Last night all he dropped was a pair of cloth gloves, a Gnoll Skin (which I gave to my Monk) and a Mammoth Parchment that was NODROP and NORENT. Any idea what it was?

Killed him tonight but he did not drop the cask.
All he droped was a rusty weapon, a bandage,a tooth and a letter that is written in gnoll.

Where does this master brewer spawn i have been around in BB for over like 3 months and never seend him?!?! can some one help me out here.

The Master Brewer is an extremely rare spawn, but he does spawn at the normal brewer spawn down by the razorgill pond near the boulder. And I'm not certain but I think he also might spawn in the elite room.

I caught him at the regular Brewer spawn (32,32) yesterday. He dropped a cask.

Yes he also spawns between the barrels there but even more rarely than at 32,32

The master brewer drops that cask EVERY time, the gnoll brewer only drops it on a rare occassion. I have heard people camp the regular brewer for as little as 11 hours and as much as 22 hours to get just 1 cask from him. So in other words it is a PITA. I feel sorry for you rogues doing the burning rapier quest. And i thought my testament of venear quest was tough.

The master brewer conned blue to a lvl 14 ranger and i killed it with only half hp easily, does it always spawn at this lvl?

Conned blue to my level 20 druid and comparing the consider message with those listed on the page of this site detailing the consider messages, the Master Brewer I killed was level 15.

I desided to camp these guys when i noticed the demand for the cask signifigantly increesing. So i sit for about 15 minutes, clearing guards as they spawn, low and behold the Master Brewer spawns. I'm a level 14 wiz and he conned white, so i rooted him and began shock of lighnings his fuzzy ***** He broke root fairly quickly and i only got 2 shocks off before he did. He was hitting for 30s and got me down to a bubble before i could finish him. So i expect to get a cask from this **** and what do i get, Mammoth skin, a no drop lore item. I have never heard of this and knowbody i talk to has either. Obviously a quest item, but for what? Please i would really like to know.

Ok Ive camped the damn thing for 2 days (roughly 5 hours a day) and have only seen one brewer. Brewer didnt drop cask and I was royally pissed off. Master spawns at loc 32,32 on third level next to bridge where there is this big rock jutting out of the water. Master always drops a cask but the Regular Brewer hardly ever drops one. Regular Brewer Spawns in same spot as Master but it has another spawn point I dont know where. According to the burning rapier quest guide the brewer and master have 1 guardsman as placeholder that spawns in same spot as brewers so keep him clear. There are rumors that there are other placeholder guardsmen so I just kept the whole level clear hehe. Big Pain In The *** just buy one.

Well I misposted my info about this mob under the "A Gnoll Brewer", so in short, here it is again: Killed him with help and got a cask. He conned red to me at level 11.

I took him on yellow at 13 need some help to take him out. he had a note on him that was in gnoll. I am not sure what is says.

First of all, the Master Brewer is definetely NOT levels 18-20. I killed him this morning and he conned high blue to me at level 16. Judging from how hard he hit (Max of 32 damage per hit) I believe he was level 15. I killed him at his normal spawn point below the elite shelf pretty easily, finishing him off with over half of my health left. Got a BB Cask from him, not really sure which quests its used in but I managed to sell it for 75pp and I hear it goes for as high as 100pp.
Also, he may drop the Cask more often than the regular brewers. I've killed 4 brewers, never getting a single cask. However, the only time I killed the Master he dropped the cask. This may have just been luck though, not really sure.
