a giant heart spider  

This guy spawns in the center of the room on the right. I think it is about a 2 hour spawn. As far as the level required for the quest, you better be a bit higher than 18 if you are non-melee and trying to solo this. Some of the regular Heart spiders and all of the Large ones were blue to me. It's quite hard to cast in combat if you are getting bit by these damned things. Plus, if you don't root them, they will run away even if they have support there. they run straight through the pits with all the other spiders and bring them back for action. Make sure to root. I found root-nuke-nuke-repeat to work well with one spider at a time.

Now, about that poisen. Unless you have/are a person who can heal poisen, stay away until at least level 25... that stuff is quite bad. I've had my sv.poisen buff up and have several sv.poisen items and I still got hit 2-3 times in an hour from the small ones that can hardly hit me. when you have a large spider and a couple smalls on you, and you are poisened... it can be good and scary. I had to root->zone once at 20% health... It brought a train of 9 spiders to the zone. (they don't agro though)

AC 17. + 10 poison, Weight 6.5. All classes. Races: Barbarian, Troll, Orge. Found on Giant Spider in Upper Guk. lore item. Looks like ring mail/Banded (Submitted by Belce)

Well I was a 16 War when i went out to Upper Guk to go and kill this spider. (Please don't laugh he was my first char :P) I knew about the trains and all. I found a lvl 41 War who helped me out by killing all the other spiders in the room so i wouldnt have trouble. He also brought a lvl 25 Druid in to heal me in case i needed it. I defeated the spider 5 Times in 2 hours with all that... I got all shields!!!!

What exactly is the armor? I was thinking the chitin leggings, i looked it up and that dropped in Naggys Lair, I knew that the BCP Dropped in naggys lair also, what type of "Armor" does he drop?

No, crafted is a type of armour which is obtained through a quest and is warrior only

This guy was simple... it was me (level 20 Troll Warrior) and my level 30 Ranger friend, Tauran. We killed him very easily but we camped him for about 4 hours or so and all we got was the Chitin Shell Armor and no Shield... he only spawned once in that whole time. His poison is pretty lethal though so be careful.

15ac 10poison not large races only...my half-elf paladin has one and uses it.

I am going to add a little input to my bud Bryntel. The Chitlin Shell Armor is ONLY for Large Races. It weighs 6pnds. and is +10 Sv vs. Poison AC 17, Sells for 70 -110 pp in East Commons. By the way, I was that 19th level Troll with Bryntel, and I got hit with that poison. THe poison did about 350 dot to me (multiple poisonings on me) before it ran its course. Also THe regular heart Spiders will Jump in with the Giant SPider and gang up on you. Normally the Heart Spiders are Non-Aggro, but the Large and Giant Heart Spiders are mean as Rattlers.

These guys con Blue to me at 20th - HOWEVER, they are heavily armoured - myself and a 19th Troll Warrior were hard pressed to damage this guy. It also bites hard and the poison worse. I don't recommend trying unless you have a cleric in tow or a caster to hit it hard with spells.
