Thanks Quietus! For your post ' found em ' .

Follow the brown colored line on the map (which is a path) that goes south from Cabilis to the island that the path crosses about half way through the map.

Is there really any point?

To doing the Iksar Warrior Quests? I mean after all, It's just a pike. Or are there any benifits to having the pike? Other than a piece of useless armor..

The point is this quest finally results in a 1h piercer that has 14/24, some stats, and most importantly procs a 100dmg/interrupt stun. It is a very very nice weapon for aggro keeping and all Iksar warriors should get it. At the moment the warrior quests are the only cabilis quest to not let all races use the final reward but I'm hoping that changes soon because a 24 delay weapon that procs a 100damage stun would be such a nice change from idiot warriors weilding a stupid windblade and saying it's my fault because I nuke so much when the mobs hit me...

Liveye (lvl 65 Wizard)

PS- With copper hammer of striking in secondary and this in primary any warrior with decent dex can be great.

Well, after the first upgrade, I do 19 dmg with my iks warrior. I do the same with my Ogre warrior. Let me give you the rundown.

Mesostrong, level 6
Str: 80
Nontwinked
Piercing: 32
DMG (weap): 9
Damage (combat): 19

Bagobbuk, level 8
Str: 150
Nontwinked
2HS: ::shrug::
DMG (weap): 12
Damage (combat): 19

I think that's pretty good, don't you?
Pikes, easy.

There is a path it is in the outskirts of cab in swamp, take that path all the way to the end, untill u find a big pillar. U will also find a large camp with about 10 Iksar brigands. If u hunt everything here, u will spawn bounders, escaped, raiders, tuk, ton, vis, shin, and fisher froggies here all the time. Bounders are not vary common, but i kill enough of them in a few hours, and like today, let a javilen rot. But i will keep them and give to lucky liz war, now that i know what troubles they are.

The one who posted the EQatlas-link is absolutely right about the loc (-1000,2500), I went to that island, killed everything there, and POOF... 2bounders with the javelins :)

Frogluk Bounders and Stuff
# Jul 12 2001 at 4:10 PM Rating: Default
Okay. I'm a Level 11 and here's my problem. I went to the third island south of Cabilis, where people say the Bounders spawn. I ran into one, though he didn't have the Javelin he was BTM. But the problem is this. I was told I'd have to clear everything off the island to get them to spawn. So far all the creatures YTM or RTM with the occasional White. Am I in the wrong spot? Or should I just level up some more? And about the petrified redwood. I got mine off of a level 38 Shaman who just happened to forage it at the time. It looks like two pieces of bark from a tree so be careful not to discard it. Any help is good thanks.

In my opinion you should just level more. You can do this in two different ways. On the second Island they spawn without the other high lvl Froggies around, but they take a while to spawn, and then don't drop the Javelin often - I am 0 for 7 on this island as far as Javelin drops are concerned. Or you can go to 3rd Island - kill everything and they seem to drop Javelin more frequently here. Although I have not tried just killing everything on 2nd Island to see if that helps with javelin drops. Good Luck

The information here is dead on. Fishers do seem to be place holders for bounders. When hunting dont confine your searching to the island, pay close attention to the water. Many creatures spawn in the water and bounders are no exception. Also the information regarding higher level frogloks being here is correct as well. I was attacked by two froglok tuk shamans here, they conned yellow to me at 12 and they killed me in short order. I attacked and killed a blue tuk warrior but even that was a close one, took me down to about 1 bubble of health. Don't be fooled by the fact that the bounders dont appear to be carrying the javelin. I killed one that was fighting with rapier but when I looted him he had the javelin as well. In about and hour to hour and a half I spotted and killed three bounders and got two javelins. Based on what others have posted I may have gotten lucky. Whatever the drop rate of the javelins this certainly seems to be the place to hunt them. Until I went to this island I had never even seen a bounder despite a considerable amount of searching. The island coordinates listed above, -1000 +2500 are correct as well. Happy hunting and good luck. Now to get the petrified redwood :(

Bounder's Javelins

I have killed about fifteen of these froggies so far and this is what i know... The above post entitled "found em" which places them on an island with a road and a broken pillar is quite accurate... They spawn there in larger numbers than anywhere else I have seen... However, the only one on which I actually found a 'bounder javelin' was farther to the south, on the next bit of the same road (you have to swim again, or walk all the way along the mainland)... This place is a bit more dangerous with Iksar brigands, marauders and Froglok Tuk warriors appearing commonly... btw... i only have one javelin of fifteen kills... this is getting frustrating...

ok I have found a much better spot than where I first said to find the bounders. You go straight out to the end of the row of pillars out by the gate. From there swim straight out south, you'll get to an island keep going south and swim out again to another island. If you are on the right island you should see froglok bounders and fishers here, there is also a fallen pillar at the end of this island. But I beleive the fishers are placeholders for the bounders so just keep killing them.

From looking at a map in EQAtlas of the Swamp of No Hope (http://eqatlas.com/kunark/swampofnohopemap.html) and following the directions given in the "found em" post the island appears to be located at neg 1000 pos 2500.

i found and killed about 15 over the course of a week hunting them for my Footman's pike. About four were armed with various rusties, none with bounder javelins. Luckily i lost my militia pike and can now forget about these long, long upgrade quests for the duration of my character.

Bounder's javelin

They spawn ofetn I have killed overa hundred but I have yet to see one carrying a weapon...
Where?
# Jul 01 2000 at 11:55 AM Rating: Decent
I think they hang out at the land mass that the first iksar bandits' camp is, off to the left of Cabilis Gate (as you leave it), but they seem to spawn rarely
Where?
# Jun 05 2000 at 1:27 PM Rating: Decent
These are very hard to find in the swamp. Anyone know where they predominantly "hang out"?
