Soloed him easy when I was level 24 with my mage. Tried with my friends level 30 pally and I had to run for the zone. My friend didn't have bad equip either, mith 2 hander, near complete Armor of ro. Even with LoH he just hits too hard and fast.

So...

Just be careful if your a tank. You can pull it off easy with a few cleric heals. Damage sheild would be a good idea too. This guys like dorn, fights like a monk with a fbss. Throw on a high level damage sheild and this guy will shread him self apart.

if you have a good skils and are a really good rogue you can sneak in (usually) and see this guy. then you get behind him and try to pick him then imediatly hide again usually unnoticed. after a few tries you will get a plat and a head and excedingly rarely the dragoon dirk, although geting the dirk causes him to agro then you have to run for the window getting BS'ed once or twice. then run for the zone.

Think a 25 magician using a level 20 pet spell and a 161dmg DD could solo this badboy? I'd like revenge and a dirk or two.

I know im a little too low of a lvl to know this but, ive seen more then one idiot die by fightin' d'vinn melee. Ive also seen a person who d'vinn was green to him, 15seconds...dead....

In ending, D'vinn is a lvl 20 or so that fights like a lvl 27 or so.

With the new pet spell at lvl 20, it's easy for a magician to solo Dvinn. Just cast a water pet, buff him, and use your new damage shield on him. Then all you have to do is : send the pet, run, cast a bolt (146 damage), run (lose eventually 44 pts 3 times in a round :) ) bolt again. With 3 bolts he begins to run, your pet will finish him. Water pets succeed very well on their taunts. You need to have 50% mana before the fight or you re dead ! Soloed him 7 times, lost one time ( if the throne room isn t camped you can die not because of dvinn but with the 5 or 6 orcs who immediately come on you when dvinn enter here running ). I had only one dirk on 7 kills, seems to be a rare drop.

In my high teens I visited Crushbone, i had grown weary of the courtyards of unrest and felt that the castle of Crushbone might prove more interesting. After joining a group, we proceeded to hold the throne room. Other groups began to join in, overcrowding the area and lessening our profits. We had seen high levels passing through on occasion, heading to the tower room. There were four of us, we felt that we may not be able to handle what we found in the tower, but just watching the high levels would entertain us for a short time. Shortly thereafter, we found ourselves alone with a high level paladin. He was in search of Dvinn's heart, and thus offered to help us if needed if we would keep the tower clear while he waited for Dvinn. Dvinn was a slow spawn that night so we enjoyed the paladin's company for a while. Our level of confidence raised with every orc that fell to the ground. Eventually we announced to the paladin that Dvinn should fall at our hands. We had no interest in the heart at this time, only that Dvinn would provide us with the exp and excitement that we sought. The paladin left early with the heart, thereafter Dvinn fell, but with an occasional loss to the group. Each fight with Dvinn was quick, his hp was not as high as most, but the fights were long enough that the tank took severe damage. Before long the group disbanded, and a high level mage kept me company. I watched as he kept the room clear. I had my best pet summoned, and a bar full of mana; again my confidence returned. With the watchful eyes of the mage upon me, I would take Dvinn solo. The mage kept the tower clear while we waited for Dvinn, groups below were keeping the throne room preoccupied. This would keep the fight between Dvinn and I. Soon Dvinn arrived and my pet became my shield as I began casting a planned arrangement of spells. Scent of Dusk was my debuffer. Next I cast Engulfing Darkness to slow the escape of Dvinn once Fear was cast. As Dvinn began to run, I cast my dots. Heat Blood, Heart Flutter,and Leach. As the dots ate away at his health, his escape brought him outside the castle walls, I used the remains of my mana to cast a series of Lifetaps and kept Fear on him. He reached the courtyard with a sliver of health. I had drawn my dagger in case the dots did not finish him before Fear wore off. This was not even necessary since the low levels in the courtyard began either running away or attacking him until he fell.
You will notice that most casters have the same spells over a period of 4 levels. Meaning a level 16 necro is equivalent in casting power to a level 19 necro with the exception of resists. With melee, level is important. Dvinn can be killed at these levels if you dont have to absorb the damage he puts out(Fear was my solution). I personally ran out of mana, and this may also be a problem for you depending on your int or int bonuses.

hit for double 60s? where the hell are you hunting? even in cazic if something double attacks you for 60 at lvl 22 you are screwed. group or no group, i dont think a lvl 22 cleric could keep you alive. also, btw, past lvl 20 soloing almost anything that cons even + as a warrior is nearly unsoloable. =)

I am a lvl 17 enchanter, and I have soloed Dvinn before. Can't do it everytime and never in the tower. But when someone trains him out just go to the edge of the trainer hill. Tashan, Root, Sanity Warp, Choke, repeat as neccesary. Worked for me at 17 and he had the dagger. Which I now carry around.

I soloed Dvinn about 8 times just the other day, he never took more then a bub from me. Just root him, back up, and dot him or blast him. Now I am level 37 so it was very easy for me, but even lower level casters shouldnt have much prob, just root, backup and blast him. In fact I dot'd him, sat down, and waited for him to die :P
