The No Drop spears are also used for the Iksar Beastlord Armor of the Patriarch (newbie armor) quest.

Red headbands are the start of the quest to get FV Ringmail. You turn in either two or four to the guild leader in the rangers hut in FV. Then he gives you the next part, collecting four battlemaster wristbands for a piece of the dark-green ringmail. Not better AC than banded, but lighter and with other bonus factors.

The javelins dropped from these are now needed for the 4th beastlord quest given by Vuzx in the guild. You need 2 plus sarnak broodling fangs.

I once got a red headband off a goblin watcher. It is no drop, +1dex, -10cha

just wanted to tell everyone that the NO drop spear is for a warrior pike quest.

These guys spawn close to the newbie area (sometimes in the Outrider 4 spawn) and are excellent experience for a group of level 5's. They drop a lore item, no drop spear, piercing weapon. Must be for a quest?

its for a warrior only quest, save the corpses for all those needy warriors :)
