i cant theme to kill these guys with a pet and full mana lvl 5 there are yellow to me!

wow the scorpions are ususally pretty easy for their level. my warrior (a bit twinked granted) could stomp them even when yellow, and with a shaman parter stabbing with me, we could take the heartstings at 8-10th. then again a little twinking goes a long way :P
what you could try is a fear and book after the beastie...provided fear sticks. or just wait till 8th and get your revenge :P

no, every scorpion i have fought (up to heartsting, ive never found a scourgetail) has never, ever poisoned me. ive never gotten a "you have been poisoned" message, nor have i ever gotten a "you have resisted the so-and-so poison spell". the heartstings do drop poison sacs (rare as hell) that sell for a couple gold (3 gold, 9 silver to my 55 cha warrior) but never poison. as for the scourgetail...cant tell you for sure
I've hunted large scorpions from lvl 6 (with a partner of course) and have had to pull, mainly because i lvled up shortly after we grouped, but have been poisoned and have resisted the poison spelly thingy that the scorpions have when i pulled to the ramps.
Maybe youve got a high poison resistance or something(if it exists! hehe) or magic res?? i really dont know, you could be lucky, but then again it does jack all coz regen!

Confirm: Warlord Zyzz (he's upstairs in one of the ruins in the Field of Bone) has a quest for 4 of the pincers. Now, the pincers themselves sell for around 8 silver, and you're not going to get 3 gold for the quest.
On the other hand, the experience for this quest is *noticeable*. At 4th level it was around 1/3rd a bubble. Factions are hard to argue with too.

i cant sell the giant pincers that i get from the giants..they are no drop and ive only played my warrior for a couple of weeks now so they may have been non-no drop a while ago and sellable. or im just trippin. hehe
Or they pincer you have might be off a large scorpion? because the large scorpions have the large pincers that are no drop and lore, they are used in a monk shackle quest, the first rite (correct me if im wrong)

Although Warlord Zyzz will give you exp/faction/cash for 4 pincers off these little fellas, you will be better off financially if you sell these, they go for almost 8 silver each, which is quite good if you are an untwinked newbie.
I have been soloing these from lvl 7 (yellows and below) and am now beginning 8th lvl Necro. I get 1/8th to 3/16 (approx) of a bubble from these that con yellow. I draw with a siphon strength, then pull to my pet who is parked on a hill. I attack with a weapon and hit it with the following, darkness, posion, disease, drain life (all 4th lvl spells as I can't afford the 8th yet) repeatedly till it dies. I usually have over 1/2 my life and no mana and my pet rarely takes damage. No loot to speak of but the exp is good and they don't aggro on you till you hit em.
