Pegasus Feather Cloakquillmain isnt a long spawn time or a rare spawn time, its just more of a wondering PH noone ever kills. I have killed this white monkey 7 times in a day... not a single cloak either. You have to watch where the monkey goes.. to see the pathing it takes then kill it. Camp the pathing and when ever you see something come on the pathing you kill it too. Soon you will have a white monkey also =D

dont believe what he said. Its just a rare spawn Im not saying he does not have a PH but killed him 7 times in a day, yeah right. Then I can solo Innoruuk and kill him 7 times a day.
He is just rare, a whole guild has killed the whole zone for about 8 hours and trust me we didnt see him.

Killed him today. He was yellow at 29 and I almost died tanking him while my druid friend was snaring and doting him as he resisted quite a bit. He was hitting in the seventies. In the end though, she got Ensnare, Crud and Immolate on, he chased her around the zone aimlessly and I ran behind him hitting bellow over and over and meleeing him. He is pretty much as tough as a cyclops of the same level but with more magic resistance but a good deal less HP. He dropped the cloak. Great item, and the free levitates are very useful.

Well, i was in SK for about 2 hours this monrning when i was just killing wandering mobs when my pet soloed a cyclops. then about 30 minutes later near the aviak village i saw a floating white blob. shure enough it was quilmane. killed her in about 1 minute. she droped the leggings. i was mad i didn't get the cloak. 30 minutes later i was at paw helping someone and i saw another white floating blob. From what i knew she doesn't spawn 2 times in one day, not even 1 week. so i killed her and i got the cloak (/cheer). i was happy. then about 30 more minutes later i spotted her again. this was really odd. i told people from my guild to get down here if she droped the cloak again so they came while i was just letting it flee from me, i had it to 5% life. so it died and sure enough another cloak. 3 ultra rare spawns in less than 2 hours= verry odd. i dont mind, i got a cloak. too bad grizzlenot never spanwed.

I sas him kill a lvl 32 warrior and still had a third of his hp's left. I sent my pet in and he was wacking it for 72 a pop. I killed it with 2 casts at 170 each. Pet had 49 percent hp's left. I couldn't solo him at lvl 28. He is fast. Got the leggings.

Well, me and a few friends were hunting in SK, and we saw Quillmane in the distance...we killed him of course, and 5 min later he spawns, almost on top of us....He had the cloak the first time, but it got ninja looted by an idiot ranger..."uuh, oh was it nodrop...sorry"...*grumble*

Cloak is better than the bard lev song for one simple reason - I'd rather use the cloak for a lev and just selos across a mountainous area than spend that whole time spinning lev and selos any day.

But I will, east of aviak villa is one spot, west along wall is another spot and north from cent villiage to bridge is another spot.
He is a grizzleknot ph. Although grizzleknot is less rare, this guy spawns in the same places.
I've killed him twice, once right to the west of ramp at aviak villiage (where qwinn walks) and once east of the aviak villiage about halfway to the hermit. 20 mins after I killed quillmane that time a treant spawned, so I think theres something up with treants, quillmane, grizzleknot, sentry alechin, and brother qwinn. I've seen them all roam the same path.
Loc on that is something like neg6600, neg1500 or so. Saw quill heading east and I killed it and looted legs. First time I got cloak but that was on my main a long time ago.

The pegasus feather cloak is a required component for the Mage FA style quest, and along with the Crown of elemental mastery from the 7th island in POS, put an end to my questing hehe. This cloak is super rare drop off a rare spawn that is slaughtered withi minutes. Unless your a mage that can rent the services of a ranger for a week, you arent going to get one:(

I was sitting on the stone bridge medding after a fight with a centuar after I saw Quillmane hits xxxxxx for 24 points of damage. I stoodf up to see what that was and it flew right by me, a group had tried to kill it and it was barely alive, i stood up and casted ignite and got it off 3 times to kill him, i looted him and got the cloak.

Sitting at the bottom of the ramp last night, I was SoW'ing random people to pass the time while I waited for some friends to head to Rathe Mtns. A shout went out that Quillmane had been spotted near the LR zone, and I swear, 40 people from the birds suddenly charged towards the zone (with me leading the way). He died very quickly, needless to say. Just as I'd killed him, my warrior pal came up and I gave him the cloak (after having to hold the spawn by the right-click so the ten or so people who hung around afterwards didn't ninja). He definitely must have a low MR.

I neeeed to get one of those cloaks. Can someone tell me what the cost it is for the looting rights. As a necro, i will be kiting a lot and it is useful in oot so you can stay back and med over the water so when a creature pops , it wont get a good hit on you.

If i was given the option to sell my cloak..i would refuse the offer unless it was an offer i couldnt refuse...like an ungodly amount of money or epic quest items :). I have been lusting after this cloak since lvl 15, died foolishly multiple times trying and jibbed by my guildmates for my stubborness and relentless effort. I finally got the last laugh on ole Quillmane when i was randomly running through sk at lvl 50 and happened upon him. This is more than just a rare item...it's a novelty item that very very few people own. Yes it serves it's purposes..running across the zones without falling for damage or crossing over the water..it's awesome. But to have a manaless levitate spell that doesnt require batwings especially for a melee class such as myself... you cant beat that. Ya for the most part im gonna get my deepwater armor and valorium eventually and look just like every other paladin...but how many paladins have the pegasus feather cloak? This item gives me my uniqueness..i love that...no way would sell my prized possession.

I agree to the fully, I am a lvl 33 warrior and have this cloak and jboots, just think of the many deaths I can avoid with these items. And they do NOT have to be equiped niether of em. Just in the inventory.

You can't be serious. This cloak is so rare that I often see people auctioning eboots or fbss just to loot cloak. Plus necros get dead man floating, the best levi spell in the game and it lasts like an hour and has other stats on it. Necros do not need this cloak at all.

My party and I were camping the north spire in South Karana, when we saw him 2 times in one hour, both times he spawned right over Paw. We were able to bring him down the second time, and I won the roll for the leggings. I was a level 25 shaman, and he conned red to me, but I was still able to land 3 DD's and one DoT for full damage. My guess is that Quillmane has a low magic resistance.

I was helping my friend with the hermit a few days ago and saw Quill pop about 50 yards south of the hermit's hut, where I've seen Gnashmaw spawn quite a few times. My theroy is the rarer spawns (Quill, Grizz, etc.) have many different spawn points across the zone, not just one. This is just my opinion of course but I find it to be the closest to the truth.

I can confirm this - there are about 6 or 7 different points for the rares to pop in SK. They kinda form a "U" along the west, south and east sides of the zone. The patrol is quite easy with this. I killed Quillmane 3 times within 24 hours and got the cloak on the third try. The other rares (Grizzleknot, Gnashmaw, Narra Tanith, etc.) are on the same spawn table, and sometimes if you can kill them close enough to when they spawn, another will insta-pop. Translation: kill the other named spawns as quick as you can for a possibility of a Quillmane spawn. People think that this spawn is actually rarer than it really is because most people don't know that he spawned because it dies so quickly that it rarely wanders or is even alive long enough for people to get it on track.
P.S. - in that 24 hour period I also got 2 Grizzleknots, a Coloth, and 2 Mroons by doing the patrol.

I was killing avocets for exp around lvl 35 or so and out of the blue someone says 'Hail quillmane'. I saw him strut by with his big white self, dotted him and started nuking. I got a levi cloak. Was on the 4th of july on innoruuk. Welp never seen grizzleknot but at least I got levis without batwings. I am almost always levitating now, woot. about 2 days later he spawned again and someone wanted to trade a thick banded belt to loot his cloak. Unfortunately I couldnt get to kfc in time and he dropped the feathered leggings so no big loss. Hope other people can get the cloak, unlim levi rocks even if it is a low lvl cast of it.
Add, still use the hell out of my cloak 6 months later =P

Here is the one way to avoid Ninja Looting or an "accidental" Ninja looting event. It works best with a leader of your group that is respected and trusted. The leader of the group should be the one checking the loot to see what it is on a rare mob. That is the way it is Usually done in the planes and other higher level Dungeons like Karnor's Castle. It helps reduce these "accidents" caused by "excited" kids from ninja looting a rare loot NO DROP item and explaining it away as a "mistake" or Due to a Lag Spike.
I have played 100s of hours in the planes and high level dungeons and have yet to see a leader ninja loot an item "by accident".

yesterday our group was removing birds from the planet and i heard the shout, well what do you know here he is to my left running not to fast. so i head after him and pull him to my group. needless to say our group of lvls 20 - 25 remove his wings and hes on the ground quickly. i being super excited ninja loot to see what he had when i go to click on the item a lag hit and its now in my inventory so i say roll, DOH as i look at it i realise its nodrop. WHAT A DOPE! i felt like crap and if my group sees this i wish to opolgize yet again i still feel bad about it. anyhow yesterday he spawned 5 times in four hours during the busiest period when there were 80+ people into the zone. so i think that becuase there were more in the zone cleaning the phs from the land he spawned more.

Come on, you know you wanna take him down! And Quillmane tends to spawn everywhere, walk all over the place, and tends to be quick about it. Spotted & killed by the Treant spawn & Paw. I would stay by the Trees, Centaurs, or Gnolls if you're hunting him, he's around there the most.

i have noticed that though it rarely happens at times rare spawns will spawn back to back...i was killing grennix in hhp and he spawned 4 times in 2 hours many spawns are like this so the feathered horse might have went and spawned 3 times in an hour

aye quillimane is very rare you might not see him in 2 weeks then in one day he'll spawn 4 or 5 times, but him, like grizzlenot are camped majorly and on karana peak times resulkts in 100+ppl in the zone and he's like Lj in oasis doesn't last akk that long, and its FFA for him "sigh". bnest of luck. never killed him myself.
