Has always conned white to a lvl 94, and during the fight in the quest, he summons and is immune to stuns. What seems to be the best strategy to kill him is to clear the pit near him of all spiders and pull him down to there, which is not an uneasy task.

We just walked up to him and hailed him and killed him. Didn't have to clear out spiders or a pit.
