ok i just killed "a froglock yun shaman" near neg 1900 pos 1200. he dropped a BLACK BLACK BLACK BLACK shaman dust. get yourself a silvery mask (right click identify - around 300 pp on quellious) cast identify with it on your cursor it will show up as "Lore: Powder of Yun". the loc i gave is pretty much due south of where the lake meets the aquaduct.
Dropped him last night and got a LOC right on top of the corpse, neg 1704 pos 1110. Also had another 2 wander by as I FD'ed right over same location, used my Necro alt to MQ it, just to see if any more popped.
Doesn't appear to be a rare pop, saw all 3 in span of 10 minutes, and not sure if patch changed it but none of the Yuns were attacked by other mobs as stated by other posts.
Can also be found by going 3-4 ridges to the RIGHT if you were standing in FRONT of the giant aquaducts from the WATERS edge. If you can't find them after that and the LOC hire a tracker. Dropped the Black colored Shaman Powder on the first kill.
FYI there's alot of roamers where I dropped them so either pull to the nearby wall, use a higher lvl alt, bring some friends, or catch a few trips to your bind point.

Took my 38 shammy to Trak's to get this powder, got it on the first kill of the yun shammy.
When he took my pet out as i was pulling him to the wall...well i got worried.
All in all though after self healing a couple times ...i win.

Ok, here is to clearify. When looted it is called (shaman powder). It is Black in color, not called balck poder. Once you identify it, it is (powder of yun). Everyone just keeps getting cought up on Black for some reason.
With that said, could anyone please tell the location of the Auqaducts or referance to the eqatalas map? Thanks

I wandered the zone several times before I finally found the Yun Shaman. It was over near the aquaducts and it took 3 spawns before I was able to kill it. You see, each time it spawned every mob it came across attacked it. I ended up killing everything I could find to clear it's path. It still managed to find 2 mobs to tangle with before I could track him down and kill them. Made my 46 shaman friend's day.

this quest is stupid! takes way to long to do...and a lvl 39 could not do it alone...o ya and the shammy powder..ya GHEY! hate it! dont do this quest just use the first one till 54 and sue canni 3. sorry just venting after a bad day with this quest.

To start with it's BS in my opinion to give a level 39 Character a quest that could take him so long to do that he may as well skip it and just get KEI and wait until 54 for the Can III spell. Enough of that now. I'm going to do it anyway just to use in a pinch when I need to. Also considering I need some reports and a book from CoM, I figured I might as well go ahead and get the Strange Ochre Clay and I have begun fighting in KC anyhow so I will get the chips too. Hopefully going to pick up the Shaman powder this weekend and see what else I can get then. As posted at http://www.eqshaman.com/guides/cann2.html I think you will find all but the location information of what you need here. It seems to be a fairly good site for Shamans considering he is one and has his epic also. Good luck to all.

Is this powder different than the one from Shamans in FV. They also drop the powder known as Nok Shaman powder for the Ill Iksar enc spell. This is the only reference i see on the website so was wondering if its the same thing. If it is I would think FV would be an easier time than trying to get it in TT as they seem to be plentiful and gang up on you in the FV zone.

I killed a froglok tsu shaman today in trakanon and got shaman powder,
lore item, no drop. But it was white.
Everyone keeps saying black powder, but even in the picture shown here it
is white. Is the picture wrong? Can I use this powder? Or should i keep hunting
for the yun?
I have the time because i cant seem to get the bone chips in KC anyway, talk
about train central!! Even if someone did kill the warlord I don't know if i could
get in and loot, half of these guys see invis. To bad i cant stack IVU and invis.
BTW any loc on the warlord?

39 Shammy and I (39 Chanter) formed a group in KC today and sent an ooc to ask if the Warlord spawns, can we please loot the bones. One yellow bubble of XP later he's spawned (room 10 in eqatlas may BTW) and the group let us loot. Shammy died just after looting, Chanter goes air elemental, invis and drags corpse now containing bones back to zone for 96% rez. Over all more XP then when entering the zone, and the loot - don't be afraid to get killed after you've looted the corpse, rezzes are plentiful in that zone (just so long as you make it to the drop and get the bones) Epestle Pureheart 39 Chanter - MT server.

Got mine last night, saw 2 Yun Shamans around the Ancient City entrance as per previous posts. Myself (45 Shaman) and a 60 Shaman took them out no problem at all rooting & nuking, soloing one at 45 with a pet should be easy enough. Powder drops every time and is called Shaman Powder, black in colour. The mob hit for 99 (when he got close enough).
Watch out for the Froglok Forager though, white con at 45, couldn't take him solo.
As a tip, if you're there anyway, it's also worthwhile following the river and hunting Froglok Hunters and Foragers, they respectively drop medallions which are used in the key for Sebilis quest.

i found froglok yun shaman at neg 528 and pos 194 close to the large wall .
he drop shaman powder and froglok blood.
can someone tell me if i need shaman powder or black powder for the can2 spell ??

I was told that these shaman drop the shaman powder needed for the cannibalize II quest. Was told that the powder must be black only. Hope this helps any other shamans out there doing this quest. I have yet to complete the cann II quest but am working on it. Abomma 43rd shaman

I have seen them run near the wall that stretches out to water. They run fast and you have to listen for the froglok normal sounds. But the best bet is to hire a tracker for the Job.
