Swirling Fog Elemental
a rare creature

The Swirling Fog Elemental spawns in the wing that leads to Morell's Castle (the room with the other fog elementals, around /loc 760, -470, 64). It hits for a max ~13,000.

Dropped Ambiguous Remnant of Desire along with the Swirling Fist of Fog June 04. Noticed the chest rem wasn't on his loot table, only reason I mention it. Can't remember PH name, only cleared room once and he spawned in the NW corner near door. Took down with 90/3k AA Bard/Beast Box with tank/heals mercs no problems. Was after the fist for Beasty, so lucky me. Chest went to bard for clicky. The most recent posts on location are correct, that is how I found it.

There are five or six elementals in the round room past the flying monkeys. Easiest way we found to take care of them was to start one room over (3 mobs: cheerless apparition, ghostly vision, and mournful soul). If you tuck up in a corner you can pull two, kill, then pull the last and kill. From there, you can pull from the elemental room, one or two at a time, and work your way inside. Once inside, we tucked up in a corner behind the trapped dream to wait for the respawn.
Amazingly, the named popped after the first clear, but we had the second round right behind it, so ended up staying and finishing off those as well.
There is a nightmare guardian that wanders in and out as well.

Casts Greater Disorientation and Insidious Fog

after you pass chasm of flying monkeys head up hall way north , the small circular room next to it, full of fog elementals is the room you want.

Don't have a loc... but if you're running from the zone in to Morell's Castle, after you cross the bridge you go through a long room with terror guards. at the end of that room on the right, there's a room full of elementals. thats where he spawned for us tonight. He was right on the left as you walk through the door.
Also drops: Ambiguous Remnant of Greed and Belt of the Heavens.
