Happened to notice on Oakwynd that two of the guards and Konia Swiftfoot, despite conning amiable to me, helped the bandits/farmers chasing me and attacked ME when I ran near a tower with a few of the bandits in tow. Needless to say, they killed me quickly. I don't think I accidentally targeted one, but I used autofire so could have been my own mistake. Still...

Some of the farmers are actually bandits... this means different faction hits.

Recommendation:
If you don't want to mess up some of these factions, stay away from all the farmers! Or at least use /con (but that may not help you if you are an evil-type trying to raise factions due to starting out low).

The faction hits from the farmers (at least the ones who glare and whatnot) are all good ones. Guards of Qeynos, Corrupt Guards of Qeynos, Karana Residents, and so forth all go up. The only one that goes down is a bandit one, which is kind of useless.
So kill all the bandits you see. Come on, they're likely green to you.

Just wandering around in WK when a group of farmers jumped me I was level 8 at the time then the bandits backstabbed me and it was all over needless to say now that I am 15 with some fun new spells I am going to teach them a thing or two.
I've noticed two kinds of farmers - the good and the bad. The former apparently are just normal farmers so I leave them alone. However, the latter can be identified pretty easily by their "threatening look" at you when you con them.
At first I didn't realize these farmers were harboring bandits by their own will. I attacked the bandits and left the farmers alone. When I sat down to meditate the farmers jumped me. Ten seconds later, my level 20 water elemental erased him and I saw the factions link to the Karana bandits. Make no mistake, these guys are bandits and I think I've even gotten a sash or two off them. Those sashes are worth experience and gold and usually a bronze item if you turn them in to Chesgard Sydwen near the House Of Thunder in South Qeynos.

im level 10 palladin i was buffed by my cleric friend he is level 60 i was jumped by 3 bandits 2 ffarmeers i was rooted then beat till it wore off then i ran into 3 other farms and ended up haveing 12 bandits and 8 farmersand i survived with 16 health zero mana and used my lay hands spell but i went up 2 levels in the prosess

I killed some of these farmers on my way to get my pet spell from the barbarian village. I got a vial of Human blood and a Human heart. Any ideas as to what quest these might be a part of? Wondering if I might be able to use them in alchemy. ;)

I was hunting bandits in a group with some of my friends and i didnt even attack a bandit or one of them and the whole leigon of farmers and bandets jumped me even the lv 30 leader was killed oh im a 9 human rogue if that can clear it up.

Those farmers are good people. They helped me out when I was at half health and being attacked by two grizzlies. I died anyways but I appreciated the help.

Note that the farmers at the farm where bandits hang out are in cahoots with the bandits. You can get bandit sashes for the quest in Qeynos from these guys as well.
