
I had a Lvl 23 ranger dual wielding Pgt & silvery war axe & he wasted me easy.

It's not a crock (which holds food) but a Crook, which is used to guide animals.

Running around Oasis, killing off crocs(had lev 45 cleric buffs), I saw a croc from far away, and nuked away without even conning. I guess this is the reason why I have almost a week on playing time per level...
Needless to say, that 'croc' I saw was Lockjaw, and I was mincemeat.

NO you cant kite one, or lockjaw. Your spells WILL be resisted. if you plan on hitting with melee as much as your spells hit for, then maybe. But no way you are gonna kill a SG or Lockjaw at lvl 12 dude.

Lockjaw conned yellow to me at 23rd and 24th lvls and even at 25th then blue at 26th lvl so he is always 25th lvl on my server (or atleast everytime i saw him)
