I was wondering what lev can i solo Dvinn or what lev can i group. I am a paladin dwarf and a litle twinked. Not to much to matter.

why is it u cant hit him with weapons? even magic weapons miss like crazy. In my experiance (and got lots of it in CB) Cb is more of a place for melee than casters. So why put up an enemy that keeps ppl from camping to important ppl and cant be hit by the magority of the zone? Only killed him once by grouping with 24 druid who nuked Dvinn and we got dirk.
is it possible to incresse chances of taking him? at some point i wanna solo him and stomp on his head.

you need to hit him with a 1hs or a hi-damage low-delay weapon to increase the chances of "stomping on his head"

It has been speculated that he is some type of monk. Even unarmed he is a force to be reckoned with and he dodges a lot...he also may block but we do not see it (further proof f being a monk).

Hee hee... Dvinn is easy if you're capable of kiting him. :) Just snare or root and beat the heck out of him with your DD's. I'm a 24 bard, and I killed him twice today that way.

OK. If you know anyone that can get into Ogre City(and dont mind the faction hit) you have it made. Because the Ambassador also spawns up near the Shaman Guild. Just watch out for Ogre Guards, if they see you attacking him you are KOS. The best thing is that he ALWAYS drops the Dirk, and i mean every pop. This is no joke. I funded my fletching skill (now at 148) by selling dirks at EC. I started soloing him at 25(he was blue) and continue to do so whenever strapped for cash. So if you know any Ogres have em get ya one. Later.

I looted his body and got a Black Heart or was it Dark Heart? What is it for...its a quest item no drop. Please post if you know.
If you are posting this here, then you should see a list above the posts that says "Quests"...one of them is the Paladin only "Falchion of ..." a not too bad 1hS weapon...if you are a paladin or wish to have the falchion, click the link and it will tell you all the items necessary.

Me and a lvl 24 pally and a 20 warrior try to take him, we could barly take him with out the dirk, but when he poped with the dirk, he kill us so fast it was not even funny, so watch out, his con is not the real one, if he cons green, dont trust it, 8)

He is a lot like Dorn in Nro, he will con blue to a Lvl 25 or 26 Pally and he will get wasted. I saw it happen to my friend. :(
You musta done something wrong...like where's your healer?...heh..I'm a Paladin as well and wouldn't dream of soloing him...only Root Kiting will work or Pet Kiting (yeah i know...improper use of the word Kiting, but you get the jist of it)...he hits too fast for me to heal myself (except LoH of course and I'm not sure that would work)...Druids are best for this solo, but I'm sure a couple of others would be good (prob shaman as well?)

Me and some of my friends camped the tower for about 3 hours. We were waiting for dvinn to spawn but he didnt. Is this some kind of glicth or something? Or sometimes he just dosnt spawn. Please reply. (im on the trovnolous server) *i doubt I spelled that right*

Well me a lvl 22 cleric and a friend a lvl 30 enchanter.We both seeking revenge and a dirk. I got up in the tower right when spwaned and he had the dirk.I killed.Then the next spawn my friend killed him and he had the dirk too.Well I think it is random but thats what happend to me!!

I camped him for 7 hours. Killed him 6 times. No Dirk. Random, no way of knowing

HATE to inform you guys but it isnt exactly easy to just camp one spawn in the tower. most those things still aggro me at 38 so not like we can just single pull him and leave the rest. SO in truth if you are trying for any of the spawns there u have NO choice but to take on the WHOLE tower.

This is untrue im a level 28 Wizard and the only 1's that aggros me is divenn or crush. thats it. the rest dont even blink.

is the dirk lore ,no drop or is it just Lore well if it is i guesss he was trying to get it for his buddy but still he should not be an *** wipe about it. he should think of others and not be a hog CAMPING THE WHOLE TOWER

My 28th sesaon Wizard had some problems with him but it was beacuse i took on both Him & the the king at the same time. i was able to root the King then Divnn. i would blast for 181hp a pop but after each blast he would unroot. but i was able to kill him, but i had 2 bubbles left (life). My wizard started with 505Hp after unrooting he would hit me for 50hp? hmm i did not kill Mr crush because i had 1 1/2
ubbles of mana left so i zoned. Not bad haveing to mobs on me at the same time. Hehhehe

I solod dvinn with 26 magician and the problem without problems. The only problem I had zqs the fact that dvinn is not there alone. There was a royal guard, dvinn and another named orc (darish I think).
I started with a water pet but changed it to earth because he is really agro and ignores your pet when he is not rooted.

this guy can be hell for someone who is camping crush and isn't high enough level. here's a funny thing though. i was fighting him once and somehow the guy fell out the window (hehe)
unfortunately a mage had seen him and when d'vinn came around he shot him and stole our kill. (^^)

If you are camping crush and you see D'Vinn, just jump out the window shouting "TRAIN TO ZONE, WHOLE CASTLE", and D'Vinn wont follow you through the window, he will go through the castle.
Therefore you have enough time to make it to the zone safely.

Was in CB a week ago. Some guy who really wanted his Dragoon Dirk shouted to the zone that if he trained DVinn to the zone, would people help kill him. A dozen or so No's later, he trained DVinn anyway. 3 times at least. There were corpses hip deep at the zone that day.

This may sound like a lie but it is not. I was a lvl 12 cleric and i joined i group of much higher players(18 orge warrior, 20 half elf bard, and 21 half elf warrior).I dont know how i got in there group by luck maybe. Didnt get any exp but great loot. Any way DVinn came and we attacked. My healings did nothing really work that well but we took him down( the Orge Warrior died) i won the roll for the Dragoon Dirk and sold it to someone in my group for 80pp.That was the most fun I had in the game so far.

Dvinn drops the dirk 30-40 percent of the time, but it is LORE so you can only have one. The dirk can be used(CAN) be used for the screaming mace quest.

Yep,my lvl 14 necro killed DVinn.Granted he was at 50 % health and i hit him 4 times with lifetap for around 165 points total from a distance,heh.But seriuosly this guy is tough to solo,i tried it at 35 with my ranger and beat him but he did do around 3-4 bubbles of damage.I figured it to be about 600-700 points of damage toe to toe.

I don't understand why people say Dvinn is so hard. Just 2 nights ago I was camping trainer and during downtime I wanted to explore so I casted invis and went to check out the Crush room. 2 Level 16 wizards were soloing this Dvinn guy with no help. Both of em had full hp at end and had mana left over to go invis and med. By the way becareful of these royal guards sometimes when ur invis they will con indifferent but sometimes they will scowl because they can see you! I would have died if not for shadowstep

dvinn is hard unles your a caster cant solo if your melee till level 25-26 i soloed tower at level 20 with my pet im a mage and blasted him 5 times for 143 and he was gone with my pet dealing damage

I don't see why people think Dvinn is so hard either. I'm a level 20 halfling warrior, but I was lvl 16 when i killed him. I was grouped with a level 17 rogue, and we meleed him. Granted, we both almost died because of royal guards, but we killed him. Didn't drop the dirk though =(
Be sure to use your damage shields on the tanks if you are in a group, mages and druids. Each time he hits them for melee damage, your damage shield will return 7 HP damage to Dvinn (Druid spell at L19.)
While he is concentrating on the tank, have the casters burn him down quickly. Keep an eye on the tanks HP for heals. The dmg shields also help keep Dvinn aggro on the tank (for better or worse!) I have gone back and counted up the damage shield doing an extra 130 or so damage. It all adds up.

root is a good idea but i know something better FEAR i have a 27 necro and i kicked his butt of corse i feared him he didn;t drop the dirk but did drop the heart i'm going to camp him till i get my dirk!!!! here is the spells i used: darkness fear heart flutter heat blood and SoP and lifetap if needing and repeat have fun and a lv 20 necro should be able to solo him with this tactic

No this wont work at lvl 20 as you will agro everything and quickly create a train. At higher lvl it is a good tactic.

Yo after hearing many stories and experiancing the beast fot myself i have found out soem very good things to know about him:
1. The dirk is there about every 5-10 spawns
2. Hes harder with the dirk!
3. The best solo tactic against him is the magicians EarthPet/Nuke.
4. If your going to group him with lower lvls like around 11-16 make sure the group is well rounded you need healers pets and tanks!

Probably, but as long as you do this: Tash him, then Root, and cast debuffs on Dvinn for your pet, DoT, and nuke him till he is dead. Or take a chance and charm a royal guard and have him try and take him out, but the guard will most likely die. You should try the charm idea because most of your soloing requires you to charm. I am Lvl 40 now and I solo in the Dreadlands by charming a mob. It is very risky, but it works.

Not a chance im afraid. At this lvl your pet will be dead in a few seconds and you will quickly follow. DVinn is very fast and consequently underconned. As for ench debuffs only the choke DOT line and slow spells will have any effect on the mob.The str reducing spells are just a waste of mana as they dont appear to reduce mobility and dam from a mob. At 21 im not even sure you get a slow spell? Ench nukes, at 21 your nukes wont even warm his toes.

I am a lvl 27 Iksar SK. When I first tried to kill D'vinn I was lvl 21 and he was blue to me LOL that did not go over real well very low con if you ask me. He hurt me more then most High yellows but anyway when I was lvl 25 I came for him again this was a much diffrent story. I soloed him and Crush at lvl 25 and walked away with a little less then 2 bubs of life. He resisted my spells everytime so I just hit him along with my weak pet, oh and I had to use HT but that was resisted to a point aswell at lvl 25 I HT(Harm Touch) for 251 DMG I HT'ed D'vinn he only got hit for 109 DMG =( the hardest part of the fight was chasing him around when he is almost dead...
All said and done I got 9sp 12cp off of him I hope this was just a bad loot, cuz if not he is not worth the effort.
