If you just stand at the entrance ledge to the pool and try to fight the snakes, things can get tricky as your merc may be out of touch behind the veil.
Go right in and fight in the water, it's a bit disorientating but if you have a pet to do the work, just let Fluffy get on with it.

We scored with Nesseun today. Dropped Forgotten Fisherman's Fly Hook, Lucid Remnant of Truth and Glowing Nebulous Dream Shard on 1 kill. We must have got lucky, we only camped her for 1 hour and she popped after clearing the water area only once. Sometimes EQ is good to you and sometimes its not. Today it was good.

Seems to be rare spawn and even more rare drop. We have camped this spot for days and days, seen the named 4 times and we have 3 Mauls. Last named dropped the charm though, just unfortunately the lesser version

There's a little underwater area right before the shiliskin maze, with a bunch of water serpents in it. Those are his ph'es.

On a trivia note, I'm pretty sure he's a reference to the Lochness Monster. The monster has been nicknamed "Nessie," which "Nesseum" is very close to. They're also both underwater creatures, and Nesseum casts "Nesseun's Aura of Mystery," which wouldn't make much sense unless he was a reference to mystery of the Lochness Monster. Fun stuff.
Drops Maul of Shadows
