I have never encountered this being before, and I could never defeat him at this point in my training. However, to those that have defeated him, I am curious as to how often he may appear, whether it be simply rare or extremely rare. I would appreciate any and all information on the subject.

In Everfrost Peaks, for the last 5 days (EQ Time) he has appeared every 5 min walking by South Tower. Not sure if this is anevery day deal or it will change. But not very many appear to fight him. He has never atteck me and I have been 50 ft. from him. I wanted to know more about him,

He can be killed. Takes a little while but it can be done. I did it with just me and my lvl 48 druid friend. The way we did it was to put up my pet w/augment on him. The druid used ensnare because snare wouldnt work and basically just kept the assassin snared. When ensnared, the assassin becomes totally pissed at whoever has snared him so he chases this character the whole time. At this point, I just used bond of death because its the ONLY spell that stuck 95% of the time and my druid friend had one dot that seemed to work...drifting death I believe. Anyways, we kept him ensnared, had the pet beat on him constantly and used bond of death in combination with lich to keep the mana flowing and after one pet death and about 7mins, we had one dead assassin. He only drops the mantle listed above and some dagger used by rogues only. It was a blast doing it, and I owed him one since he killed me the first time we tried it in Ferrott. This time we did it in everfrost...much more room to run. Good luck to all that try!

I'm a level 55 druid and he resisted my ensnare 4 times before I decided to zone to perma. He's one tough mother....er.

i saw him dead, some guy (most likely a gm) had soloed this guy with out hardly any hp gone. he gave me a mantle with -3ac +1str or somethin like that

The mantle is for the uber god quest mantle for necromancers. The quest starts in Paineel. it gives the Mantle of the Souls. Eru Nec only. stats are : AC1 +10INT +75MANA -5STR -5STA

this guys is a major under con he can take 2 lvl necro a 45 war and a 50 clr with Way over 50% hp left

With my incredibly low caster ac, I got smacked in the back for 496
Yep this guy backstabs like a lvl 60 rogue with a ragebringer =P
He also runs at sow speed and hits for 137ish? Very magic resistant so you need a full group of lvl 50s complete with a cleric to kill this guy.
Think lvl 50 named mob in karnors, then add very magic resistant and this is your guy. And if you try to run you are almost absolutely dead.
I ran from this guy once and I had to run diagonal with spirit of wolf on to avoid getting killed by his backstab. I got backstabbed for 418 with 812 ac and barely managed to get away.
Stay away from this bad boy unless you got an army.
This guy seems to show up in everfrost at least once a day, so just get everyone an everfrost gate potion and camp some ice giants till dark assassin shows up on track or a newbie says something about it in ooc.

(btw killed him before so not just talkin out my butt =P)
