I think i'm insane, 15hours camping this ugly barbarion and I had no sleep. At least after the third drop if Hadden I got the earring. BTW Hadden spawns to the right of the Qeynos Hills zoneline on the lake. He always pops in front of the fire outside of Axe Broadsmith's shack. Good Luck!

I might camp this guy and i always got fd ready and up and mend up for big fights like this. well, wish me luck!

camped this guy for 4 hours and he poped dropped the earring and sold it and bought eboots then later that day i port somone and they give me eboots LOL ok well anyway hers some info on him
He is around lvl 30-35 i guess since he con lt blue to my 41 druid and he dont hit very hard has around 800 hps and is around 6 hour spawn and doesnt drop the earring that much i could think of alot better things to camp after reading some stuff on here and figuring out that he doesnt drop the earring everytime well good luck people hope u had much luck as i did
oh and he is located if u leave surefall glade take a right and follow the wall u will see a big steam of water follow the steam till you see a hut with a guy named axe somthing he spawns right on that fire

For those still asking where this guy can be found, let me post the information. I know it was posted before, otherwise I doubt I would have ever found him, but to save you the time to search for it...
As you zone into QH from Surefall, turn right and head into the hills. You will come upon a lake nestled in a little valley. Hadden spawns by this lake on the small peninsula with the shack and the fire. The LOC is approx +3800, +1000. If you sit on the tip of the peninsula and face the shack he will eventually spawn right in front of you, next to the fire.
Haddens spawn rate is somewhere between 5 and 6 hours. Here is a listing of spawn times between 5 consectutive kills I made on Hadden that I pulled from my log:
15:54
21:21 (5:27 between spawns)
02:54 (5:33)
08:37 (5:43)
14:07 (5:30)
Two Blizzard Blasts (shammy DD for 418 max at level 46) have always dropped him. Hadden has no magic, and the most he ever hit me for was 54pts. On a side note... If you attack him there on the peninsula, his friends Axe and Rephus will join in the fray. Axe will melee you, but Rephus is a chanter with a pet. In my experience, I have found that you can pull Hadden to the opposite shore using a spell (or maybe an arrow) and the others will not join in the battle.
I have killed Hadden so far 9 times with no drops. So unless you are one of the lucky few that happens to walk by and, "Oh wow, there's Hadden and no one is camping him!" And 30 seconds later, "Oh cool, he dropped the fishbone earring!" Expect a long drawn out camp. And yes, if I had 3k to spare I would buy this as opposed to camp it. Unfortunately my addiction to Tradeskills, especially *cough* Alchemy *cough* does not leave me with large stockpiles of platinum.
As a final note, please respect the camp of anyone there before you. Most likely they have been waiting a LONG time for this guy to spawn, and 9 times out of 10 they are probably there trying to procure the earring for their own personal use, not for farming (then again, maybe I am just naive). Granted, Verant rules state that first strike his all rights, but common courtesy... But then you are going to do whatever your own conscience dictates regardless.
Safe paths and great fortunes to you all, now back to camp <sighs>

Pretty simple really...his spawn time is so long you can harm touch him everytime he pops. I really didn't need to HT him, but the whole time i was there it was raining druids and wizards, so i felt i needed to secure the kill...plus its so fun seeing something writhe in the grip of agony.
Just sit down at the tip of the island so the other schmuck in the house doesn't aggro and hadden will aggro you. He should be auto targeted, just HT and finish him or let the guy trying to KS you finish him.
Still no earring after camping him a couple days tho...won't need it in a couple levels since i'll be gettin breath of the dead, but my wizard sure could use it after that.
Anyway, this camp is the PITS. a long grueling camp...i just want the earring so i'll never have to see it again. People who farm this are nuts.

Last night I camped right at Haddens spawn point with the hope I would be the first to log on after todays patch. I watched my server come on-line and rapidly logged on. Unfortunatly someone else had the same idea and beat me to the camp. As I materialized the other PC had just finished laying Hadden to rest. Luckily for me he abandoned the camp - by the way, he did'nt drop the earring for the guy. I decided this would be my best oppertunity to the earring so there I sat. Five hours and thirty eight minutes after Hadden had taken his dirt nap he spawned. Yes indeed he dropped the treasured item. Never again will I have to come up for air or beg an EB from somebody.

I haven't even been sitting at this camp 10 minutes, he poped AND I got the fishbone earring. Happy day... I have found that when you camp something on a sunday night, you will usually get it, best timing.

i was ready for 36h of camp and risk of KSz, but Hadden poped 10mn later , and dropde the earring.

Dude, you make me sick of your whining. Everyone farms for stuff on EQ. Just a fact of EQ life, if you cant deal with it, might was well quit EQ for good. Personally I don't mind someone farming hadden as they are putting THEIR time and EFFORT into a camp. I've heard stories of people waiting in line to get a place for the camp. I usually arrive too late to find the "camp" occupied. Instead of ******** like you do, what do I do? I try to show up early, instead of trying to secure the camp at the last minute. Why dont you stand in line and wait like the others do and take over when the camp's free?

I'm a level 49 cleric, and Hadden conned green to me. I took him out with 2 nukes which hit for 512 each, that's a total of 1024 damage.
I don't think he has quite that much HP. Based on how much HP he had left after the first nuke landed, I'd say he has 750-850 HP

yes this man loots the fishbone earing its work 1k or so. but let me tell u somthing now shall i. im lvl 53 ranger with a great track ability i have waited for this hedden many times in qeynos hills wasted many days weeks of playing time. dont be the fool i have been checking on im ever day hoping he might be there just by a dam earing. if u wont to keep looking GO anhead wast hours weeks u could be spending with the wife in the country.

Maybe the reason you have not found him is because his name is Hadden, not Hedden. Just a thought, perhaps you were tracking the wrong person...

If you kill him once you won't be KOS. On the other hand, you may have to kill him 8 or 12 times to get the fishbone earring. Do yourself a favor. Try the Bone chip Quest and get your faction with Antonius Bayle, and Qeynos Guards maxed and then camp the barbarrian.

I have talked to him twice (first time had no clue as to who he was, 2nd time someone came and killed while I was trying things). As I recall he talks about his fish collection and an underwater city he's heard about but never seen as he's not a traveler. Thinking you may have to collect various fish from around the world, tried giving him a fresh fish, no response.
