They spawn late at night around the brigand camp next to the pillar east of Calibis at the end of the path. Clear out mosquitoes, they seem to spawn more around 4am, hard area for lvl 11 mobs lots of roamers in the 20's that are KoS.

8-18-08 Cleared the Iksar camp 2x's. Raiders started to spawn after 2nd clearing. 5 of them Raiders spawned in less than 10 mins and we got (3) tomes, and 'A Lens of Sorts' dropped as well. This was 10-11pm game time.

I am in the process of doing the Cuasader's Test of Pain quest. I read several posts on how to make these guys spawn. All are pretty common tho the effect of killing everything in the area of the bandit camp. This is a great process but my computer lags alot in zones (especially Kunark) where there are alot of trees. and when I bring the clip plane down I can't see far enough out and may miss these guys running by in front of my face. So I went with a previous post where he posted a spawn point for raiders. I got to sit in one spot and got a decent rate of raiders to spawn. The loc is pos 2450, pos 1200 or there abouts. What I did was killed as much as I could around the camp and headed west to this spot killing evverything headed east towards me, one happened to be a raider. When I got to the spawn I set up camp. The first two spawns were a mosquito and a Leech. But to make up for it two raiders spawn simultaniously the next two spawns. I sat there several hours getting a good rate of Raiders mixed in with man eating shrubs, marsh leechs, mosquitos, and a couple of others. I hope this helps those looking for the pages. Spawn time is only a couple of minutes so keep your eyes open.

Note: the following Mobs spawned from the raider spawn so making sure none are living around the camp may increase your chance of seeing a Raider.

A Iksar Footpad
A Man Eating Shrub
A Giant Marsh Leech
A Giant Mosquito
A Scalebone Skeliton
A Froglok Bounder
A Froglok Fisher

I camped this for over 4 hours and saw only one Raider. I killed everything in sight around the Ikky Bandit Camp, and still, nothing. Am I in the right spot? I can't find anything, and it's really starting to tick me off! Any help would be great, thanx!

I've got to agree with you. I did just that. Camped my lowly 29 SK right at the camp and logged my 57 Ranger who proceeded to run around and aggro every mob within sight, including bandits. Pulled the train around a bit and then stopped in camp and proceeded to beat them down. I was getting probably around 6 - 8 per EQ night. FYI I believe its page 8 that's not lore so you gotta watch what you are picking up. Good Luck to all doing this quest. And as for somw added info, my SK was getting pretty good exp here at the camp, some mobs still con blue.
Also, I found out first hand, if you destroy your newbie weapon, have a friend make an iksar sk and turn in the note, then collect the heads for the test of the pawn and have him turn in his newb weapon to the guy and then you give the combined bag of heads. Voila! multiquest to get the Knave's. Way better than the Pennance quest.

ok ive read all the posts and only one person got it right KILL EVERYTHING IN SIGHT the raiders only spawn between 9pm and 9am anything outside that is very rare. and i have been getting like 20 raiders an eqnight who ever said 2 a day your not killing fast enough there is no ph for them they are a random spawn and spawn in places where just about any mob spawns the reason you guys arent getting anywhere is all of you tried this quest at a low level so you cant kill quick enough heres a tip since you cant finish greenmist till round 50 anyways dont bother with it till then when your 50 you can run around and taunt all day and kill the entire area all at once bam suddenly 15 raiders spawn simple as that dont waste your time untill you can kill quickly
Do these Ideas Not Work For You?
# Dec 03 2003 at 10:49 PM Rating: Decent
I tried most of the previous posts and their ideas, but none of them seemed to work. So I decided to try it my own way. First make sure to start this in the early eq morning. Clear the Iksar camp, then clear all the frogloks you can around it. Between 4-7 am, I noticed raider after raider, coming from the path on the left side of the zone line that ends before the camp.
The binders seem to have placeholders. Tons and Tuks, etc.. come to mind. A binder/fisherman etc. will spawn in the place of the raiders.
I was able to get 4 pages from my first try, so if the other posts arnt working for you either, this idea might be worth a try

Spent the day doing the 2nd Khukri camp and wanted to share what I've learned.

Most mobs (mosquitos, plants, sperms, etc...) will kill these guys unless you either get to the Raider first OR have EVERYTHING cleared (Iksar Bandits not included). I suggest bringing a few friends to make sure the entire area is cleared, and of course, the tracker (essential). Just sitting and watching track window won't pay off when you see Froklok Raider on track, and then 5 seconds later, it's gone because some bug killed it. I learned this the hard way.

Raiders DO spawn during the day, but quite rarely. Night was when I saw most 90% of them.

Got all the pages but #2 pretty quickly, and was quite excited that things were going so well.
Didn't find #2 for a few more hours. Spirits dampened.

Then, the long, long, LONG wait for the Binder. For some reason, I never saw this. Until 9 hours after I first arrived in SoNH, 2 consecutive Raiders dropped it. Odd.

Note: pages #1-7 and #9 are all Lore, but not No Drop. #10 you get from Lord Gikzic and is No Drop. I brought along a Silvery Mask to "Identify" the pages, but there was no real need. If you can loot it, you need it. If it's not LORE, it's #8.

The Binder, though...this thing is NO DROP, which I was unaware of until I saw it. This is important if you are MQing this quest.

The Binder IS a container of course, so have an open slot ready to loot.

In case any of you Iksar ShadowKnights are wondering where to catch these guys, ill tell you.

From Cabilis, go straight until you get to the end of the concrete, then head straight left, swim a little. Follow the path to a giant column near an Iksar Brigand camp. This place is lethal to anyone below lvl 16. Just stay around the column and youll be more or less "safe". The Froggie Raiders pop around here...
Hmm floglegs

Its Funny how everyone posts that they know what the PH is. Do you not read what everyone else is posting? So far people have said the PH is the giant Mosquito’s, the other frogloks and the iksar bandits. Does anyone know for sure what the PH is ?
RE: PH ?
# Mar 31 2002 at 1:11 PM Rating: Default
It is my belief that the PH is really the Iksar at the camp i have read and i have seen the iksar killed and the raiders pop. never saw killing maquitos or other frogs to pop raiders. besides if u kill the frogs the more powerfull ones pop not the raiders the tuk and vis shaman and warrior types. also if u kill the skellies thinking they are PH hehe u gota long and dangerous fight. they are on a cycle like another poster said. and they only make other slellies pop. So i say just try the iksar camp brigands and see what u get. i just tried for about and hour and didnt get a raider at all but last night i had 4 raiders pop after clearing the camp so who knows what their screwy spawn cycle is . to each their own.
the easy way.

I havea 24human wiz this was fun. I droped him in the swamp and ran to the camp. parked my mystical butt right in the camp till i was FM. No they didnt argo on me when i sat. i waited for a bit to see if a raider would walk by but they didnt so i decided to fry up some Iksar Kabobs and some Iksar crunchies at that level if u use root they sty for a while long enough to root the whole camp once rooted (had to take a few hits to get tem all in the same area) i sat back and used every AoEDoT i hadand a select few DDs wiped out the camp in about 8 casts well that left my mana a little on the gone side so i med, right. wrong these little bugger start comming out of the wood work i say they cuz about 4 of them came on the scene almost emdiatly after the last iksar fell i meded up to 2 bubs and chased after the first 2 they were closest nailed them and got the 2 pages went after the others and got one of them had 3 pages i meded up to about 50 % mana then heard the fogy walking sound again so i poke my head out of my book and there were 3 more so i got them with the same root ke tach i used on the iksar's got 3 more pages well thats 6. by this time the iksar camp had just about fully poped again so i had to take them out again and did so. got resisted alot on this atempt and almost got dead no fun. after meding up again here they came (they being frogies) i got the final 4 pages the same way i took out the camp. now i have ten pages hmm wheres that binder. I waited around a bit and killed the camp about 2 more times killing the froges in between ( that took about an hour and a half i guess wasnt really keeping track of time. none of the frogs had the darn book. So now i am mifed and getting ready to leave whe here comes one mor frog so i toast him and DING theres the binder. WAIT!!!!!!!! hehe stupid me i looted it then relised something THE DARN THIS IS NODROP now how am i going to get this to my SK? DOH!!! i moved my sk to the camp and camped him and bought the wiz back on i waited a little longer hoping the book would pop again. i got lucky i guess it was aboutthe5 or th kill afterward the book droped again this time i moved all pages to my backpacks and droped them loged the wiz and came back with the SK got the pages and the looted the book no the Sk didnt get any exp for it but hey who knows how long it would have tken the sk to wipe ot the iksar camp by useing the wiz i cut time down considerably by this time im guessing again another 2 hours maybe less had gone by real time so for almost 4 hours and i got all the pages and 2 books and that doesnt count the duplicate pages i got either u'll know they ae duplicates cuz of the lore item message. thats my way but i know some of u may not like to use ur high higher levs to equip ur lowbies but i dont see anything wrong with it U still did the work no matter what character did it. Sorry if this is too long but short hand isnt my specialty

I have learned that if you kill the Iksars in the camp the raiders will appear. If you want to kill all the little froggies, go for it. The I have not found any proof that the giant mosquitos are place holders. After clearing the camp. I had 10 raiders show up in about 10 min or so. Try clearing the camp to get the raiders.

RE: raider quest
# Feb 12 2002 at 10:01 AM Rating: Default
You don't expect a bunch of Froggie Raiders to walk up to you at once and hand you all the pages I hope !

At lvl 9 I came here, plunked my pet by the pillar next to the brigand camp, and it took me 3 hunts of ~4 hours each to get all the pages. Is that a long time? Perhaps. But its something to do ... by the time I had the complete set I was lvl 13 and had a very good handle on pet control and high-lvl aggro mob avoidance when soloing.

If there are any higher level Iksar SKs in the zone you can almost always enlist their aid. The wandering mobs that come by the pillar are good for up to level 30ish so a bigger SK will be happy to oversee and help with your search for the raiders. On my second hunt, one such SK helped me and ended up making a good in-game friend (by lvl 30 I caught up to him and we've been hunting together ever since).

I used the resulting khukri (yeah I'm untwinked - like all my chars) until around lvl 25 when I received a 13/31 sword by a 40ish SK that was impressed that I was using that khukri (or sympathized??).
Weird items dropped!

This is off the subject of the khukri and all that..... and ppl have mentioned it before but i thought id mention it again cuz im curious 8) ....
