Ok, besides the standard caster strategy of root/nuke or even the necromancer fear kite - there is one very easy way to do away with those annoying harm touches. Get a cleric with a ranged weapon/spell/insta-click nuke to pull the SK in question. Then, they click that wonderful divine aura/barrier and SIT DOWN to med. After you see the horrible black bubble spell effect go off (thats the HT), your tank should have no problem grabbing aggro and viola! The HT is a non-issue.
A while back they added a damage shield to Divine Barrier (or made it better? I didn thave yet). It was around this time they made divine Aura repell any mobs. The moment it was cast all the mobs run away from you. Not in fear, but seeking out the next person on their agro list. They act like when another grabs their agro.
The eventually gave Divine barrier a HoT (heal over time, or modified it? and I think longer duration? cant remember) but they never changed Divine Aura back.
You will either have a cleric sucking up a Harm touch (if you dont cast in time) - or the mob will just walk away, and await another taget OR until the cleric's Divine Aura drops.
On an *UP* note, if you already have a cleric, they have gone to great extent to make the LULL PACIFY line MUCH better. I used to call that line of spells, my 'suicide' line. Now, A cleric has a seconday job (and Pally) in the LDoN expansion (and other indoor/underground locations) They act as indoor Harmony. The line works much much better. So much so, its almost a Mez. Few people use it another way, it can be cast on yourself (and other paty members) Believe it or not. This makes it so you can walk right by mobs. Or it used to. I guess agro is like 2 circles, if they touch, thats the moment of agro. I have cast on myself several times, it seems ot help. or used to.
Personally I dont use the second one, its cast time sucks. It seems really low, unless a mob (or 10) are punching your face. It too should be instant. *shrugs*. I think the second should be instant, or one (or both) clear agro list after cast. Maybe im asking a lot, but is a cleric's get out of jail free card. would be nice if both were instant, and both cleared agro, not just dropped you down the list untill it stops.
If NO others agro the mob, im not sure what it would do, they seem to run the 'pathing' like crazy... Its really fun in HHK....
I've seen him fight and he is very dangerous with Harm Touch.If your a caster like a Wiz or Mage ,this will be easy because the Wiz can root and nuke him.Mage sends pet in and nukes.WARNING:if your a melee type makesure your a high lvl. Other classes like SHM/DRU/ENC/BST/BRD/PLD or SHD, you will do fine because of some dots you may have and nukes or Self buffs
If you give something to a skeleton (anything) he says he puts it in his pile of junk and if you give it to the troll, he says something about graditude and thanks.
Didn't try to fight em. Everything was green to a 45 and indiff while in my water elemental form. The troll is named ??? Oberbord if that helps. BTW...what is Sythrax?
For sure, Sythrax is something buildable, but I dunno if it means a person (a golem or a body for some returning ghost, person, spirit) or a building like a temple or so, one thing that indicates that, are the plans that are found on the servants and the phrase they say when attacked I think "..Sythrax..will...be..done" or so, on the other site, if you attack Gharg and forces the skels to attack they say "..as Sythrax commands" maybe Syhtrax is some person "imprisoned" in this book *shrug* who knows?
these bad boys use HT well...when pulling the troll i got hit with one HT from troll and my druid took the 2 HTs from his guardians...there are also 4 other guardians to the back of the trolls room...would be major ugly if aggroed all of em...and ohh yes...they are green at 41...everything in cave is except the troll...and he had hps for days as well did the guardians
