These guys are on the same faction as the rest of the bloody island, so watch out if killing them. They also hit for mid-30's, but weren't ridiculously tough for a 19 ranger solo.

Once you hit level 22 and get Panic Animal, you can solo any animal (within reason for your level) with ease. Just snare it, cast panic animal and hack away. Throw a Flame Lick in to drop its AC a few points and do some extra damage. Recast Panic Animal periodically. You'll quickly learn how to time it so the animal never hits you. You can also scare away any adds by NOT snaring the adds before you panic them.
