They're definately aggressive. If you're anywhere near their line of sight, they'll normally attack. Also, you have to be very careful when you fight one. Make sure you pull it to an area where there are no other Scaled Wolves or players around -- they call for help. If another wanders around and you're trying to kill one, it stops to help its comrade. Scaled Wolf Pups aren't worth much in either experience or loot, but you can usually sell Scaled Wolf Hides for a pretty piece of silver or two.

Um... crud. I meant Scaled Wolf Pups there, obviously. Oops... *slaps forehead*

I was grouped with a Shammy friend of mine, near Kurns in the pit.I was pulling a Scalebone when he said he had a Hunter on him.I came back(with the Scalebone)and tried to help,he had to bolt for the ramp, and so did I soon after. We decided to stop and try and kill the Hunter(while the Scalebone was still on me)we were almost successful,I Harmtouched it for around 51 points of damage,or around there,we finally had to bolt again, but I was the only one that survived.I the imagine that these would be pretty nasty if trained to newb area,so make sure your going up to a pup,not a Hunter.

This bugger will shred your pet at 10-11. My necro just made 11 and these doggies are difficult to handle. I do not like to fight these at all since Jobaber needs so much help. They eat my HP at an alarming rate. Stealing 11 HP does not count when he happily bites you for 20.
Ouch...

Today I saw one of these fight with an Iksar Bandit. The Hunter won but had only about 50% of its' health left and conned yellow to my 8 Monk. Since I regularly beat yellow Scalebones (with weapons), I decided to try it (I also had a score to settle from when I was lvl 2 and it killed me in one hit because I was fighting a pup... no clue how it got out all the way to the grass area)... damn this one is tough. He regularly hits for about 10, is hard to hit, and bites for 20-25 every 5-6 attacks or so. He dropped me when he still had a tiny sliver of health left.
Nasty

These are nasty little buggers, highly aggro, social and hit hard for their lvl. Good ep for lvl 10-11, if you can catch them alone and drop them quick, else they wont be alone for long...
