As a 15 enchanter I soloed the entrance pretty decently. It carried me from 15 to 17 in about 4 hours but that's with going afk a lot during medtime.
They seem to have some moderate magic resistance so it's good to use tashan at the beginning of a pull. What I did was charm one of the awrats at the entrance, debuff the second and let your charmed kill it. When it dies your charmed awrat will do some crazy victory run around the zone.. no idea why that happens but it doesn't train the zone on you thankfully. When it comes back root it and kill it. Then do the mamruks at the bridge. Rinse and repeat. XP is beautiful.
Some notes:
The awrats are casters with shammy spells.. they try to poison and drowsy you a lot. All of the cats there have sow also so if you think you might need to run stay close to zone. They do hit pretty hard when not debuffed and frequently.

hiya, im a druid and i just wanna know what level these things go green at? now there 12-14 (used to be 8-12. thanks for any information you can pass along, BTW there are 5 seperate pulls at the entrance! =}

the dolls that these kitties drop are also required for the Cazac amulet quests (part 2). I thought you needed the hexed kerran doll dropped from Mitty (?), but my Troll shaman handed in one of these and got his amulet.

these kitty's are really hardcore i have a 20 necro and all the awrats and such in the front are green but still aggro me EZ for my pet and i to take 5 or so but i get trained so badly by a bunch of no EXP kitty's in this zone makes it not worth it tried it with a 19 monk with me he went in to pull since not KOS ran into something got EATEN ALIVE i was looking at his HP on the group screen it was like a very high speed DOT for masive damage i don't know if he ever got corpse back but i went invis and dragged it to zone for him be very careful solo in this zone if your KOS these are hardcore *****'s

Garellron my 17th level Wizard was soloing the 4 or 5 cats near the front and got a Fishbone Necklace as a dropped Item. I have been soloing these Putty cats for 3 levels now and this is the first time that I got that dropped Item. (From a awrat)

The fishbone necklace is from a quest in Kerra Island. People do the quest for the Experience and faction, but the fishbone necklace they get every time is LORE, so insdead of destroying it, they put it on other Kerrans for people to loot later. Pretty Nice, it sells for 5pp.
Oh the quest, because I know sombody will ask...
The Wharf Rat in the building facing the second dock drops a sharp tooth. He's a bit higher level than the ones outside, easy blue to 19. Give the tooth to the Kerran standing on the second lock for the EXP, faction, and necklace. Can't remember the name, just Hail him first to make sure.

her name)you get a faction adjustment and 3gp.

there are some children on kerra isle that ask if you have brought them a toy when you
hail them....the are along a wall near the kerran that will tell you ALL about Kerran history if you go through all the text near the docks....could be what its for?

these are best xp from 10-16 IF you have a group. the loot sux as they drop skin,fish, and milk, and couple of coppers. But if you kill the 2 at entrance and 2 mamluks at bridge and the single mamluk on the right next to hut...you will average a level a night for a group of 6. Trust me...my real life friends and group spent a month there leveling. We left to pursue better loots now.

Are there any quest items that come from these creatures? Are they considered good... bad? I have killed a few with my 16th level Cleric and get a Your faction with KerraIsle has decreased. Is this something that will hurt me in other places besides this island? What do the merchants in Eruden think of it? if at all.
I also heard a rumor that these cats were banished from eruds crossing, is this true?

I tried to hunt them with a 14th level Ranger, which two conned blue. They casted spell after spell of burn, frost, poison and weaken. They ate my lunch and barely zoned in time, just to die on the other side due to poison. Don't go there till you are level 18.

the peoblem is your a ranger.. if you were a useful class you could have taken them.. but your not, restart your character as something else.. and get over it.

Rangers really rule! They may not be strong but if u know how 2 use da bow proply den u have da best class of all (beside Wizards, Wizrds are da best)! I saw this Human ranger kill off 12 orcs with only one warrior helping him ( the warrior was lvl 3!!!!)

These are NOT 8-10. I'm lvl 16 and hunting them right now and they're generally blue, OCCASIONALLY green and that's just in the front. I'd say they're 12-14.
